After 10 at least 10 phone calls and many online chats I was assured I would not be charged and my balance would be 0. I even gave them the time and date of the online chat so they could see what the agent said, as well as all their notes. My 3rd appeal was denied. I paid the amount as that was not the issue the issue was the promises made and not kept. Terridle and useless service. Reported a downed line. It was laying across the road - from one side to the other. Cars and trucks were driving across the line. It is now day 5 and no one has come to fix it. We had a home fire and all of our mechanicals were a loss. We called Frontier and they said no problem we will suspend your service. 9 months into our re-build we receive a bill from Frontier. My wife called and was told we are so sorry we will take care of this and suspended the account again. 30 days later we received another bill. Beware of restocking fee of 50$ which only be revealed to the customer when disconnecting the internet service and not while promoting their service with free devices and installation. I was not aware of this charge and frontier guy only mentioned that I can disconnect anytime . I spoke to 3 of the customer service technicians and they said it is valued charge which no other internet provider is charging. I also have my own devices but still went for these devices with them because they promoted as more updated and efficient devices for free with the services. Worst wifi provider out there. I was a loyal customer for 4 years, wifi kept dropping out constantly. I called to have a technician come out, was told that was not possible. Then had to switch because it was so unreliable for work. Called to cancel, first they tried to get me to continue at 30% of what I was paying, then I said no. then they offered me 3 months free plus 30% of what I was paying. So they don't help me when Im a loyal customer of 4 years but when I cancel all of a sudden they can take way less for the same service. They increased my bill 3 times while I was with them. Then they charged me over $100 just to cancel my service. I would highly recommend going with another provider. My poor review is based on scheduling mistakes, laziness of the installers, placement of the devices and leaving behind a mess. Frontier never show up on the first scheduled day. I called with concern due to waiting at the property since early in the morning. I spoke with someone and was assured they'd arrived even though it was late. Getting a hold of anyone helpful was a nightmare! Second scheduled appointment with Frontier, I was told they'd give an hour heads up. I do not live at the property. They called stating they were at the house. I was an hour away. Someone was at the property so I decided to just let them do the install knowing they are so unreliable, who knows when they'd be back. When I arrived, after the install, it was a mess. Small pieces of wire and debris, dust piles all along the wall, being new to Florida I wondered if this was to be expected. No clean-up? Aside from the mess, the location which they chose, telling the person present it's where it needed to be installed, is a terrible location. There was a TV set up in the obvious spot in the living room and the house was basically empty, they could have definitely installed in a reasonable spot. They chose an outside wall along an entry pass through the size of a door, into the living room. Example, you can't push a piece of furniture through the entry way without it hitting the devices mounted on the wall and devices on the floor. This had to be the easiest placement. There's no other reason possible to install here. The Frontier installers knew the person there had no idea and would believe that was the only option. If Frontier arrived the day they were scheduled the first time or gave me a heads up the second installment date, I would have been there and I would have pointed out that they could install elsewhere. There's no way I would have agreed to that location, it's absurd. If at the time, I didn't have several, significant events occurring in my life, I would have at least, had them come back and re-install elsewhere. I was so upset, I wanted to cancel the service, and go with another company. I recently subscribed to Frontier for my whole home package (landline, tv, wifi). The sales person, Margaret, was excellent at her job and answered all my questions. Within a couple of days, a work crew came out and trenched my cable from their box to my house. Amol, the technician, showed up and did a fantastic job of installing the hardware and getting me set up. Phone, WiFi ... no problem. He tried to get me connected to the Frontier/YouTube set up. No dice. The app repeatedly showed "Oops problem is with Frontier, Try again later." Many tries later... nothing. Amol then called a human being in support (I didn't get her name) but she said I had to wait for 48 hours before anything would be done. She said she would call me back at 4PM on Friday (this is before noon on Saturday). Amol did everything he could. Well, Friday came and went. Nothing. So, finally I get fed up and on Easter Sunday, I tried the AI support on Frontier. After struggling with the concept, the AI referred me to a human being. And, no you cannot make this up ... Jesus appeared to me online. After checking and double checking he said that I was subscribed but the YouTube TV was not added to my plan. He said it was still "pending" and YouTube would have to connect me. He then gave me the YouTube help line. I contacted them. They asked if I had gotten the connection email from Frontier yet. I assured them I had not. They said will until you get the email from Frontier no connection will be made. So, I wind up in no man's land. I had great hopes for Frontier because of the great start. But disappointment reigns. Of course, according to my billing statement, I will be charged for the YouTube TV. The best advice I got in this whole process is: Do not turn off your Spectrum account until you are sure the Frontier account is fully functioning as it should. read more

We spend $104.99 per month for Frontier internet and want to warn you of their fraudulent business practices that I will be reporting to the FTC.gov and the better business bureau. We haven't subscribed to cable or a scam line aka landline in 20 years so that cost is for internet only. 11 days ago, after returning from vacation, our internet was out. We called Frontier about 10 times plus 2-3 online chats and experienced the WORST customer service I've ever had. We were told multiple times that they can "see the signal" from their computer and it is going to our house. Of course they couldn't get a service technical person to assist but forced us to go through ridiculous time consuming restarts, hard restarts, resets to factory settings. We also changed out cords. They blamed our Orbi mesh system so we bought a new $400+ system but it still didn't work. Then we had to add mobile wifi for $45 to use as a stop gap while waiting for Frontier to get their act together since we work from home. I called once again and that time their story changed to we needed to add an additional professional technical service called My Premium Tech Pro for an additional 33 cents per day so we added that. We called them and they could not schedule us to come out for 4 more days but did say the problem was likely an old Frontier router that was incompatible with the latest firmware update they pushed out. Yesterday, my husband noticed there was a Frontier van parked next door so he went and talked to the guy. Apparently the neighbor was without internet for the exact same time period as us...hmmm...what a coincidence. Luckily the guy came by after changing the neighbors router because both ours and my neighbors routers were so old that when Frontier pushed out a new firmware update, it caused ours to no longer work. I was finally told that Spectrum had a 30-day money back guarantee in which I could cancel their service and continue with Frontier, and that Frontier would beat Spectrum's monthly fee ($127 a month for two years). I then received a bill for $33.04 from Frontier. When I called to inquire about the bill, I was told it was for TV fees. Finally after 3 weeks I reached an agent (yes I'm diligent), the agent apologized for the inconvenience and told me my service is working, I responded by saying it's not, please have someone come check it, they responded it might be a few weeks due to the storm cleanup so I told them to cancel my service and I returned my equipment. Two months later I receive a bill for the month of October when I had no service. I disputed the charge (why pay for something I didn't get), they explained, read the "terms & conditions", which state I'm responsible to pay for the entire month even if I had service for ONE minute of the month. Frontier put me into collections for service I never received, further disputed with Eastern Account Systems (another sleazy operation), they spoke to Frontier which told EAS they want their $87, no credit for not having service. I am very dissatisfied with Frontier! I lost my service on 6/28 after we had a power outage in the area. I spoke with tech support and they determined that they could not detect my router so they scheduled me with their first apt for 7/8 between 1;00 PM to 5:00 pm. 11 days seems a bit excessive for a wait time but I waited . then yesterday when my apt time came I received a text message at 4:01pm saying they are aware that the tech hasn't arrived yet and will send a text when on the way at 5:58 PM I received a text message rescheduling my apt to 7/15 between 1:00 to 5:00 PM. I contacted Support again and was told that was the soonest apt time and that apparently they are having personal issues in the Radnor Oh area. I have been in customer support for over 30 years and i must say this is the worst experience I have ever experienced and to be with out service for at least 18 days with no help at a resolution is very disappointing. It came in after 2 days. Today the router stopped working, they said it would be 2 to 3 business days before I received a new one. The whole of Frontier Fios is consisting of horrible service, predatory pricing, and bad connectivity. During installation, my outer and inner walls were damaged. After my second week in my first month of no internet connection, I was told that it was my fault and a service tech would come out and charge me 150 dollars to see if I damaged my equipment. I canceled the service three weeks into starting it and git billed for two more months. I returned the equipment the day after canceling and got a bill for 321 dollars for unreturned equipment. I told customer service the UPS tracking code and was told my equipment was still in use. I had to turn off Auto Pay and remove my debit card on file to stop the charges. I switched to frontier less than 3 months ago. we have had spotty internet (especially with it being fiber optic). my internet went out on 3-9-24...my wife and I both work from home and the earliest appointment was 3-12-24 between 8am-12pm. Customer service on 3-10-24 said that they raised my ticket to emergent and will be notified of my update but I never was notified. After multiple calls and "chats" I got no resolutions other than to wait for my original appointment! Here I am on 3-12-24 at 1:30... the technician still hasn't come, the app hasn't updated anything, and I keep getting the same line from customer service about them 100% coming out. (But I heard the same thing about them being here 100% between 8am-12pm). Now we have scrambled and had to take off work multiple days due to our internet outage and the only option is to wait. Horrific customer service, customer service can't speak with the service department in any way. It's a mess and no one has been able to forward me to anyone with any power to rectify the situation, hold anyone accountable, or provide anything other than an apology For the inconvenience. Please do better in the future.... As far as the quality and reliability I have no complaints. Yes like many Internet providers price creep is a problem. In my three years with them the service went from 40 to 90 dollars a month. Although I switched 2 months ago I didn't cancel my account with them until today as I use my internet connection for my job and I needed to make sure my new provider was reliable. On my call to disconnect I was told I would receive a final bill for a DISCONNECTION FEE of $50. When I tried to get an explanation, I was told it was for re-condition the equipment I will be returning.
