I was a Frontier customer in North Carolina then moved to Florida where there was no Frontier service. I was promised, however, that I could maintain my Frontier email for life. WRONG!!!! My decades long Frontier email account was destroyed without warning. I lost all of my legacy emails, contacts, etc., etc., etc. You are out of your mind if you trust Frontier Communications at any level. They are massively unworthy of customer trust. My Frontier email address vanished! When contacted customer service and technical support they only read me "standard responses" from tech support script sheets. Even though I did't delete my email account - they say the problem is on my end. My webmail email account with Frontier and decades of legacy information is simply gone. I'm told there is no record of my account. Technically, Frontier could re-start my account but refuse to even acknowledge that it can be done. They outsourced email to Yahoo a long time ago. I made a HUGE mistake by trusting Frontier. What more can I say? In more than 30 years of working with computers.......this experience has ben the worst i've ever had. You have been forewarned. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES! Don't waste your time. I had them scheduled to come for an installation on Monday of this week and they never called or showed up, even though I took the day off too accommodate their schedule. I tried reaching out to them only to be bounced around from one automated machine to another. The only way to get someone on the phone is to select the new service option and you'll be greeted by a sales representative immediately. Unfortunately the sales reps are not very friendly when they realize you've already purchased the service and just need help. They hung up on me once after being on the phone for 30 minutes. Put me on over a 20 minute hold to speak with a manage, only to be redirected to their automated system once again. I eventually went to their website just to cancel the service and get my deposit back. The chat bot said it was unable to process a cancelation and gave me another number. I got my installation order since the 8th of July, only to have my order rescheduled 3 times and I came to find out today (July 23)that my area isn't even able to because it's not covered. I canceled my frontier internet 500 internet service 2 months ago and it was the best decision I ever made, when I had frontier the internet service is very spotty, once or twice a week I could not even stream, or work from home, it was totally ridiculous, customer service was no help was told that if they came out and find that it was not my equipment that they would charge me for the technician to come out that was the last straw for me, I went back to spectrum and I'm very happy with it no issues at all, I would never ever consider using frontier again read more

What a Disappointment!!!!! My previous Internet service was working extremely well, but several of my friends had Frontier's fiber service and were pleased with them. So based on their recommendations I ordered their services. In fact, I had to order it three times as Frontier lost my orders, plus they required a credit check each time. I should have realized that this was not the service for me but continued to give them another chance. When their installation team finally came out, they were not Frontier employees but were contractors and had no idea what they were supposed to do. Because of many issues our installation was rescheduled four times over several months, again my fault for continuing to allow them to move forward. Once installation was completed, we noticed our streaming video was buffering much more than our previous services. Speed test with Frontier was a little less than 1 Gig should have been 2 Gig but their technicians claim service was working properly, blamed buffing on our streaming video service. With Frontier we experienced only a few actual service outages which were short in duration, until Saturday June 29 when our service when out at 2pm. After several hours trying to reach Frontier's support group I was told all their testing was good and they would schedule a field technician for the following Tuesday, 4 days without service. I was told their field technicians do not work on the weekends and Tuesday was the earliest available date. I was not allowed to speak with the manager to escalate our outage. Plus, I was told the service call would cost $150 for an onsite visit. I'm sure like most of you, our home security service, cameras, TV service, home office, sprinkler system and other services relies on internet. Four days without service was not acceptable!!! Of course, I was forced to cancel Frontier's fiber service and go back to my original internet provider, WOW. So, to pour gas on the fire Frontier charged me a $50 service cancelation fee and a $50 equipment restocking fee. This was without question the worst experience I had with an internet provider!!!!! I have had 2 workers come to my home and tell me they do not have the right equipment. The 2nd unprepared worker who came told me that he'd contact an agent to send a 3rd worker that same day. After a while of no updates, I called customer support and was told that the workers with the right equipment do not work on weekends. At no time prior to my first 2 appointments was I told this. The reason why I choose weekend appointments is because I do not live in my home full time due to no internet. I work from home so I need internet where I live. I have to drive over an hour from my mother's home to my home just to be told they can't do it. Had they properly communicated with me, I would have scheduled a weekday appointment ahead of time. The lack of communication between field workers and the fact that the type of customer support needed to resolve this issue does not work on weekends is unacceptable. I deactivated my account. They still made me pay one month and then keep trying to tell me I can just drop off my equipment at any ups store no code needed yet ups refused and frontier prolonged it 6 months out so they can send it to collections and hinder my credit. Frontier is out to get your money, mess up your credit and sell your info to eastern account system.. they lied often about sending me a code and said it would take two to three business days for me to receive, never came.. crooks. Even after canceling, I am still dealing with the aftermath of horrendous service 2 weeks later. I had never heard of Frontier before moving in from out of state but thought the fiber option would be good for the many computers I have running through the day. My internet was often disconnected or slow. More than once when I tried calling to report or get an update on internet status I was hung up on or told everything is fine on their end. I went as far as to upgrade the internet package thinking it would resolve the issue. It took a half day for that internet to work only to be disconnected again to the point where I had to call the tech directly to come back out and fix. I tried calling customer service who again was no help and hung up saying there was nothing they can do. Tech guy ends up replacing the internet line. This line ran across mine and a neighbors yard. I was told it would be buried in a week only to still be following up on it 6 weeks later. After yet another tech guy came out and couldn't resolve my issue or tell me how it could get resolved I was ready to cancel. While I waited for that to be resolved I continued to have internet issues to the point where I downgraded until getting another service provider out. I was able to call Spectrum late on a Thursday evening, they arrived promptly at the early end of the scheduled timeframe the following day, provided updated and working internet within 2 hours, and got someone out to bury their line the next morning! When I cancelled with Frontier I discussed how I no longer needed the line buried as I had a new service. They came recently, 2 weeks after being cancelled and 8 weeks after the initial request, left a mess of yard, had cords all over the internet box that were hanging out, and left my yard gate open. Frontier was the only streaming service available in my eastern Ohio rural area. I subscribed to them since 2013. It was the most inconsistent, slowest and unreliable service imageable. To make matters worse, they invoiced price from $25 - $65 increases, unannounced for the past four years. or so. I often visited the local library for internet when Frontier would drop out. Our average speed was 2 mb. Once T-Mobile offered fiber in the area for the same cost, we jumped ship. We paid for one additional month of unused service and returned the equipment to their prepaid label directions. A month later, we received another draw on our account, after a dispute we were credited by our bank. Frontier rep was no help as they appeared to read from a script and deny any credit or recognition of the actual facts. Later, they sold our account to a collection agency that up the bill to $240. I answer no calls from unknown numbers. I'm sure they have called looking for their pay day. Now they put a mark on my credit report. This is a corrupt organization. Avoid at all cost. IMO read more

Be prepared to be available all day and then stood up without notice. This happened to me more than twice without warning or call back from the company. Then you will have to call them back and wait 30 minutes then explain to the rep only to be transferred to support with a grand total of 2 hrs on the phone. Absolute garbage!! Have been without service since April (it's now June). I was told to cancel and reconnect. Made arrangements for someone to be home for them to "run a new line" from the drop. They ran the line then the tech never showed up to install the box inside the home. Got the runaround for weeks and now they are telling me that the drop line hasn't been repaired and it's in the hands of the "engineering team." Customer service is a disservice to a 10+ year customer such as myself. Still have no ETA on repair and reinstallation. Simply stinks. It used to be very good now sucks. The internet was so slow, they increased my price to 80- with tax for internet only. I called and advised they had internet issues. I was told they had 2 week updates. I never received a call back and couldnt work from home with the internet being down. They had outages and so I had to switch to tmobile. They sent me a final bill that was not prorated. I disputed that and had to call them a million times to get it fixed. I had to of called 3 times to no avail. This is after their tech screwed up his move from one apartment down the hall to another. All cable companies are terrible now. I switched from spectrum a while back to get a faster fiber connection and now every single time the power even blinks the system goes down for days (Yes I have a battery backup on all equipment in my home). I work remotely as a lot of people do these days so I cannot have an unreliable service like this. Closest appointment for the third service call is 5 days away. Simply awful. Also the service seems to go out at the worst possible times. Christmas Eve 8 am power goes out.... No internet until Christmas night 10 pm. It was great to have a house full of people and we can't even put on Christmas music because our Sonos system won't operate without the internet. No Christmas shows or movies because no streaming services... no internet. This is all very frustrating and aggravating. read more

I moved into an apartment awhile ago and had Frontier internet installed. The service person came empty handed and just configured everything because the equipment was already there. The service was OK, but the cancellation experience when I moved out was HORRIBLE !!! First of all they told me I had to pay for the coming month, even though I had already been gone several weeks. ( was prepared to pay for the days I wasn't there up until the cancellation call, but not for an entire month after that. I was next told I had to pay a $50 restocking fee for equipment that was already there. The last nail in the coffin, was that I was told it was my responsibility to go back and get the equipment that was there before I moved in, and return it to them. And if I did not I would have to pay $150 !!! I will NEVER NEVER NEVER use this company again for anything and advise others to STAY AWAY as well. read more

I had my internet go out on multiple occasions requiring a technician come out. Each instance the tech could not come out for about 5 business days, I work from home so that is not by any means ideal and whatever the issue was, kept occurring, so they apparently did not fix the problem. My internet went out again today, a tech could not come out until Saturday. All together that would be almost 3 weeks of paying for this service and not having it. I often do surveys and reviews, good and bad, because I feel it's important for both sides of the spectrum To be heard. With Frontier, it is not often that I reach out, and very reluctant when I have to because I know the experience I'm going to be faced with, and this week has been no different. I initially elected for online chat after being advised through the automated message that it was over a 50 minute wait to speak with someone. i wanted to cancel some of my services to reduce the bill. After a 20 minute chat that I thought was relatively easy, I had to call customer support after all. After another 15 minute conversation, after holding for 40 minutes, I was scheduled for a technician to come between 8-12 to perform the services. I received two text ,essages during the week to confirm of the appointment and an email, which I responded to all. Today was the day of the appointment and finally at 1:00 pm o reached out to find out where the technician was. I held for 42 minutes before speaking with my first representative, explained the reason I was calling, and then put on hold while they researched, and then after 3 minutes on hold, the automated message came up that I was back in the queue for another 40 minutes. Needless to say I was completely frustrated, After. Y second time of holding, the representative researched the issue and advised all had been taken care of in the system and no technician would be coming out. I was completely beyond words and so annoyed with the lack of communication in this organization. There was no explanation really given, just apologies for the inconvenience. Frontier is the worst of the worst. My house flooded so I needed new internet equipment. I first tried using chat as all I wanted was a new router. Multiple times I was told it would arrive the next day. Nothing, so I called and was constantly put on hold while they checked my account (many times). I asked what was being checked and the only answer i could get was .. this is our process sir. After 45 minutes and 5 holds later, he could still not figure out how to mail me the equipment. I asked to cancel and he sent me to cancelation department. There i was told they could send a technician to my house if i didnt cancel. I said ok and was sent to technical support for technician scheduling. Technical support rep said he needed permission from someone else to send technician. Guess what .. back on hold many times. Finally comes back and says l would continue to wait as he could not reach anyone, maybe i should just get equipment mailed to me. Unfortunately, he would need to transfer me for that as he couldnt do it. I asked to go back and cancel. At cancelation department they could not cancel me because 1 of the previous people had somehow locked the file. Finally, cancelled after 1 hour 52 minutes on just this phone call. Moral to the story is frontier customer service is unforgivably awful. Called to have my internet reconnected as a plumbing company cut our service and Fronteir simply "fixed" our service from their office as if someone had simply shut it off even though it was physically cut.
