We had reservations through OpenTable for a Saturday evening and were seated promptly. Our original waiter was very kind, and our drinks came out quickly and were perfect. After we placed our food order, he let us know his shift was ending and introduced us to our new waitress. About 30 minutes later, she came to our table apologizing because our original waiter had never entered our order. She had no idea what we had ordered, so we had to place the entire order again. It was disappointing, but she handled the situation professionally and apologized sincerely. When our food finally arrived, I ordered the New York steak sandwich cooked medium, but it came out rare. I'm usually not one to send food back, but the manager noticed I was looking for our waitress and immediately came over and took care of it. I appreciated his attentiveness and the good customer service. The restaurant itself was clean, the atmosphere was nice, and once our food was corrected, it was absolutely delicious. My only disappointment was that after the order mix-up and the steak needing to be remade, there wasn't any gesture to make up for the inconvenience, even something small like a complimentary dessert. While we enjoyed the food and appreciated the staff's professionalism, the series of service issues made the experience fall short of what we expected.
As usual food is always so good and our server Lily and Luna were attentive, efficient, and friendly. It was my first time in their new location and it was very elegant. However, our pizza was cold. I wish it was served piping hot where the cheese was stringy. Their pizzas are good but i wish they didn't wait to serve our food all at once. The pasta was also warm, not as hot as it should have been. The spumoni ice cream was very delicious. I would have given a 5 star if only our food was served hot.
Our go-to restaurant whenever we're in town. If you're looking for a restaurant that offers exceptional food, excellent value, generous portions, top-notch service, and wonderful ambiance, look no further. This place is hands down the best Italian food in the area. Their pastas are handmade, their pizzas are delicious, the oxtail polenta, and desserts are all so amazing. I recommend making a reservation in advance, as it tends to fill up, especially on weekends. We can't wait to dine here again!
My parents were excited to take me to this place, and a trusted friend backed them up, so expectations were high going in. We made a brunch reservation for 11:30am, though we ended up ordering off the regular menu rather than brunch. That was the first odd note of the afternoon. Before the appetizers, they brought out focaccia with herbed butter, a nice alternative to the standard bread basket. The calamari appetizer with marinara and tartar sauce was fine, nothing memorable. My mom's eggplant parmesan arrived warm but not hot and cooled down quickly. The pizzas, a Funghi and a Margherita, were cooked well in the stone oven and were genuinely the best thing on the table, but they arrived warm and cooled down quickly, the same issue as my mom's eggplant parmesan. With the air conditioning blowing directly overhead, hot food didn't really stand a chance. The service is where things unraveled. When we were first seated, the manager came by and helped with my dad's walker, which was a nice touch. After that it went downhill. When my dad asked for something light, the waiter recommended the carbonara, a dish built on guanciale, grana, egg, and black pepper. That's not light by any definition. It's a basic gap in menu knowledge that does the guest a disservice. The menu also had salmon, ricotta toast, and eggs in purgatory. My dad also asked for red pepper flakes to go with his pizza and they took unusually long to arrive, so he had to flag down a different waiter to get them. The waiter noticed I was drinking my Bloody Mary slowly and offered a different version that actually tasted better. If there's a preferred version, lead with it. When I made eye contact to signal we were ready to pay, he acknowledged it but continued socializing with a coworker before finally coming over and taking my card, as if he was surprised we wanted to pay. When a customer is ready, they're ready. He took my card, asked if we wanted dessert, went to grab the dessert menu, then handed it back. Just hold onto the card. I'm paying with the same card regardless. Handing it back makes no sense. The restaurant itself is beautiful and spacious, with a full bar, outdoor seating, a small store at the entrance, and a vegetable garden out front. It's a great setting. Dinner service might be a different experience, but on this visit the dining room wasn't particularly full, which made it more noticeable that the staff prioritized socializing over the guests in front of them. For the record, the suggested tip on the receipt started at 18%. On the way out, two hostesses stood by and did nothing while my parents, one of whom was on a walker, made their way to the door on their own. Getting the door is common courtesy for the elderly. Pietro's has the ingredients of a great restaurant. The space is beautiful, the stone oven pizza is genuinely good, and the brunch menu has real potential. But a restaurant is only as good as its execution, and right now the service and the food temperatures are letting the kitchen down. They just need to meet it.
So, went to the new location for Pietro's recently. It was our anniversary so we wanted something nice, being that we've been here when they were at their old location, we said why not. So much more parking here, which is great, and the place is huge. I had the chicken Parmesan, my wife had the chicken piccata. We had bread and some pesto gnocchi on the side. The gnocchi was amazing...my chicken was good, plenty good size of portion, and my wife said the chicken piccata was ok, nothing to brag about. The atmosphere was nice, the new location is great. My server was good, but I don't think she knew about alcoholic drinks. I asked for a Top Shelf Ling Island, but for some reason they charged me for a vodka and it didn't taste like a Long Island. We were sat outside, and during dinner a cricket jumped on my leg, me wearing shorts, it scared the heck out of me. I killed it and it sat there on the floor. We told our server and she did apologize, but that really affected our dinner. Every wind or movement toward me made me think it might be another bug, not necessarily the restaurants fault, but still. Will we be back...maybe. For the price, we expect top service, we just didn't feel it this time around.
We went to Pietro's the Saturday before Mother's Day and enjoyed their prix fixe menu. We were all so surprised by how much food was included in the meal, and all of it was delicious! The bread, butter, and cheese served before we ordered were sooo good. The butter was especially creamy and flavorful. For starters, we ordered the arancini and verdura. Both tasted freshly fried and were excellent. Next, we had the panzanella salad, and I would absolutely order it again. The mix of olives, bread, fruit, and vegetables was so fresh and delicious. For pasta, we ordered the amatriciana and gnocchi. The amatriciana had a bit of spice, but it wasn't overwhelming and was really good. The gnocchi was prepared tableside in a cheese wheel, which was really fun. As a cheese lover, I appreciated being able to ask for extra. Our mains were the chicken cacciatore and Rudy's Cut 40 oz prime porterhouse. Both were delicious! We were already incredibly stuffed by the time the mains arrived, which were also served with delicious potatoes and green beans. They weren't listed on the menu, so we were pleasantly surprised to receive them. For dessert, I ordered the gelato pie while the rest of my party ordered the tiramisu. Everyone really enjoyed the tiramisu, and I loved my gelato pie. We were completely stuffed, but somehow still found room for dessert! Luckily, we were able to pack up our leftover pasta, potatoes, green beans, steak, and chicken. We all ended up making another meal out of the leftovers the next day. We were so satisfied and pleasantly surprised by how much food was included that we're really hoping they do something similar for Father's Day so we can come back for more!
This is our 2nd time to Pietro's ... another phenomenal meal. My cheese-stuffed spinach tortellini (ripieni on the specials menu) with very garlicky pomodoro sauce was excellent, as were my husband's fungi pizza and the lemon olive oil cake. The plentiful bread/herb butter and our cocktails also rocked. Whenever we travel to Lodi, Pietro's will be on our to-do list.
We really enjoyed Pietro's. The service is really good - they've got multiple people attending to you which was smooth. Food comes out relatively quickly. Everything was soooo good and fresh. The drinks are amazing. We really enjoyed our experience and are already discussing what we'll order the next time we come. Worth every mile driven for Pietro's.
This review is for their Mother's Day service. Shout out to our servers Raul and Lacy? (I think that's her name, but sorry if I'm wrong). For as busy as the restaurant was, they were very attentive to our party. Always making sure we were okay. Trying to make sure our little one was entertained and fed whenever they passed by. You guys were the best! Thank you for all you do!
Love the new location, we sat in the patio and it was perfect weather and we loved the vibe. We shared the whipped seasonal ricotta, Cesar Salad and Steak and the chefs seasonal asparagus with prosciutto pizza. Our service was wonderful and our waitress was so lovely.
Wow, the best Italian place in Norcal!!! A little bit of a drive out of Sac but it is definitely worth it. The entire restaurant is beautiful from the indoor seating to the outdoor seating. I came during the dinner time 7ish for my cousins birthday and it was the perfect temperature to sit outside. We ordered a wide variety and the food came out fairly quickly. My favorite was definitely the seafood pasta and the pizza (the hot honey was great!). Now the desserts are on a whole new level. The blue berry peach is without a doubt my favorite. Their house-made peach sauce is to die for, haven't stopped thinking about it. Overall a great experience, definitely bringing my other friends to come soon!
Beautiful venue, delicious and freshly prepared dishes. Every plate comes out like perfection. It's certainly known throughout the valley, be sure to make your reservation or come early, it's quite the spot. Perfect for special occasions and large groups.
Service was not good today, I've been coming here for the past two years . The saver handed us an empty bottle of chili flakes and asked for a new one and the saver just put the bottle and didn't even say anything. Additionally the mushroom pizza literally had no mushrooms for $22 dollars that's not worth the price. The mushroom pizza used to have a lot more mushrooms as well.

Lodi Ca.~ What an amazing restaurant! Beautiful decor in both the restaurant and the patio area! The food was just as fabulous as the decor. We started out with the deep fried zucchini. Out of this world. The breading was thin and crispy, and the dipping sauce was yummy. We had the catch of the day. It came with risotto that was perfectly seasoned and cheesy. My friend had the Parpadelle. She said it was prepared perfectly, and al dente just like she likes it. We definitely would return for some more spins around the menu. This place is an institution in Lodi. Highly recommend. read more

TLDR: great food, great service, pricey but worth if for a special event. We have been here several times now for work. Every dish has been delicious. The pizzas were big and tasty with a nice crust. The pasta and sauces were good. The desserts are amazing, especially the butterscotch. It's all good. The service has always been fantastic. They have a good wine selection and other drinks. It has a nice, higher end ambiance, including a heated semi-outdoor patio. It was even busy at 2pm, so consider a reservation to plan to wait. read more

Pietros is a true beauty. The building and decor is so breathtaking. I love all of the glass and the light. It's perfect. We sat at the bar last night and weren't sure if the service would be the same, but the bar staff was fun and quick and listen to what you like. I had a wonderful experience. I definitely over ate and I promise if you give their porchetta a try, you will too! The best polenta I ever had, the crispy skin of the porchetta and the tender meat was a perfect combination. Squeeze that grilled lemon on your arugula and I promise you will be mesmerized! read more

Well this is there new location for the restaurant. It was opened last November . The place is bigger but the parking is just as bad. They share a lot with a hotel to. Hopefully the hotel doesn't start tagging people for parking but hey they have a fantastic restaurant next door. We made reservations and I suggest you do too. It is a bigger place but this place was full. The staff jumped to a lot more waiters and managers. It was pretty crazy when my wife and I went there on a Thursday. We had 5:30 PM reservations. Got there a little late and had a hard time parking. They did seat us right away. Their outside area is now roofed so that is good and roof heaters all above. Very big area. They of course had sectioned dinning areas as before but bigger. The bar is bigger too. It was pretty long as you could see in my picture. After we were seated it took awhile for a server to come by. Thanks to our water server she was on top of it. She saved the day by being so attentive , filling our water and my iced tea before it was empty. Now our server is another story. It said on the receipt that his name was Adam S. We barely saw him at all. Only to take the order and one time later. Service was lacking and the non caring attitude was not good. We will get to that later. I got the risotto which had mushrooms and I think bacon and it was good. I liked it a lot and so did my wife. I let her eat some because of her dish, see below. The wife got the special , salmon over risotto. I didn't say anything while she was ordering but last time it was undercooked. This time it was the same but not as bad. The middle was raw. We wanted to say something but the waiter never came by till she was almost done eating. We informed Adam of the uncooked dish and he did say that he would have them make another one or take it away. But my wife had eaten most of it and said that she would just take it home and cook it as left overs. Not picking up on it that she was being nice Adam just said ok and left to get her a take home box. I figured he would take off the item or do something but he just came back with the bill and box. Nothing said or done. I didn't push it. We didn't get any dessert and paid and left. I was a little disappointed . They have been open for two months now and should have worked all the kinks out. We visited with our out of town family for a bday celebration and ran into a snag. Spoke with Valerie and she worked with our party. We had an amazing time over wonderful food, and great wine. Jean and Matthew were great servers. We haven't had bad service yet. We enjoy that simplicity. Our party shared the calamari, arancini and a gluten free charcuterie board. They do have a gluten free menu and they will accommodate other dietary requests. The entrees that were ordered was the steak salad, beer salad, mushroom risotto, gnocchi, margherita pizza and a small bowl of spaghetti with a few loaves of their fresh bread. Our table was quiet for a while because we were in food heaven. They brought out a small slice of tiramisu for our bday member. Overall the visit was memorable and look forward to a return visit. read more
Okay so we went to Pietro's and honestly... I'd go back. And that's saying a lot because I'm not even a huge Italian food girl. We started with the mussels in tomato broth and I'm not kidding, I could've just sipped that broth all night and been happy. So good. Like why is the broth the star of the show?? Then I ordered the fennel citrus "salad" (I knew what it was), but my husband did not and was very confused when it came out with zero lettuce But it was actually super fresh and bright, and a nice break from all the rich stuff. For the main, we did the porterhouse for two, medium rare, New York style. It was cooked perfectly, but lowkey needed salt. It was kind of bland for how hyped it is. BUT the green beans??? Amazing. Which is wild because I do not like green beans. The potatoes, on the other hand, were just okay, and I usually love potatoes so that was disappointing. Dessert was the chocolate torte and some butterscotch thing. Both were fine. Not bad, not "I'm thinking about this tomorrow" good either. Service was great. We had a reservation but sat at the bar and it was a vibe. Cocktails were okay--honestly I'd stick to classics. The specialty ones were either doing too little or trying way too hard. Overall though, I'm going back. And for me to say that about an Italian place? That's kind of major. Like it's not perfect, but it's definitely worth it. read more

Have been here 3 times since the reopening, and most recently for my wedding anniversary. They were thoughtful enough to comp dessert and drink! Loved that and I always appreciate great customer service. I've only sat in outdoor patio area and the ambience is so nice, not hot or cold in colder or warmer months. Would always select it as an option. The kids pizzas are HUGE so maybe share with your child if that's an option (would be my only suggestion) food is always delicious each time I've gone. No notes. read more

The mussels for appetizer, highly recommend! Tasty sauce and crispy bread. Their ricotta cheese and bread appetizer was ok. The ricotta is sweet. Bread is soft. Amatriciana entree was ok. Hint of spice. Good amount of prawns which I subbed for the guanciale ($10 subcharge). Sauce could have used more flavor. I would not get this again. I've had their eggplant parmigiana before which was good. A little odd it doesn't come with a carb. Only fried eggplant and green beans. The downfall of this restaurant was their service. Their service was very in and out, and I had to ask for many things. I expect a better dining experience for a more upscale restaurant. The parking here is not good. I had to park across the street and walk over. read more
Came in on 1/19/2026 which was a holiday to celebrate my birthday. Really excited to see the new place and wow it was amazing. Finding parking was kind of a pain as they share the lot with a hotel so be prepared to leave a little earlier to find a spot and get to your reservations on time. Again, the space was beautiful every corner was so detailed and beautiful to look at. We were seated in front of the kitchen and that was a treat in itself as we always like to see everyone in movement. I know that Pietro's has new staff as this place is much bigger and I am trying to give them grace but man was service painful. We immediately noticed that every table was full and as a family we decided that we would order our drinks, apps and food as soon as our waitress came by. So we ordered and man did it take 30+ mins to get our drinks, once received we were told that our waitress was going on lunch and someone else would take care of us in the mean time. He was great and we even had to tell him that our waitress never brought us bread and he was even surprised. Our food came 70 mins later and even at that some of our items were forgotten. Our waitress also came back over an hour later and took our order for dessert. We also noticed the service difference from our table to the one next to us and it was giving us all second hand embarrassment that we felt she was playing favorites. After waiting six months to try this highly recommended restaurant, I finally made it there multiple times, first two times they had over an hour wait. I never made reservations because it was a last minute thing, and I wasn't in a rush. The 3rd time I settled for takeout on Mother's Day, but they weren't even taking orders because they were so packed. All of this made me want to try this food even more. The following day I ordered take out, chicken and shrimp fettuccine Alfredo, they call it a different name, but that's basically what it is. All that anticipation to be highly disappointed, I literally requested my money back from my friend who's been recommending this for the last 6 months. The presentation was lacking, the chicken looked boiled thrown at the bottom with noddles on top and a couple of boiled shrimp tossed haphazardly over the noodles. Here's the crazy part I know three people who speaks very highly of this restaurant and when I showed them this picture of my food they were so confused, which pissed me off more, because they said their chicken is beating cut theirs parsley thrown over their food, I'm just overall confused on what happened to my food. Fantastic food, vibes and service here at Pietro's! Prior to tying the knot, we needed to look for a place to host our rehearsal dinner and stumbled upon Pietro's. The place was packed but we planned ahead by making a reservation to confirm if we liked the food or not. Coming from the Bay Area with high standards (lol!), this place is a solid choice for Italian food! We decided to host our rehearsal dinner with 30 people and rented out the Wine Room to have a private space for our family and friends! It was an AMAZING experience. I worked with Nicholle Hawkins and she really made the experience planning the rehearsal so seamless. There is a F&B minimum depending on the locations you want to rent out. But that just means more food and variety for you and your guests to try! Just to name some of the foods we tried... Woodfired pizza Barbabietola Salad Rigatoni Amatriciana Catch of the day Pork Milanese Budino Everyone was soooo full by the end and we had so many delicious leftovers. We all opted in for the open bar at top shelf which is why we were too full to finish a lot of the food hahaha. So this was our first time here and we came for our anniversary and you will definitely want a reservation for this place, it gets BUSY. Once we arrived the host gave us a happy anniversary card which was a nice touch and we were brought to a booth/table which was perfect setting for the night and we proceeded to order a lot of food, drinks, and the complimentary bread. Please make sure you make reservations ahead of time because it was packed on a weekday. Valet was so packed that we couldn't even do that. Parking is very limited. I had a park at the hotel parking. Service was great. We had a few people attend our table and check on us. They should have larger water cups because I felt like I kept asking for water. Food came out promptly after ordering. Everything was pretty good. They didn't have fish that night which was a bummer. I highly recommend the fried chicken and the pasta. Pizza was pretty good. It's a thin crust and the sauce is great. The steak was seasoned right but must have it medium so it's not dry. I really like what they did to this place. It's nicely decorated. The architecture was nice with a different feel in each section. They have an outdoor covered patio with a water fountain, they have an area with a fireplace, a section for the bar area, and a section near the kitchen. For dessert, I had the chocolate tortilla which was like a moose pie. I really enjoyed it. The poor to the glass of wine I ordered was very small, which was a bit disappointing. We visited the new location for the first time on a Monday at 6pm. We made reservations in advance for a group of 6 for a birthday dinner. Let's start with parking. The old Pietro's had horrible parking and so does the new location. We drove around 3 times looking for a space, and there were none available. We finally decided to park across the street at Pet Smart, which wasn't the best street to walk across at night. The staff were very nice, especially our server. The new location is a lot larger, but it is very very noisy in the dining area! I was told the courtyard is much quieter, but we couldn't get reservations in that area. As usual, the bread and garlic butter were delicious. I ordered the special, which was salmon with risotto. My dinner was delicious, very lemony sauce which I love and cooked perfectly. My husband ordered the chicken Parmesan with pasta and vegetables, he hated it! My husband isn't a picky eater, but for him to leave more than half of an entree I know he doesn't like it. He said the chicken tasted like it was cheap frozen chicken and was also dry. He did eat the spaghetti and green beans. Two people in our group ordered pizza, they were a really good size, two people can definitely share one pizza. The mussels were VERY small. Made reservations for my brothers bday and it was such a beautiful dinner. The building is so beautiful and they even have an outdoor garden full of herbs. The inside did not look like what I expected it was better than I imagined. Pietros is located near the costco & they even offer valet parking. Upon walking in it was decorated so beautiful for Christmas & the restaurant was so clean and pristine. From the booth colors to the floor tiles the decor def popped. Christmas music was playing which was such a vibe. The bar looked very nice and we sat in the main dining room by the kitchen & pizza oven. Any place I eat that has a pizza oven I always opt in for a pizza! We started with the house salad, bruschetta & minestrone soup. My mom and bro loved the bruschetta it was my brother's first time ever having it and we cleared the whole plate, super refreshing. My mother ordered the lasagne which is her favorite dish here and she said she loved the pizza. My brother ordered the market cut steak with big shrimp prawns. He let me try both and the steak melted in my mouth & the shrimp had so much flavor it was really good. From looking at yelp Photos prior to me coming I am so glad I went with the Ripieni. The color screams Christmas & it was def comfort food because I was so warm and stuffed after. The pizza had the perfect crust and under carriage def a must try! I wanted to have a fancy dinner with my bestie since it's her birthday. I surprised her by bringing her here. The place looks amazing. It looks newer than before. This is my 3rd time here and the location changed so much. More contemporary style of interior but with a hint of Italian with wine cellar and a big oven brick on the wall. Separated in the bread/pasta making department on the side. While chefs are cooking with each order for the customers. Every staff here are helpful and attentive. Gave recommendation which food is good and our server made my besties custom made pasta with pesto sauce and what ever ingredients she told them to put. It's not even on the menu. Is there a 10 star, 20 star, 100 star option? I have to confess that this is our favorite restaurant! We finally ventured out to take a look at their new space and enjoyed some excellent comfort food. We ordered our favorites and snuggled into one of the new booths. We ooohed and aaahed over all of the beautiful touches in the extravagant space. Dakota took excellent care of us! Everything just came together beautifully as it does on every visit we've ever had to Pietro's. Of course we'll be back. You'll never get rid of us. We can't wait for the new space to open! read more

Yes, they have a very good pesto dish! Everything they make is so delicious! I highly recommend. We go every other week at least, and they never disappoint.
