The primary issue is that two of the three games didn't work. The inflatable skeeball machine came with a torn power cord for the blower. The inside wires were clearly exposed, and as a result, it kept deflating. With a lot of duct tape, we were able to get it to function for the three hours. The other, which operated on just a simple 9v battery, died after one use, and of course, we didn't have another 9v battery. Fortunately, a neighbor did, so we were able to get it fixed within an hour. (The third game did not have any electronic parts.) They were also very odd with the contract. You pay a deposit, then - even though they have your credit card - you have to "authorize payment" in full two day before. Totally fine. Except that I did authorize payment both by email and text, well in advance of the deadline - and they STILL cancelled my order and attempted to charge me a "reinstatement fee," which I had to call to fight with them to get it removed. Failed to respond to emails asking for additional rental of tables. We also had to pay a "late pickup" fee because our event started at 6, and they refused to pick up any later than 9pm, despite paying the late pick up fee and repeated requests over the weeks leading up to the event, including offers to pay more for a later pick up. Literally, kids are playing at 9:03, and they disconnected the power. Overall, they just weren't nice, and the equipment was pretty sad and worn down. Definitely will stick with the tried and true companies, who seem to appreciate their customers and to understand that renting party stuff should be JOYFUL and FUN, not mean and difficult.

He was very responsive (working through weekends and late nights) to address my requirements and suggest solutions. He went above & beyond in his recommendation for executing a perfect outdoor event. Anand is a great communicator, trustworthy and brilliant event planner. Every detail was planned and executed to perfection. He took the stress out of event planning for me. BUYER BEWARE. We were having a fine time working with Anand to create our wedding mandap decor…read moreuntil simple verbiage in his liability insurance needed to be changed. This was standard verbiage every other 3rd party vendor we worked with had no problem changing for our venue, but per his own "legal counsel" he could not change the verbiage. This was a contract with a large hotel venue and I'm assuming he's never worked with larger clients and as a result was not prepared to offer the correct liability insurance. He kept saying this is "not standard" when literally every other person we were working with said it was.. He then turned on us and accused me and my husband for not properly preparing him to work with our venue. How are we supposed to know what type of legal documents he is supposed to provide as a vendor? That is quite literally the job of the vendor to figure out, and again this tells me he's never worked with larger clients. In addition, he knew at signing which hotel we would be working with and it is his job as a vendor to ensure he is prepared to handle an event at the venue in the signed contract. He ended up wanting us to sign a form that essentially put all the blame on me and my husband if anything at all went wrong with the mandap structure as well as allow him to cancel at ANY time up until the wedding. Obviously, we could not sign this and found another mandap vendor who could change the verbiage and provide quality services. This back and forth about the insurance verbiage went on for months and Anand was a poor communicator with me, my husband, my wedding planner, and my venue's event coordinator. It was 3 weeks before the wedding when he decided to give us an ultimatum causing me significant stress as a bride to find a new vendor. We dropped him as a vendor due to his lack of service and reliability, not due to the changes in weather as he may claim. I cannot stress enough that this company is not prepared to work on larger venues or provide any type of liability insurances. You might be able to rent a few chairs or decor items from them, but save yourself the stress and hassle, and spend a little money to get a better vendor for your wedding. It should also be noted this is the first review in YEARS he has received which is suspicious. He also claims that we asked for a "custom mandap" when there is nothing truly custom on our mandap. As with every decorator there are different items and ways to set things up, but we did not specifically have him craft anything that he cannot reuse. He has already posted the mandap on his website and will be able to reuse every material that was "custom." Therefore, there was no loss of business, but he attempted to charge us thousands for this work. We adhered to the cancellation policy in the poorly written contract and cancelled our agreement as it is clearly stated and forfeited our deposit.
