The entire complex feels like a relaxing resort and everyone loves walking around to take it all in. I thoroughly enjoyed walks with my kid, and going for runs myself since it connects to the Hockanum trail. Staff: Amazing staff who have been managing the grounds for many years. The manager I interacted with primarily, Sabrina, was receptive to feedback and had the maintenance staff address any issues with your unit with a quick turnaround time. When I first moved in, I wanted to make some modifications to my unit and they did it right away and without charging me a penny. Cost: You truly get your bang for your buck here. Every unit has its own privately connected garage and tons of storage space. You even have your own private front entrance. It felt more like a condo than an apartment. My unit had 2 balconies as well and a HUGE walk in closet which I miss so much!! Thank you to the Mansions community for making my stay there truly memorable. I will continue referring folks to the complex. Please keep up the great work of making the residential experience as luxurious as its name :)

Renting a two bedroom in the back of the complex, I find The Mansions to be an exceptionally well run living space. There is a 24-hour gym, heated indoor pool, garages in many of the units and easy access to I-84. The entrance to the complex is right next to Vernon's fabulous Cumberland Farms, which gives us a nice easily accessed convenience store, just in case. Management is responsive and considerate. They have a round the clock number for maintenance emergencies. Management also schedules social events for residents as mixers. All in all, The Mansions is an excellent complex and a nice place to live. I'm very satisfied.

I've lived at the Vintage at the Grove for the past 4 years and absolutely loved living there…read more From the friendly staff, to the yearly updates that occur at the property, my time spent here has been great. In the past 2 years they've added a beautiful new patio and a gas fire pit with Adirondack chairs around it, and two new gas grills, and this year they resurfaced and re-tiled the pool which looks awesome. The grounds of the property is always beautiful, they take great care of this place. Whenever I've had a maintenance issue the maintenance team has always responded quickly with a sense or urgency. The property manager Patti is also super friendly and knows you by name. She is also willing to work with you if there is a problem, and does so with a smile on her face which goes a long way as a customer. It's unfortunate that people will leave a review only if they've had a bad experience. There are always going to be issues, nothing is perfect, it's what you do about these issues that will drive change for the better. The staff doesn't know what they don't know, so if you aren't providing them feedback nothing will change for the better. All in all I will miss living here as it truly has been a great experience for me, one that I will never forget.

Giving 2 months notice in this economy is virtually impossible. Especially since the lease says absolutely nothing about them being required to let me know if rent is raising or lowering at that 60 day remaining mark. My biggest frustration is them requiring you to run hot water ALL NIGHT so THEIR pipes dont freeze and then they will not reimburse you. Using my money to save their as*ess from having to repair something. Not to mention i had to reach out 3 times before receiving my lease paperwork. Management never picks up the phone, i will call and no answer. Then 5 seconds later when i walk in the door theyre all just sitting on their computers. Dont let the new shiny counters and "amenities" fool you. Youll pay 2000$ for an apartment slapped together in a month. Also its been two years since that others persons review and the dumpster is still a disgusting mess. The residents dont care, dog poop and pee everywhere too. Literally trash left everywhere next to the dumpster. When going on a tour, they'll tell you that they plow bright and early so there's no need to worry about that, but all they do is the one strip in the road and block your cars in. They never clear out the car spaces so there are mounds of ice in between each car. If none of this matters to you, its a good place to live and its in a good spot. Within a week of my tour request, I had 3 different voicemails from 3 different leasing agents trying to schedule with me. Our appointment was at 3pm, and our leasing agent was 10 minutes late. I don't think she ever introduced herself, because I don't remember her name. She also failed to acknowledge my partner and only addressed me. Turns out she's only been with the company for two months. She never asked me for any ID, even though the desk sign said it was required. OK. I gave her my price range and she took us on a golf cart to tour ground level, basic one bedroom. It did look outdated and had carpeted flooring. Then we drove over to see a two bedroom. Neither of the apartments looked like any of the images online. I asked to see the renovated one bedroom that was online. Looked much better, but the price was over $2000/month. False advertising using the basic apartment prices for the updated ones. The application fee is $50 per person. Utilities are NOT included. You have to pay an annual fee for the amenities. There are monthly garbage disposal fees, as well as a monthly $5 admin fee. The leasing agent only told me this because I asked... There are also annual and monthly pet fees PER pet. We were never shown the club house or gym, so I can't speak to that. What I can say is the club house had a boarded up window due to it being broken the day before by kids residing in the complex. The pool looked clean to me. All units have a washer and dryer. Maintenance is based off a work order system, with emergency requests taking priority. Pest control is onsite weekly to maintain the property. There are car ports you can rent for $50/month that have surveillance cameras. We saw some pretty expensive cars on the lot. The leasing agent told us to keep our doors locked. I asked the agent about safety in the area due to the mixed reviews about the complex. She said she knew nothing about the reviews and asked me what I meant. Huge red flag in my opinion. How can you sell a product you haven't researched? Anyways, I told her what I read (that residents mentioned roaches and shootouts) and her only explanation was that a new Jewish management company out of New Jersey (I think) took over a year and a half ago and have been working on changing things. However, old residents from prior management who "let anyone live here" (her words not mine) still reside in the complex. She says they deny many applicants weekly now in order to improve the complex standards. I asked her what the minimum credit score was for acceptance, and she couldn't even answer the question. I can't speak on the minimum requirements for having an application accepted. Overall, this place seemed very, very overpriced. I understand that is the market now, but nothing is included in this complex. It's base rent + everything, even if you don't want to use their amenities. AND you can't guarantee safety? Good luck.

There is an inch wide crack all the way around the doors to the hallway and the wind whistles through the door all night in addition to letting in the hallway light and all the hallway smells. The hallway always smells terrible, both from people living in the building with incontinence issues and the laundry room vents into the hall. Bugs enter the apartment through the hallway door, spiders, stink bugs, earwigs... The windows do not shut tight we and the wind whistles through the windows. The windows leak water into the apartment during a rain storms. Birds live in air conditioner and wake you at 4 AM. Outdoor lights in the courtyard never go off so they shine in all night. KITCHEN: The kitchen sink was installed with very cheap fixtures that lacked gaskets so water leaked down under the sink. The dishwasher leaves debris on the dishes so every load needs to be rinsed off. The garbage disposals are ancient and don't grind. If your unit has a washer/dryer... the washer tears your clothes and the dryer vents INSIDE causing massive dust in the apartment. The stove also vents inside, putting grease everywhere. Other people have said this -- they raise the rent - a LOT, every lease renewal!

I lived in a studio from 2007-2011, which had a hallway, huge closets, and a humongous bathroom. The grounds were kept immaculately and the location was sheer perfection. Maintenance were very friendly gentlemen. When my fridge stopped working, they were quick to replace it with a newer one. When the ceiling fell out in the kitchen, they fixed it too. I used to walk to Stop and Shop, CVS, Dunkin' Donuts, and Boston Market all the time. The Chinese restaurant, Tasty, was a delicious convenience for me. They would throw two parties a year; a holiday and a summer cookout! The leasing office for the most part was very nice to me, except when I tried to negotiate the price. A bus stop is in front of the complex in case you don't have a car. The one-star deduction was for the price. These are very, very expensive apartments. The starting price for the studio is about two hundred dollars more per month than my last year rent. For the price, they should include a hot tub in the pool area and built a gym in the basement. Though I felt like I had no disposable income when I lived there, I felt it was worth living in a safe, convenient and beautiful place. I moved out solely because I could not afford (and I had decidedly to move in with my boyfriend). I do recommend Westgate if you make lots of $$$$$, but don't want the commitment of home ownership. Woodland Green spectacularly fails on all three fronts. My wife and I have lived in several apartment complexes--both more and less expensive than this one--and we have never experienced such an underwhelming, frustrating, and dismissive leasing office. It feels like the management team barely even exists given the absolute lack of effort they put into tenant care. First, a warning to anyone touring these units: look closely at the details before signing anything. The homes are incredibly cheaply built. If you pay attention, you'll notice unleveled cabinets, doors that refuse to stay latched shut, and noticeable gaps above the baseboards. Do not let the superficial finishes fool you. The real nightmare, however, was how management handled a major water intrusion in our unit caused by a roof ice dam. Water heavily leaked into our primary bedroom, completely saturating the carpet pad. Rather than acting urgently, management dragged their feet and consistently downplayed the severity of the issue. We were displaced from our primary bedroom for four long weeks. Because we had to use our office as a temporary bedroom, we essentially lost the functional use of an entire floor of our home for a month. Throughout this ordeal, management lacked any proactiveness. When it finally came time to replace the carpet, they offered zero assistance, forcing us to spend an entire weekend acting as our own movers to haul heavy bedroom furniture out and back in ourselves. Even worse, they conveniently delayed scheduling any air quality or mold testing until the exact day the saturated carpet was entirely ripped out and replaced, seemingly to skirt any liability. If you do decide to move out, prepare for a fabricated fight over your security deposit. Upon move-out, they attempted to keep our exact remaining deposit balance ($1,482) by claiming our carpets failed a "pet urine test" and needed full replacement. Their "test" was literally just a third-party cleaner shining a black light on the carpet--which obviously fluoresces if a pet has ever thrown up (which our cat had). Worse, when we demanded the internal ledgers, we caught them fabricating their accounting. They manually charged our account the exact dollar amount needed to zero out our balance on June 3rd, but the flooring estimate they used to justify it wasn't even generated until June 9th. They drained our account six days before they even knew what a carpet replacement would cost. It was only after we forensically broke down their impossible timeline and notified them that we were filing a formal complaint with the state for bad-faith withholding that regional management suddenly folded and returned our money in full. They rely on tenants not reading the fine print or doing the math. I have to explicitly call out the property manager, as she was the main roadblock to getting anything resolved. She is difficult to work with, highly unresponsive, and incredibly dismissive of serious tenant issues. If you browse other reviews online for Woodland Green and Aspen Green, you will see the office staff mentioned consistently for the exact same reasons. But the absolute lowest point came from corporate leadership. After we fought for fair compensation for losing a third of our living space for a month, the Regional Manager explicitly told us that corporate would only approve a rent credit above a measly $300 if we agreed to renew our lease. Read that again: they weaponized a severe building failure and our month-long displacement as a hostage negotiation to force us into signing a new contract. It is a completely unethical and coercive business practice. Save yourself the stress, the premium rent prices, and the headache. Rent somewhere else.
