This is a solid barber shop in downtown Danville. It's run by a Vietnamese couple. I came by around noon on a rainy Friday and there were a couple people waiting. That's fine. The barbers there work pretty quickly, but they did a good job. The last haircut I got was so uneven I couldn't stand it. They did a nice job of getting everything even again. To top it off, they finished the cut with a clean hot towel. That was nice. Bonus points for them keeping the place very clean. Good job folks. read more

Very nice Vietnamese couple appear to be running this barber shop. The shop is definitely small and they don't take appointments. The lady who cut my hair is super sweet and while she cut it a little shorter than I wanted, the haircut came out great esp the fade. Not sure if they have a parking lot, but i was able to find street parking without any problems. Men's haircuts are only $18---I say only because most places are between $20 and $30 for a few places I checked out. I plan on trying this place out more in the future before settling on this barber shop. read more

I moved from So Cal and was looking for a good barber. This place seems to attract older men. The decor is old as is the non matching wall paper. One barber on Tuesday afternoon is not good when you have things to do. An old TV on CNN that no one seems to be watching. Haircuts are OK but the wait is long and the barbers seem to be nice down to earth guys. I think there is a female barber but she was not working that day. The thing that made me raise my eyebrows a little is that kids haircuts are the same price as an adult. Going to look for new place. If you are looking for an old guy hang out, this is your place. New in the area, after being convinced by my sister to go to some bougie salon in Blackhawk, I ended up with the worst disaster of a haircut imaginable. I was so upset and looked to Yelp for some help, after reading about the gentleman who had a similar instance before his senior ball I came to Frontier the next morning. As Cindy put it "you left me with all the bones". My head was a disaster of strangely short and obscenely long chunks of hair, and despite providing Cindy with a challenge with the best spirits and excellent attention to detail I was amazed how happy I was with what she was able to do with "the bones". As I previously mentioned Im new from the area prior to being here Ive had the same barber for 6 years. Now that in the Bay I will definitely be returning to Frontier going forward. Extremely warm, friendly environment, great fade, excellent scissor work and a nice warm towel afterwards to sweeten it all off. I highly doubt you will be able to find a comparable level of quality and service around at $18! read more

Had a great experience today at frontier barbershop. I have a normal barber where I'm from in San Diego but needed a cut while I was in Danville. Walked into a friendly environment and didn't have to wait but 10 minutes on a busy saturday. Cindy did a great job and knew exactly what I wanted. I went there with my boyfriend and Cindy did an amazing job on his hair. He was quite picky, but she was willing to cooperate with his choices. This is a two chair shop on Hartz. Street parking is not easy to find. Both barbers are good hair cutters. Cindy's outgoing personality and good nature make her really popular with the customers. Her partner is a good cutter, but quiet. Even the customers are nice. One day.when the shop was full with 3 people ahead of us, a man came out to the bench where we were waiting and said that my husband, who is handicapped, was next.
