The only thing that they probably need to work on is the times that they say they are open because online it'll say they're open at a certain time and then they're not open. Upon arrival on a weekday at around 1 pm I found the bakery to be very empty aside from two things inside of the display case; one individual Spanish bread and one individual ensaymada. Granted, the lady at the counter told me that those are display samples and that there are more in the kitchen for purchase (*phew*). The only other thing that was available at the time was plain pan de sal. I took a bite of one Spanish bread and although it was soft there was hardly any butter filling in it. Pretty much just an oblong pan de sal. The ensaymada was essentially pan de sal with a butter/margarine spread on top that was barely salted/sweetened. I wasn't really a fan of the pan de sal base itself either as it was devoid of any flavor, not even slight milkiness. Very underwhelming but I didn't rate this place 1 star as the lady at the counter was friendly. I mean, I suppose if you're into Spanish bread with more of a bread-y pan de sal edge to it and want Spanish bread that's much less sweet/rich than what it typically is then this bakery might be right up your alley. Otherwise, I recommend just heading to the Starbread in Tracy. read more

It is actually quite difficult now to get Spanish bread ordered ahead of time. They don't accept preorders but you can call the day of and they can give you a time to come pick up. I love the Spanish bread and so does everybody I bring it to. So good fresh & even after it sits. read more

Don't buy empanadas here, go to Ina's Bakeshop & Restaurant (Formerly Pampanga's) at West Ln/Hammer Ln instead. Empanadas here the stuffing is so minimal, it's just a huge hole when you bite into it unlike at Ina's, the filling is stuffed-full, just like Red Ribbon's. read more

Looks can be deceiving!! It's located in a small shopping center and when you first enter the shop it doesn't look operational but you immediately smell that Spanish Bread and know it's open. I came strictly for the Spanish Bread, I only ordered half a dozen as I wasn't trying to be greedy lol. OMG!!! The Spanish Bread is amazing, it's so buttery, soft and decadent. Still good but not the same. The spanish bread is now a cross between pan de sal and spanish bread, dryer bread on on top and the filling is now a thin layer on the very bottom. It's no longer layered with the butter mixture, they no longer melt in your mouth. Call in your order, the accepted cash only. No cheese bread but said I could order and it could be ready in a couple hours, I thought that was accommodating. They are always very nice on the phone and when you go in. The bakery no longer has the shelves with breads, it's now empty and they go in the back to fill your order. read more

I first came here not knowing that this was the best Spanish bread in the area. Now that I know, I make sure to call ahead of time to make sure that they have what I want. It gets busy during holidays because people like to load up on carbs and bring treats into the office or to holiday parties. The bread comes in a white cake box to prevent smashing. I've been here when they only had day old bread which are sold at a discounted price. The day old option is also very very good. I live about an hour away from here and make sure to stock up. Found this place on Yelp! I'm going to have to agree with others and say they have the best Spanish rolls in the area! The store/shelves were completely empty due to covid but that didn't stop them from serving hot delicious goodies! The lady was a huge sweetheart! Sooo sweet and gave excellent customer service! It's probably best to call ahead because it was only 9 am and they were already running low. I only had to wait 10 minutes (fortunately) to get some hot rolls. The bakery was empty when I came in here around 1-2 pm on a Saturday afternoon. There was a couple of ensaymada's and some other pastry in the bakery enclosure but that's about it. I asked if there was any spanish rolls and there was so I picked up 2 dozen. The spanish roll wasn't traditionally rolled and it wasn't warm so that is just something I am nitpicking on. The flavor was on par but it could've had more of the sweetness to it. I was pretty disappointed because the Yelp pictures showed a variety of pastries but upon getting to the bakery, there was pretty much nothing. Maybe it's different in the morning and they have more to choose from but today was a bust. read more
