Second, the acai left much to be desired. It was an icy texture and quite bland. I also wish they gave more. The granola was a bit too hard and dry for my liking. Overall, the ratio of acai to toppings was off (I felt like I was eating a granola bowl with a side of acai). The fruit was good, I got strawberries blueberries and dragonfruit and they all tasted fresh. My friend got mango, which looked dry, rubbery, and unripe, so I guess it's pretty hit or miss. On to the worst part (and my mistake) - I was intrigued by the pistachio butter, expecting it to have a nutty taste similar to almond butter. What I received was a thick, green paste almost the consistency of frosting. It was cloyingly sweet and so artificial tasting that it rendered my bowl inedible. However, what really disappointed me was the staff. The two male employees were unnecessarily rude to my friend over a simple situation. I briefly left my order on the front counter while I fixed my wallet and put it in my bag. No one else was in line besides us, and I fully intended to grab my order right away. I also trusted my friend to keep an eye on it. I'm not sure why the staff reacted the way they did, but their attitude definitely ruined the experience for both me and my friend. The second time I went was on a Monday morning after 12am, it was busy with to go orders. More attention was paid to those orders than the in person customers. The fruit was fresh as before but served in a smaller container for the same price. I questioned it but was disappointed with the answer. There were two guys and the same woman working. One of the guys sneezed in his hand and didn't clean it BUT when he made the bowls he wore gloves. The prices are very reasonable and the topping of mango cream and pistachios really add that extra layer of delicious to the fruit bowl! I would've given 5 stars but that bowl difference and cough didn't sit well with me. The location shares space with a pizza/wings business also. The pizza was delicious!
