I really wanted to love this bakery because the first time we tried it, the cake slices were amazing. The cake was moist, flavorful, and the strawberry filling was delicious, which is why we decided to order a 6 inch birthday cake for $90. Unfortunately the first custom cake was extremely dry. Nobody at the birthday party wanted to eat it, which was disappointing considering the price. We contacted the bakery, and to their credit they offered to remake the cake, which I genuinely appreciated. When we picked up the remake, the cake box had been taped shut and the frosting had smashed onto the top of the box, so I had to scrape frosting off the lid and put it back onto the cake myself. It wasn't a huge deal since it was just for family, but it didn't feel very carefully handled. The bigger issue was that the remake still wasn't made correctly. The original order was white cake with fresh strawberries and strawberry filling/purée in the middle. The remake had fresh strawberries but regular frosting filling instead. The cake itself was much better this time and not dry, but it still wasn't what we ordered. I do appreciate that they tried to fix the mistake, and their individual cake slices and cupcakes are honestly really good. But after receiving one dry cake and then a remake that was made incorrectly and packaged carelessly, I don't think I'd order another special occasion cake from here again. read more

We've ordered a cake before for my granddaughter's birthday before and it was absolutely amazing! They do however like two to three weeks notice for custom cakes. This visit was to take advantage of their cupcake happy hour where every cupcake is one dollar! On Wednesday from 4:30-5 and Saturday 3-5 all cupcakes are only a buck! I purchased a variety but loved the triple chocolate one! They also make a variety of treats like cookies, cake pops, marshmallow sticks etc... I needed a half dozen cupcakes in a pinch and I sent them a message on their website. I saw that they require a week in advance but I believe I only gave them 5 days and they still had awesome communication and got me what I needed right on time. I was in such a pickle, I just asked for "owl" decorated and a mixture of flavors and I am honestly not even sure what all we got. I definitely saw lemon, chocolate and red velvet but I believe the one I at was banana nut bread and it was freakin delicious. As for the owl decoration, they asked me for inspo pics and I had nothing.... I did a quick google search and sent them the first thing I thought was remotely cute... You guys, when I picked them up, they looked EXACTLY like the photo with the one adjustment I asked them to make. It was terrific. They are really busy though, so ring that bell when you come in or you might be waiting a bit like I was, but there is a reason they are busy. I could not be happier with my order and there is no way I could have made this better or even cheaper for myself, so I will be returning often and totally recommend to anyone who needs some custom treats! read more

We got our Daughters quinceañera cake and cupcakes at Frosted flour. I had a great experience since the first very contact. I filled out the inquiry form online and received a response almost immediately. I live in the Bay Area but our event was near Lodi, so all communication was done via e-mail. I was a bit nervous about that at first but I have to say that all e-mails were responded to in a timely fashion. My questions where addressed and they gave me guidance to chose the appropriate cake size for my event. They even called me the day before and e-mailed me a picture of the cake to make sure I was satisfied with the color. The cake and cupcakes were beautiful! I brought in my cake decorations and they helped me place them. We got chocolate cake with Oreo filling. Cupcakes were Strawberry blush, Lodi lemon and Banana cream! Everything was a hit. Service was great very helpful. Cute little shop and it smells so good and lots of treats to purchase. I'll post and review the cake and cupcakes when we get them. We did a 2 tier cake top tier marvel cake with chocolate mousse. Bottom layer is their specialty vanilla delight. A vanilla cake with raspberry preserve, lemon curd and whip cream. Cupcakes 1 dzn pineapple upside down and second dzn Lodi lemon with whip cream instead of buttercream. I don't like buttercream at ALL! So I am hoping that his cake tastes really good as it has buttercream frosting, I was told they can't do whip cream for a cake like this. So we shall see. WHAT A MESS! The bakery said they left the cake out to long while frosting which caused the buttercream to get soft So when taking the cake home to Stockton the cake shifter and top layer fell and 50 in fondant broke. The top layer fell off its own bottom layer. The bottom cake was tiled like it was Alice in wonderland cake. It was a shit show! Paid $182 for this cake and to have it fall and fall apart was so disappointing. They finally offered me $100 store credit. It was a complete mess. The top tier cake fell apart when I tried to move it back onto the cake tray that the bottom of the top was still on. It just crumbled into huge chunks of cake. I had to have a friend that does cakes salvage the bottom cake and push it back so that it didn't completely fall over. The top portion of cake you could clearly see was made at last minute and with NO care! I will go back for cupcakes for my store credit but will NEVER use this bakery again and will let people know to not use them either. This cake was for my Husband's 50th birthday was suppose to be centerpiece of the party table and it was ruined. I appreciated that they finally gave me store credit. But the cake was poorly made and they know it. at least the top tier was made too quickly and with little care. The buttercream you could taste the sugar granules. It was a poorly made cake all there is to it. The cupcakes were good. read more

This is by far the most amazing flavorful and moist cake. This bakery went above and beyond in bringing my request for a replication on my parent's wedding cake design and flavors come to life and matched as close to their original wedding, it was spot on for their 50th wedding anniversary (6/23/2023) we celebrated on 6/24/2023. My parents couldn't be more thrilled when I surprised them with their replicated wedding cake. My dad's best man said eating the cake took him back 50 years to my parent's wedding day and gave him happy tears. Thank you for making this a beautiful special 50th wedding anniversary gift possible and taking my request last minute a few days before their anniversary. I ordered another cake from Frosted Flour Bakery and looking forward to the birthday tasting. While I was there, I picked up a few treats. Difficult decision, because everything is so good. I ended up with two shortbread cookies, two chocolate dipped peanut butter and a slice of Mel's key lime pie. (Mel is retired, but still baking pies.) The pie was just like the pie they make in Florida, where key lime pie originated. The cookies were also outstanding. We went for a drive Saturday and ended up in Lodi and my mom asked me to pick up some cupcakes for Father's Day and we stopped by the Frosted Flour. Due to COVID they only allowed 2 people in at a time so when we arrived, luckily, there was only a family inside so I only had to wait a few minutes. To my surprise after 3 pm cupcakes are only $1 so I made out with a dozen for $12. Yay me!!!! I got 2 each of their raspberry, strawberry, cookies and cream, Lodi lemon, banana cream and carrot cake. The staff was nice, store clean and I would have taken more pics but there was a line outside and I didn't want to take up too much time. We didn't eat the cupcakes until today so they were a day old but still delish. I tried a lemon and raspberry which were both moist and really sweet. I preferred the lemon which had a little tartness which mellowed out the sweetness. My niece had the cookies and cream and from a 4 year old said it was soooooooo good and that she savored it to the last bite. My mom and sister tried the banana cream and really liked it. Dad had the carrot cake and liked it. All in all everyone said they were still moist and the cream/jelly in the centers was a nice touch as well as the frosting didn't harden up. Our only complaint is that the frosting was really really sweet but that is how cupcakes are supposed to be, right?? :-) read more
