Terrible internet service!!!!!! Internet has been down in the Lutz area for 2 days.They texd an update at 3:20pm Friday, saying that it would be repaired by 6:00 PM. That never happened there was no update until 8 o'clock the next morning saying that it will be repaired by 1 PM on Saturday, then we received a text message a half hour later saying you will be repaired by 7:00 PM on Saturday. I would give them 0 stars if I could. I signed up with frontier because they had someone in the neighborhood going door to door promoting their internet service. when it was installed something wasn't completed correctly and it took them a week to come out and resolve it, mind you I work from home, very inconvenient as a single mother. I had to find someone's home to work from in addition to it causing inconveniences in my home life with 3 children. When there was an outage in the area I wouldn't get a notification for hours after I was already using my hotspot (had to turn around and upgrade my phone plan because of the first rodeo mentioned above) Now, I have recently gotten married and am moving to another town where I know Spectrum has the monopoly and Frontier is not offered. First call on 2/11/26- answer with dead air, no one came to the call. Second call on 2/11/26- I connected with a gentleman that continued to try to offer me to upgrade my service, I explained I'm moving my husband has service already and he continued to read off his script, completely ignoring me when I spoke. Then he placed me on hold and the call was dropped when he realized I wasn't going to be able to be retained. Third call 2/11/26 I connected again with another gentleman who explained it was required that they read from the script even though they don't even offer service where I'm moving. I didn't have the apparently "required pin" so he sent a push notification and was completing the disconnect request. Got all the way to the end and whoop the system had an issue and the disconnect order was lost. By this time it was 8 o'clock est and the call center was closing. Fourth call 2/19/26- called AGAIN and this time opted for the option to move service(even though I have service in the new location) thinking this would circumvent the requirement to retain low and behold the automation confirmed what I already knew, no service in Spring Hill FL!!! This next guy was a peach, his tone reeked of him hating his job, when I mentioned I understood he had to read from the script but to please negate it because I've done this several times already he assured me how organic it was. Mind you I'd already heard all three offers in addition to that when I told him I already got so far into this process he decided it'd be a good idea to explain how the previous rep was one who was next in line to be terminate. Again he asked for a pin, I explained I don't have one and he told me I can't receive push notification to move forward and they have to mail me the pin. Now at this point I'm beyond irritation hives. never received a paper invoice and never set up an account because I set up autopay during signing up for the additional discounted rate. I've been without internet for 4 days. I called them and they wanted to replace their router, charging me an extra $15. I already pay more to them compared to the competition, but they're going to send me the new router, but it will take another 3 business days, more than a week without internet. I would not recommend doing business with Frontier Communications. I switched providers in 2019, and since then I started dealing with frequent random problems and disconnects from Frontier, despite having 1/1Gbps fiber. Working from home made it difficult to switch immediately. Once my two-year contract ended, I was hit with a 50% price increase. Fast-forward to 2025--my new condo doesn't offer Frontier, so I had to cancel. That's when I discovered my account suddenly qualified for a $19.99/month plan due to "seniority"--after paying $92 per month for over four years! To make matters worse, I spent an hour on the phone only to be hit with an equipment restocking fee, and then told that "shipping is free" after paying $50 just to return their equipment. It's a complete disregard for customers' time and money, with no real value offered. read more

If there was a no star option, I would pick that. Our Internet has been having issues since January 19th and we still have no resolution on February 2nd. Every morning we have to call and try to get our Internet online, and every time we call we get a different answer, try replacing every part and still nothing. They say they will do one thing and find out the next day they didn't. All they try to do is upsell you. Nobody cares about your issue, one representative said "well just hope it starts working again." Last representative wouldn't want to speak me, after speaking to my husband. The representative was very insulting and condescending because I was a woman. Every time you ask to speak to a manager, you are told a variety of excuses. Frontier is a disappointing company. They only follow scripts and do not have associates that speak like humans. They will not cancel your service without a 4 digit pin that comes from your bill so if you're cancelling day 1 because of an issue you will not be able to cancel until you receive your first bill. It's a good gimmick to make sure they get as much money out of you as possible. I've already resigned to simply let my account go to collections, but it doesn't change the fact that they simply have made it impossible to cancel the account on day one and they'd rather you throw their equipment in the garbage than cancel day 1 for you. I recently subscribed to Frontier for my whole home package (landline, tv, wifi). The sales person, Margaret, was excellent at her job and answered all my questions. Within a couple of days, a work crew came out and trenched my cable from their box to my house. Amol, the technician, showed up and did a fantastic job of installing the hardware and getting me set up. Phone, WiFi ... no problem. He tried to get me connected to the Frontier/YouTube set up. No dice. The app repeatedly showed "Oops problem is with Frontier, Try again later." Many tries later... nothing. Amol then called a human being in support (I didn't get her name) but she said I had to wait for 48 hours before anything would be done. She said she would call me back at 4PM on Friday (this is before noon on Saturday). Amol did everything he could. Well, Friday came and went. Nothing. So, finally I get fed up and on Easter Sunday, I tried the AI support on Frontier. After struggling with the concept, the AI referred me to a human being. And, no you cannot make this up ... Jesus appeared to me online. After checking and double checking he said that I was subscribed but the YouTube TV was not added to my plan. He said it was still "pending" and YouTube would have to connect me. He then gave me the YouTube help line. I contacted them. They asked if I had gotten the connection email from Frontier yet. I assured them I had not. They said will until you get the email from Frontier no connection will be made. So, I wind up in no man's land. I had great hopes for Frontier because of the great start. But disappointment reigns. Of course, according to my billing statement, I will be charged for the YouTube TV. The best advice I got in this whole process is: Do not turn off your Spectrum account until you are sure the Frontier account is fully functioning as it should. read more

I work from home and have been without internet since yesterday at 3pm, they troubleshooted my service over the phone and promised to send a technician out tomorrow morning. NO ONE showed up from 8-12, when I called to follow up they said the technician had Cancelled the visit!!! So now I have to wait until tomorrow before a tech can come to the house!! What a joke that you guys have such poor processes in place! How do you ALLOW a tech to cancel a work order for someone who has NO service? And there is ZERO follow up or communication with your customers. This is poor management and process! Get your business workflows aligned!! I was promised a test where I could compare it to my Spectrum internet for a month side by side. The technician showed up, pulled the coax from the wall, cut the cable AT GROUND LEVEL outside, broke the wall plate, and then proceeded to explain to me how fiber is fiber and needs to go where it has to. He clearly had no concept of how it actually works, yet had no issues trying to mansplain it to me. He then explained if I want to go back to my old provider (which I do) I need to get them to run new coax because it goes bad. Frontier Communications is THE WORST ever!! My internet went out. Called to let them know. "Oh, it will be 2-3 weeks to retrieve. Spoke to Luke. But...you can switch to several other carriers. (?) Spectrum being one of them (which I chose & started on May 5). "Don't worry you won't have to pay any more bills as long as I return the equiptment" (gave me a shipping code and I did return 7 days later...still have the receipt. Talked to Luke (478 200 0199 SCAMMER) I then got a bill from Frontier for one month. I disputed my charge and got it wiped off my card.. Called Luke again (thinking this was really Frontier) "Don't worry, I will fix it" He didn't because I got another bill from Frontier. Did some research and called THE real Frontier (I think) Luyanda had me call the scammer # and he was listening, After a few comments, Luyanda said "That is a scam" Luke heard him and hung up right away. Luyanda gave me a case# and said he would expedite. I heard nothing back. Now comes another bill 288.00, Called real frontier and they said "sorry but you owe this amount. The router went out and I spent 6 hours on the phone with their tech support and internet was never restored. They then scheduled me a service call between 8:00 and 12:00 no technician ever called me I called twice and was assured that the technician would be here before 12:00 to get my Internet fixed so I could work and not lose my job. Called them for a year, over half a dozen time to come out and bury a box that floated up from the hurricane. Every time a tech comes out, they flag it off and say, "I dont have the equipment needed to bury the box. I'll send someone else". They leave, close the ticket as though it's resolved, and we are back at square one. Again... I've gone through this same process half a dozen times. Fast forward to this week, a construction company is digging a hole and snips the line. I call, ask for someone to come out and repair the line asap, since I work from home. They schedule someone the next day. He drives up, looks at it, and leaves. He "didn't have the equipment needed to fix". So at this point I'm noticing a pattern. I spend 3 hours on the phone. I attempted to escalate, the Indian call center wouldn't allow me to speak to a supervisor. She said, the supervisor is on another call. I replied that I'm happy to wait on hold as long as needed until they are free. (I've already wasted an hour at this point, why not) So I ended up just saying, either we escalate this to a supervisor, or we cancel my service. I have no other idea what else to do if I can't even get the service restored. To which, the lady transferred me to the retention dept. I get a supervisor from that call, that immediately states she can't help me with the technicians, which is wild cause the tech support line also said the same thing. But I told her I don't trust that anyone is coming out tomorrow to fix anything based on my extensive experience with them already. But hey, I'll take the 2 months credit you gave me for the prob 5 hours in total I've had to waste calling you all. If they fix it tomorrow great. If not.... Back to spectrum. All that to say.... Dishonest and unethical cable & internet provider. Warning to those who have no choice or sign up with Frontier Communications who partner with YouTube TV for cable streaming. I switched because my bill increased to $150 a month for 500 Mbps internet & YouTube Cable streaming through Frontier Communications. Frontier tried to negotiate 3 months free and no thank you. Spectrum was able to save me $2080 annually for cable, internet & mobile. I've been on Spectrum for 2 months & no issues. When you cancel wifi and cable streaming through Frontier Communications- there is a $50 disconnect/restock fee. Also, you must cancel directly through YouTube TV. If you don't, you'll be charged an additional month of service $74ish plus $12ish tax. Frontier Communications is not transparent and will not disclose this information when you call to disconnect. Frontier will refuse to credit the YouTube TV additional monthly service charge even though you cancelled & it's billed through Frontier. I filed a formal complaint through the FCC and Frontier will not credit you based on their dishonest billing practices. Companies get away with ripping customers off by not disclosing and you're stuck with the bill. I'm tired of companies taking advantage and not being held accountable. Never will do business again!! I cancelled service after two weeks of technicians not getting us back up nd working. Was promised a credit and told I would not pay restocking fees. After 10 at least 10 phone calls and many online chats I was assured I would not be charged and my balance would be 0. I even gave them the time and date of the online chat so they could see what the agent said, as well as all their notes. My 3rd appeal was denied. I paid the amount as that was not the issue the issue was the promises made and not kept. Terridle and useless service. frontier kept upping my price every 6 months for internet. called in to find out from the customer service rep they have been ripping me off for years that I have been overpaying. theres nothing they can do. so due to principle I cancelled even after she offered to drop my rate in half. I was guaranteed when I signed up four years ago that it would be 6999 for a year. She told me after three months they upped it to $72. Yes I should've been paying attention but being a working mom it's hard this year they raised it to $92.89 and yet nothing has changed. when I said I wanted to cancel she told me I have to pay a $55 cancellation fee that this is their in order to cancel. Beware of restocking fee of 50$ which only be revealed to the customer when disconnecting the internet service and not while promoting their service with free devices and installation. I was not aware of this charge and frontier guy only mentioned that I can disconnect anytime . I spoke to 3 of the customer service technicians and they said it is valued charge which no other internet provider is charging. I also have my own devices but still went for these devices with them because they promoted as more updated and efficient devices for free with the services. Looks like these guy are selling devices by charging restocking fee as if other internet providers don't need restocking after disconection. I could have know about frontier before switching. Worst wifi provider out there. I was a loyal customer for 4 years, wifi kept dropping out constantly. I called to have a technician come out, was told that was not possible. Then had to switch because it was so unreliable for work. Called to cancel, first they tried to get me to continue at 30% of what I was paying, then I said no. then they offered me 3 months free plus 30% of what I was paying. So they don't help me when Im a loyal customer of 4 years but when I cancel all of a sudden they can take way less for the same service. They increased my bill 3 times while I was with them. Then they charged me over $100 just to cancel my service. I would highly recommend going with another provider. They even told me that they the router they gave me didn't support the level of wifi I was paying for the whole time, and tried to charge me to get a new router. read more

My poor review is based on scheduling mistakes, laziness of the installers, placement of the devices and leaving behind a mess. Frontier never show up on the first scheduled day. I called with concern due to waiting at the property since early in the morning. I spoke with someone and was assured they'd arrived even though it was late. Getting a hold of anyone helpful was a nightmare! Second scheduled appointment with Frontier, I was told they'd give an hour heads up. I do not live at the property. They called stating they were at the house. I was an hour away. Someone was at the property so I decided to just let them do the install knowing they are so unreliable, who knows when they'd be back. When I arrived, after the install, it was a mess. Small pieces of wire and debris, dust piles all along the wall, being new to Florida I wondered if this was to be expected. No clean-up? Aside from the mess, the location which they chose, telling the person present it's where it needed to be installed, is a terrible location. There was a TV set up in the obvious spot in the living room and the house was basically empty, they could have definitely installed in a reasonable spot. They chose an outside wall along an entry pass through the size of a door, into the living room. Example, you can't push a piece of furniture through the entry way without it hitting the devices mounted on the wall and devices on the floor. This had to be the easiest placement. There's no other reason possible to install here. The Frontier installers knew the person there had no idea and would believe that was the only option. If Frontier arrived the day they were scheduled the first time or gave me a heads up the second installment date, I would have been there and I would have pointed out that they could install elsewhere. There's no way I would have agreed to that location, it's absurd. If at the time, I didn't have several, significant events occurring in my life, I would have at least, had them come back and re-install elsewhere. I was so upset, I wanted to cancel the service, and go with another company. The person living there had been without internet and would rather step over equipment than go without internet any longer. Frontier is the last company I will consider in the future. read more
