The topping was reminiscent of the classic strawberry shortcake popsicle from childhood. It was served chilled and I let it come to room temperature before eating. Had the opportunity to try Frosted Frenzy when they participated in the 2019 Phoenix Summit Challenge! I ordered the wedding cake cupcake--an almond cupcake with almond buttercream and edible pearls/glitter on top. Super cute, and classy too boot! As far as the taste goes, the buttercream was a little sweet for my taste, but very smooth and light, with a great almond flavor. We went to Food truck Fridays today and picked up a dozen cupcakes. Six of them Were fun cupcakes decorated like toilet paper and poo,LOL which in these Quarantine corona times was perfect. I got the key lime and it's my party cupcakes. The it's my party had decent flavor, but the cake was rather dense. My wife liked the key lime, but thought the frosting was heavy on the sugar. The orange blossom cupcake made the minimalist salad I ate BEFORE walking to the food truck so absolutely worth it. Had the opportunity to try cupcakes from the Frosted Frenzy tonight at the Vistancia Monthly Food Truck night and they were amazing!! We opted to get the 6 pack of all the available flavors so we could try them all. They were ALL amazing. My girls devoured the red velvet and the strawberry lemonade (almost before I got a chance to try them). My husband and I shared the Wedding Cake and it totally took us back in time to our wedding. It was amazing. The other flavors, salted caramel, cookies and cream and peanut butter were great also. Basically there was a flavor for everyone in the sample pack. Every single one was not only beautiful looking but also delicious. The ladies were very nice and friendly and you can tell they take great pride in their products. I will definitely be buying from them again if I see their truck. If you see them, buy a cupcake or two. These cupcakes rival the ones I have tried at world famous cupcake shops in Washington DC. I hate giving bad reviews to small businesses, let alone a food truck, but I was so disappointed in the cupcake I recently purchased, that I had to post this so others wouldn't be disappointed too. I asked for a vanilla cupcake, as I'm a purist, and they recommended the It's My Party cupcake, saying that was their vanilla. It looked very pretty, tho I am not a fan of sprinkles and crunchy bits on my frosting, but I went with it, because vanilla is my favorite. I was very surprised when I took my first bite to find more sprinkles inside, which I personally don't like, but worst of all, it was loaded with almond extract (or something off putting). I can't tell you my disappointment when I tasted that. Not only was I expecting vanilla, but I absolutely despise almond extract. How can you call a vanilla cupcake vanilla, when it's loaded with another flavor? Not only that, but if it was indeed almond, and you didn't mention it, what if I had a nut allergy?!! Huge let down after looking so forward to a real vanilla cupcake. If you're ordering from this company, I suggest checking their ingredient list first.
