We have received their catalogs for several years, but it's nothing like visiting the store itself. The store has a great layout including the patio display areas in front and on the side. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and directed to the bar area for complementary beer or wine. The beer was a nice touch while shopping. We found an outside rug that might work for us for the patio and will be back soon to check out a few other items. Great experience. Make sure you stop by! read more

There were numerous merchandise that were mislabeled that had incorrect amounts and the workers saw that and still will not honor their errors. Stay away from this establishment! Horrible service! I am so disappointed with my purchase. I went into the store in Plano and had great service. But once it came time for delivery this whole process turned into a nightmare. The cancelled on me one hour into my delivery window the first attempt. They cancelled on me after the driver called and said he was 15 min away on the second attempt. I then called the number and got a supervisor. She put me on hold for 50 min and let my call drop never calling me back. When I called back customer service told me she left a message with the delivery company to find out what happened and that's it. A new supervisor attempted to help me but it was now after hours. She did call me back the next day saying they still didn't know and emailed me a $100 gift certificate ( you can barely buy a pillow for $100 there) and she tried to upgrade my delivery to Home from Threshold. For 5 days they couldn't even locate my items so I couldn't reschedule my delivery. When I did no one called me the day before with my four hour delivery window. I emailed the supervisor and Fragile pak trying to find out but got no response. Today Inhad to call and ask when they'd deliver. They said between 9-1pm. When they got here they didn't have an order for Home delivery. They called their supervisor and 20 min later after I had to email my proof of the request they unpacked my things. An hour later I left my house at boy to find out they hit our gate key pad on their way out and didn't even say anything. Frontgate is not what you think it is. Do NOT order from them! read more

My original review of this place was even worse, because frankly I felt insulted in my last two visits to the store. I've deleted that overly emotional review and want to focus on the facts. The fact is that this store serves no purpose. If you've ordered from Frontgate before, you know the quality of most of their merchandise. I'm a frequent purchaser and will probably reluctantly continue. What I don't understand is why they would open a store and then not actually display their merchandise in a manner in which you can see it in action. If the item lights up --- light it up. Don't leave it hanging on a wall with only a partial idea of what it really looks like. The employees also do not know anything about the merchandise. They look it all up on the internet (carried around on iPads). They know exactly as much as I could find out in the comfort of my home. The products they offer here are frequently pretty expensive. If they would display them in a way that I know what they look like in action I would be very likely to buy (sometimes I am hesitant online because the hassle of possible returns.) They have wasted this opportunity on an odd "showroom" filled with salespeople who don't know their product. And their are LOTS of salespeople. Every time I've been in I've seen at least 3 times as many salespeople as customers. I really wanted to like this place, but doubt I will ever visit again. read more

This place is hit or miss. Half of my house is furnished with their store but yet I have a different experiences each time I visit the location. If I go in alone dressed nicely they couldn't be more helpful. Today I went in with my kids on spring break to grab a few things. My kids couldn't have acted more appropriate but I got several stares for even having them in there. The sales lady that was supposedly helping me moved on to someone else as I stood there waiting so I went and asked and she said oh they are looking in the back. No one ever came out or addressed me at all. Very very rude and I will only order online for this exact reason. I get so discouraged when sales associates try to judge you based on your dress and what kind of customer you look like. It's sad. read more

We followed the signs that said: "enter left," we attempted to enter left and were met by 2 women telling us we couldn't go in there and to go through the front doors. There was no front door open. We had been working outside in the garden today and probably didn't look our best. We were going there to buy all new patio furniture to have delivered. Obviously, our money wasn't needed. This is definitely an online business. The store itself is beautiful but they don't have much in stock and you end up having to grab a catalogue and order online with one of the pushy sale people who must work on commission - when they place the order online for you in the store they get commission for the sale. The worst experiences in the store have been when one of the saleswomen, Elizabeth, has tried to get a sale from us. She is extremely pushy and does not take a hint. She will follow you around the store, asking if you need help repeatedly. It has ruined our browsing experience every single time we have encountered her. I wish whoever manages this store would change their comp structure so the salespeople don't have to be so aggressive and pushy. Totally awful. read more

I wanted them to be able to survive the elements of the weather we get in So California. It's a challenge to purchase patio furniture when most of the USA is deep in Winter. I'd heard of Frontgate, but had never ordered. The Legacy West Store in Plano, TX was able to locate the chairs I wanted and have them shipped to my home. The chairs arrived today!!! They are the highest quality, just as described online and beautifully packaged for safe shipping to me. The chairs were delivered by JB Hunt, their drivers were amazing. Today we visited the store in the hopes of getting a bed for our elderly dog. We found an awesome bed, albeit expensive, but we wanted to get something special for her for her final years with us. We decided to buy this bed for her but we were told they weren't allowed to sell us the one at the store. Instead they said we could order one, but it wouldn't be shipped until February. We spoke to the manager (Aurora) and said we needed to get a bed immediately. She said she was not allowed to sell the one off the floor. We asked if they were seriously going to pass on a sale of $350 for a dog bed. They refused to sell and we walked out. I have always loved this store, but I can honestly say I don't think I will ever shop there again. read more

Came to this store for curiosity factor and not intending to buy anything. I just know Frontgate from browsing through airline magazines. This place was way more expensive. Sample--$399 for a doggie bed, $149 for one champagne flute, $299 for a teenie tiny table that would hold your remote control, $200 for a throw pillow. You need serious money to shop here. I don't mind paying for quality but seriously? The sales people are friendly and helpful so props to them. I used to shop at Nordstrom because I got that kind of service and customer service is pretty much dead now, even with the promise of commission. read more

After years of ordering from the Frontgate catalog, I love being able to go into the store at Legacy and see their items. I have had great customer service experiences every time. I have been assisted by Elizabeth on several occasions and she helped me with a rather large furniture order and I found her gracious, enthusiastic and willing to go the extra mile to assist. I just wanted to shop in peace and literally had to ask the 4th salesperson who approached me to please give me some space, she glared at me after I told her she was the 4th person to tell me about their "sale" today. I hated the whole experience. The items are average looking, nothing extraordinary, but the cost is ridiculously high. Restoration hardware actually has a glamorous storefront so at least you know what you're getting into, sadly frontgate looked no different than a higher end bed bath and beyond. We're long time catalog customers and were delighted to visit the new brick & mortar store, ordering a couple of items on our first visit. Without going into too much detail, one of the shipments was incorrect (we ordered a side table but received the side table cover) so we called the store and they said they'd take the item in return. Salesperson Melina and manager Shawn made it right by offering the table to us at the price we paid for the cover. Sure, they made a mistake, but what customer service! We liked the quality of their product before, but now we're dedicated fans. read more

We purchased towels after being assured could exchange them if the color wasn't right. We did return them, and purchase a different color - exact same price. Frontgate did a return credit, and charged us for the different color, but they never processed the refund. We visited the store twice, spoke to a clerk, a concierge, and a store manager. We finally filed a dispute with our Credit card carrier (CitiCard) and they credited our account. We will never waste our time at Frontgate again. read more

I have received Frontgate's catalogs for years and was delighted they now have a showroom in Plano. The sales personnel were very attentive and helpful. I purchased several items today and have always been pleased with the quality of their merchandise. However, the adhesive price tags on the bottom of the outdoor wine glasses I purchased today are ridiculously difficult to remove. Please find another adhesive for your price tags that will not leave residue when removing. Thank you. read more
