Unacceptable behavior of the staff!!!!! Very rude, and told customers to come another time, if they wanted ice cream with toppings. I walked in, the toppings were there, by the time I got ice cream, toppings were put away. I said I don't want ice cream, the apparently store manager, said if I don't pay, for the ice-cream I didn't want, they will call the police who will send me a bill!! Hahaha no warning, no signs they put toppings away at 8:30pm. I was told to come another time and the owners apparently don't care about business and making more money, from customers. pretty good fro-yo. i tried the cake batter, it was rich and super sweet. i prefer more tart fro-yos, and found that these yogurts mimicked ice cream super closely. you can pour your own yogurt and the only cups offered are gigantic. i went in 30 minutes before closing and they had already put away all of the fresh toppings, but still had the dry toppings (nuts, candy, cereal) available, so just be aware of this if you go near closing time. the yogurt was on the pricier side for fro-yo. inside there's tons of seating and the place is pretty clean. frozen falls is a solid options for a sweet treat in the local area. read more

Used to Love It -Not Anymore Our family used to enjoy Frozen Falls, but we won't be back. My 13 year old autistic son accidentally chose the wrong flavor, and we were told we had to pay for it anyway - no flexibility or understanding. None. I was told to take the coffee flavored one home. No thanks. We don't want it. The two flavors were directly next to each other, caramel coffee and caramel salted pretzel. Easy mistake. On a past visit, he was reprimanded for tasting a SINGLE popping boba from his froyo while in line. The staff are overly strict, and the atmosphere feels more stressful than fun. The staff watches your every move. Even my 8-year-old felt uncomfortable adding toppings. Disappointing service for a place that should be family-friendly. Not inclusive, felt judged. Frozen Falls is my go-to froyo spot in the Basking Ridge area. As huge lover of froyo, I've scoped out my fair share of self-serve shops over the years. I gotta say, Frozen Falls ranks pretty highly among all of them and here's the reasons why... 1) So so sooo many toppings to choose from. Their selection is like nothing I've ever seen before. They literally have every last topping you could ever hope for. From fruits, to candy, to cereal, to chocolate covered almonds (say whaaaaat?!), they really do have it all. Try not to get overwhelmed because at Frozen Falls your wish really is their command. 2) Testers. In my opinion, every self serve froyo shop NEEDS to allow for people to test flavors. Frozen Falls does just that. You will have to ask an associate for tester cups (they'll do it for you), but my experience has always been that staff is super patient and willing to let you try as many flavors as you'd like. 3) Open late for when you have those 10pm froyo cravings. I absolutely love that they're open til 11pm on Fridays! 4) Clean, bright, and open floor plan. Staff kept the tables in tip top shape and the froyo dispensers were clean too. 5) Free and accessible water. These are the small details that Frozen Falls certainly hasn't overlooked. I can usually chug back a water after eating all the sweets so its nice that they keep a water dispenser right at your finger tips. 6) Pay by the weight so feel free to get as little (or as much) as you want! read more

This is hands down my favorite frozen yogurt shop in the area. We were so sad when the Branchburg location closed a few years back, but we drive to Basking Ridge whenever we want froyo. The flavors are consistently good and creamy and love that it's a local business. The new lemon flavor is out of this world. Usually a great place as we go there at least once a week, but not today. The hours listed on the door say open until 11:00pm on Friday and Saturday. We got there at 10:30 and when we went inside all of the fresh and popular toppings were already put away and the only thing available for the fro yo was some candy and cereal on wall and counter dispensers. It probably would not have bothered me so much if it were a couple of minutes before 11, but half hour before?? There were three girls behind the counter all doing their texting except for one minute when one girl came out to sweep right by the yogurt dispensers where we were to give us the hint and let us know that they were waiting to close. I understand it's summer and you want to get out of work as quickly as possible to go and do your thing, but with three girls there I figure how long can it take for three of them to cover up the toppings, wipe down a few tables and counters and sweep the floor. Probably not that long when you have three girls working together so I don't understand why they felt they should close down a half hour early on a summer Friday night. If it were winter no big deal but in the summer when your late nights are Friday and Saturday I think you should stay open as noted and if you're open then you should have all the toppings available for the yogurt which is why people go there in the first place. I have always had pleasant experiences at Frozen Falls. The young girls that work there have always been friendly and helpful. I just brought my daughter and her friend there and they had put all the toppings away before we arrived at 9:20. They close at 10:00. The young girl at the register had an attitude with my daughter and grabbed the money out of my hand in an aggressive manner. Moving from NYC, I was stunned to find just a great FroYo spot. I am probably slightly addicted to 16Handles, and suburban smaller chains, for some reason, just aren't as good. However, this place was the bomb! The girl that worked there was really nice and explained how FF was different than other self serve I may have been to. I love how big the containers are! This place just opened up in the shopping complex right by where I live. It is another make your own frozen yogurt place - it seems like these type of stores are popping up everywhere. It's a good concept, so I can see why people like it. As for this actual store, it just opened up and the employees were incredibly friendly and helpful. They were urging everyone to sample and bringing the little sample cups around. I decided to grab some strawberry frozen yogurt and it was pretty good. I liked it. I decided to skip the toppings but there were a lot to choose from. Once you finish making your yogurt and deciding on toppings, you take your cup/bowl to the counter and you pay by weight. I could be wrong, but I think it is right around $6.99 or so/pound. I will actually ask next time and update my review if I am off. Once you pay, they give you your spoon so you can start in on your fro-yo. They also hand out biodegradable spoons which I always appreciate. One thing I didn't understand is that it seemed like all of the bowls were the same size and big - just different colors. This could totally be a way for people to just get more fro-yo, but I don't like eating a huge bowl so I thought that was a bit of a waste. There wasn't much for decor yet in the store, but I am sure that will change since they just opened. Overall, I was pretty impressed. Nice, friendly employees and pretty good frozen yogurt - it should be a winning combination. I am pretty sure my wife and I found another local spot that we will frequent. read more
