Just had a sale person come to my door. I have a large no soliciting sticker on my door in clear view. The guy, early 20s, male, blonde hair, rings my doorbell. Since I get so many solicitors, I keep an Air Horn next to my door just for them. Grab the air horn and open the door. He begins his sales pitch about frontier and asking how much I pay for spectrum. I then lay the air horn down and it let's out a loud HONK for 5 seconds and I say "No soliciting. Read the door!" and close the door. I then headed out to work shortly after leaving my wife at home. Customer service is the worst. You will wait on hold or for a call back trying to get your issue resolved. When you cancel your service you'll be charged a $50 restocking fee for your modem that you will have to mail back or take to a UPS store yourself. A Modem you purchased to begin with btw. I wanted to transfer my service to a new address when I moved but installation time was greater than one week. I called to see when a new customer can get Internet installed and it was within two days. It is clear that frontier prioritizes new customers over existing customers. When I called to cancel, because I could not wait a week for internet, I was told I should've asked to speak to the customer retention department to expedite my installation date. I shouldn't have to threaten to cancel to get good customer service. The phone tree takes 5 minutes to navigate just to get a live person on the phone and then you have to wait for someone to actually be available. it's frustrating and the internet is not worth the hassle of navigating a system that lacks in customer service and response at every turn. read more

Terrible service. I had better dial up service in 1996. Customer service and sales people promise u things and do NOT deliver any normal service at all. They have overbolled me and over billed me and overbilled me. Not by a little by alot! They finally seen it and gave me hundreds of dollars back in a credit and continue now to over bill me to take my money. My bill was supposed to be 34.95. Customer service is terrible. Their robot answering system loops you without ever solving your problem. Their support team can do nothing more than submit a ticket. So if you rely on their service for work you can expect none. They will not come out to your house to resolve an issue for multiple days. Since installing the frontier fiber optic, we have had little luck in keeping the service usable. Three times technicians came out , fixed it, and the second team burying the cable has ruined and or destroyed the line. Literally just started service with frontier this week. I asked for the self install kit since it would be here sooner than having a technician come out and I work from home so needed it done immediately. The kit comes with a QR code that you are supposed to scan for instructions. Well the link doesnt work and the page won't load. It also says to download the app and create an account and that will also help you with install directions which I did and now it says there is an error logging in. I called 3 different numbers for customer service all of which the automated system keeps sending you round and round in circles. I decided to click on the prompt for business accounts and someone finally answered (after 20 minutes of the automated machine) She then told me she had to transfer me to the residential department. Ive spent too much time on this nonsense already with no resolution. Ive contacted the FCC and submitted a complaint. Same issue again. Called in last night because I was only getting 125mps when I am playing for 1gig. After they did something on their side I was only getting 5mps. Then they did something else and I lost all internet connection. I repeatedly asked for a senior tech as I went through this before he declined for two hours.. after two hours, he said a tech would call me back at 9:58. I received a call when I answered it they hung up. Note that they close at 10, so I'm sure he did not want to get on a call when he's getting off. The next morning I called again and the girl said all the senior techs were busy. Put me on hold for 45 minutes and then hung up on me just a warning for anyone looking at them. You will spend more time on the phone than you will on the Internet. Also, they said it would be two days before somebody could get out to my house. I don't normally share this kind of stuff but I felt the need because Frontier just screwed me out of $149.93. I ordered their Internet because I needed higher speed because like many other people I'm working from home and I have to access via a VPN. For the life of me frontier tells me that it doesn't work yet my cousin has it at his house and it works just fine. After speaking with three different people the only person that wanted to try to resolve it was obviously the person when I called to cancel. Who wanted to let me know that they don't prorate a month and I have to pay a $10 disconnect fee. So anybody looking to access via VPN stay away from frontier because they are not there to help you. I have had them for only 2 days. What a terrible way to do business shame on them. I appreciate the response and I appreciate you saying that it's nothing to do with you but I still have spectrum at my house and I can log onto my VPN using spectrum I cannot log onto my VPN using frontier so it is frontier. So disappointed as I was really looking forward to moving my service to Frontier/ Verizon Fios. However this was not to be. My original install was scheduled for July 5th. When no equipment or installers arrived, I spent an hour and a half on the telephone trying to sort it out. The four people I spoke with all apologized and couldn't understand why or how it had been canceled. An email arrived advising that I was to do a self install, although no equipment has ever been sent and it would be impossible for me to install FIOS! Another install was scheduled and assurances made that the installers would in fact come the following week July 10, and the equipment would be there prior to that date. When no equipment arrived and they did not show for a 2nd time today, I called in to cancel. 6 different people all politely apologized to me and tried to assure me that they would come on a third scheduled appointment on the 12th! Seriously? Imagine my surprise when I received a bill today from Frontier for services started on July 5 ( original scheduled install date) Dennis in the retention department finally was able to cancel my order, cancel my account, and request credit removing all charges. Yet it will be 7-10 days for approval, he tells me not to pay this account, and there shouldn't be a problem. I have an order confirmation # and it won't be a surprise to me if I have to follow up on this also. I have no confidence in Frontier after so many blunders and wasted time. My service was never even started, but they are billing me for it. Each time I have had to call in, it take several people and about an hour and a half transferring you between departments. I canceled my service Dec 7th, called 2 times to make sure there was no cancelation fee. Even ask the women on the phone when I canceled if my last payment on the 10th would be my last she said yes. We arrived in Sarasota on Tuesday 10/10 to no Frontier internet. A Frontier tech activated our internet in a few minutes on Thursday 10/12 Our internet.went out again on Saturday 10/14. We scheduled a service call for Monday 10/16 which Frontier cancelled due to a network outage even though everyone in the neighborhood has serviceThe service call was rescheduled for Tuesday 10/17 which was also cancelled due to the phantom outage. A custom service representative on Wednesday 10/17 indicated we have a class three network outage affecting our circuit probably due to deteriorating Fios cable. This service is the absolute worst that I have ever had. It's even worse than Comcast and Spectrum combined. My Internet went down during hurricane Milton, which I expected to happen. When my power was restored, I contacted Frontier to request assistance with getting my Internet restored. I could only virtually interact with the AI chat bot. The site advised that there was an outage and then they said that there was no Internet outages in my area. However, my Internet is still not working. The last update was from yesterday (giving a restoration of 7:07 am. on yesterday). This company sucks. Go to spectrum, or Comcast. At least the customer service is much better. read more

The equipment and technology that frontier purchased from Verizon, already installed and operational, is top shelf, and I have no complaints about that service. having said that the minute you have a need that requires people you're screwed. The customer service is abominable. The technological firewalls in place to keep you from reaching customer service are considerable. And the technicians appear to be freelancers who could almost give a crap. I waited three days for one to show up, he called on the phone and I happened to miss the call while in the laundry. He didn't leave a message. He closed the ticket as corrected and went on his way. After I waited three days for an appointment and sat at home all day waiting for this clown. Like I said when the technology works. It's great, but when there's a problem to be dealt with these people just cannot manage customer service. Claimed it on 12/6/21, expecting it, per frontier, in 2 to 4 weeks. Well they did not like my complaint, and I was told it was on back order. Mind you I have been a loyal and good customer promptly paying my bill on auto-pay. I in turn informed them that if I did not get said credit in a months time that frontier would start incurring penalties. Low and behold the card came in the mail today. I opened it and inspected it. Then I tried to activate it....well after multiple attempts to activate said reward I called the number on the card. The woman on the other end told me that the card had been reported stolen or lost, and that I had to wait for a replacement. Absolutely avoid at all costs. So when I signed up it said free Eero wifi router so why. now try it out. I called them out, "I had the service before when they switched from Verizon". I figured they would get it together and maybe things were different. The guy showed up and didn't have any of the tools to do anything, wasted day 1. They came and put a new drop for some reason and then left most above ground. 3rd appointment, the guy is UNION and doesn't climb under houses and cries about doing his job the entire time. I have to call amazon and fix it. He said he gave me an old modem and then says they will be in touch if he gets a newer one. never heard anything. So I just signed up with this company, they told be I would receive a gift card and that they would have know reason to come in my home just outside activation, when I arrived home from work I seen this big box in my wall, my son said they told him it was require I was very up set. This specific branch is ok. I've come here twice to replace broken remote controls and the service was pleasant. Most of this review will be about the overall experience with the company, especially in comparison to Verizon. We've had FIOS for almost 11 years. It was initially under Verizon from 2008 and then Frontier in 2016. We have fios internet, TV, and landline phone. However, while Verizon is a nickel and dime company, they at least had better service for FIOS (their Wireless stores/employees can rot in Malebolgia's 8th level of Hades with Billy Kincaid however) Service and other areas have declined in these three years. Cons Compared to Verizon, they have had more outages. Many times when we lose service, all three (TV/phone/internet) are gone and it takes 2-3 days to come back. Even a brief power outage of less than a minute would cause this. They almost never have a tech come in 1-2 days, more like 3-5 if you're lucky. Like Verizon , they have contracts where you get a lower rate. However, their contracts are only valid for 1 year as opposed to two. Also, they rarely give any notification that your contract is expiring and go straight to charging a much higher fee unless you call. Also, the terms of the contract and prices depends on who you get on the. One person said we couldn't get our old price back with a new contract . I called a week later and one said you can. Its a small thing but Verizon used to offer gift cards of between 50-200 when you signed a new contract. Frontier never does this despite asking. We have the basic TV package and the channels included seem to change much more frequently than Verizon. Also, Cartoon Network is no longer on the basc package which is lame considering most of the other "basic cable" channels are still there. Despite changing landline phones and having lins tested, we still have random staticky calls in the US and overseas despite a digital connection. Pros: The service is still relatively stable. The technicians are very nice, efficient, and explain things when they come out. While Frontier does have problems, we are still sticking with them due to the product, but if their fees get too high we may have to change. read more

This location is a small store that offers customer service, billing and technical help. Unfortunately, it is the closest location to me. When it comes to convenience, Spectrum is ahead of the game. This location offers ample parking along the bustling Dale Mabry Hwy, next door to PDQ. The store is clean yet lackluster. The hours are convenient if you can stop by during the week in the middle of the day. I have never waited more than five minutes to meet with a representative. The staff has been friendly and helpful. Their computer systems do not print receipts so they ask customers to photograph the computer screen. I'm always willing to drive here to avoid the cost of the technician stopping by. Worth the trip if you need to return unused or malfunctioning equipment. read more

So my internet went out on Friday September 13th at 6pm. Before that I had frontier for about a year and never had an issue except that they were charging me 75$ a month for internet service only, but that's fine, I figure for better service I'll pay a little more. Well when there is a problem you can't get ahold of an ACTUAL HUMAN you call a number and that number tells you to try to trouble shoot using an app. The only problem with that is my house is a dead zone so I get no data with my cell phone and I have no way of using an app if my internet is down. So I get to an automated message that says call again on Monday during business hours. So I wait until Monday. The internet is still down and I STILL can't get ahold of a human to try to fix this problem until 3pm. Mind you the automated message says "you must be at the location of the internet to correct the problem" but if I am at the home there is no cell phone service or internet. I get ahold of a tech person that sounds indian and he says your equipment is broken we have to send you new equipment. I say ok how long will that take. "Oh three days for shipping." so then my internet would be out for a week. I switched to spectrum that day and got my internet on Same day and cut the bill from 75$ a month at frontier to 35$ a month at Spectrum and they gave me a new samsung phone that is included in that 35$ a month. Now I call to cancel Frontier and I get a HUMAN immediately- seems like they are only interested in helping you if they feel like they are about to lose money. The person I speak to says oh you can't cancel because the new equipment is coming so there is an order pending on your account. I say fine, I'll call when the order comes in to cancel. The order comes in and they say " You can't cancel today because even though you have the equipment and I see that you have the equipment on my end, WE ARE WAITING FOR IT TO POST. Call back tomorrow and maybe it will post by then." Frontier is GARBAGE and They just want your money.
