A new ice cream parlor that opened in late June 2023, my wife and I wanted an ice cream sundae for dinner, yea one of those days. We met the owner and he and his staff were incredibly friendly and offering suggestions for our choice. I opted for a 3 scoop Banana Split and my wife for the 2 scoop sundae. Both were perfectly prepared and the taste, yummy yummy good. We will be back and I suggest to give this ice cream Parlor a visit that you won't regret. See you all there!

Moose tracks. I placed ice cream in cup and ate cone at end

The Stirling Fountain is a nice clean establishment. Bustling with adults and kids. My husband and I stopped in and ordered a scoop of Chocolate Peanut Butter ripple and small cone of moose tracks. The flavor of the peanut butter ripple was good. I did not particularly enjoy moose tracks because the overall base of the ice cream was bland. The peanut butter cups added some flavor. A kids cup or cone is not available here. I like kids cup because it is better for a small adult. That may be a nice addition so that one can sample more flavors at each visit.

Frozen Falls is my go-to froyo spot in the Basking Ridge area. As huge lover of froyo, I've scoped…read moreout my fair share of self-serve shops over the years. I gotta say, Frozen Falls ranks pretty highly among all of them and here's the reasons why... 1) So so sooo many toppings to choose from. Their selection is like nothing I've ever seen before. They literally have every last topping you could ever hope for. From fruits, to candy, to cereal, to chocolate covered almonds (say whaaaaat?!), they really do have it all. Try not to get overwhelmed because at Frozen Falls your wish really is their command. 2) Testers. In my opinion, every self serve froyo shop NEEDS to allow for people to test flavors. Frozen Falls does just that. You will have to ask an associate for tester cups (they'll do it for you), but my experience has always been that staff is super patient and willing to let you try as many flavors as you'd like. 3) Open late for when you have those 10pm froyo cravings. I absolutely love that they're open til 11pm on Fridays! 4) Clean, bright, and open floor plan. Staff kept the tables in tip top shape and the froyo dispensers were clean too. 5) Free and accessible water. These are the small details that Frozen Falls certainly hasn't overlooked. I can usually chug back a water after eating all the sweets so its nice that they keep a water dispenser right at your finger tips. 6) Pay by the weight so feel free to get as little (or as much) as you want!

Plenty of parking in street if needed. Inside is dark and inviting and they have a cute outdoor dining space as well. They start out by serving fresh Foccacia with seasoned olive oil. For mains our friends both ordered the hanger steak, my wife had the salmon, and I ordered their chicken special ( a boneless breast wrapped in pancetta). Everything was not only delicious but plentiful. Owner checked on us several times during our meals. Highly recommend trying this establishment.

Cute interior with Christmas decorations already making things festive. We were greeted and seated near the cozy fireplace. Started with the harvest salad, conveniently split in the kitchen. Delicious. Entrees were pappardelle ragu and their seared tuna. Both were fresh and flavorful. We finished the evening with their house made tiramisu. Yum. Will be back as service was attentive and friendly, food was great and loved the decor!

There is also a small bar where you can order drinks and bring them back to your seat. Our group had a private tent area reserved, and the event was well organized. Buffet-style food had been arranged before our arrival, and we were able to bring in decorations, a birthday cake, and other party favors without any issues. The outdoor bar stops serving around 9:00 p.m., but we were able to move to a covered area near to the hotel restaurant and bar, which was equipped with heat lamps and provided a comfortable place to continue the evening. Service throughout the event was quick and friendly. I would definitely recommend The Smokehouse for group gatherings, birthday parties, or a casual day out. There is plenty of space, the prices are reasonable, and the staff does a great job accommodating larger groups. Also, it's conveniently located not far from the train station.

Nachos are super weird with a strange cheese and baked beans. Brisket was tough. Wings are small. All of it is extremely expensive for what you get and there's no service, you have to stand in line and then pick up when the buzzer calls you. Love live music and the band was great, but it was so loud I had to put earplugs in. My group couldn't talk to each other. Sad about this experience but I really hope they see this review and make some adjustments.
