They consistently carry some of the best-quality produce currently available from San Diego and the surrounding areas, thoughtfully curated with real care. Misses are rare, and when something isn't right, they always make it right. What really sets this place apart is the knowledgeable team. They can tell you not just what something is, but where it's from, why it's special, and even how best to prepare it if it's new to you. They know which watermelon varietals are sweetest (and why), which tomatoes are best for different uses, and how to guide you toward the best choice of the day. We also appreciate the simplicity of the space. It's clear the focus is on quality produce rather than unnecessary overhead or décor that doesn't add to flavor or nutrition. We come in knowing our weekly staples, and we always look forward to discovering a surprise treat or seasonal treasure to add to the basket. We recently lived in Spain for a year and deeply miss the fruterías found on every corner, places that genuinely support daily health and well-being. In the U.S., truly good produce can be harder to find, with so much emphasis on mass production and appearance over flavor and nutrition. The Fruit Stand comes as close as we've found to that European produce experience. We're grateful this place exists and grateful for the care they put into what they offer. Thank you for being here--and we'll see you next week.

How will I force myself to eat grocery store berries ever again??? It's a serious question. I saw they had some salsas and honey and other local items which is great. They do accept card payment and have outside bins set up with different selections too. Friendly staff and quick to help you. I'll be back.

I drive frequently to Phoenix to see family from California and this time on my return I said I'm definitely stopping. If you are exiting the 10 freeway at Morongo Valley Road which I think is the exit going west, that traffic circle to get to all the restaurants, etc. including Hadley's is a little treacherous so be patient Once you turn right, you can just pull right into their parking lot. It's a beautiful store that also has a café/ice cream. You will go in to get your shake and enter the ice cream shake line. It's stanchion off. There's a separate café line for people that I want to order food I ordered a large date shake. It doesn't come with whipped cream and it's already premade fresh out of a machine. The male order to take her/manager was super friendly and very thankful I stopped by after I mentioned I hadn't been here in a while. It's very genuine. But as I was walking away from the counter with my seven dollar shake, which was well worth it I heard somebody order a chocolate date shake. I didn't even know that was an option. I'm not even sure I saw it on the menu, but I think I would try that next time. The date shake was creamy and sweet. You can definitely taste and see the dates inside the mix. And then went into the store and picked up some chocolate covered dates as well as some fresh organic lines. I actually found the price is overall very reasonable especially for an off-road/touristy type of a place. Plenty of parking out front. The cashiers are super friendly. The location was very clean. I honestly would stop on the way back. They had tons of gifts, fresh fruits, and vegetables, snacks water sandwiches probably everything that you would want on a roadside visit. And it's easy access back onto the 10 W.

Hadley's is esteemed in the Inland Empire for its regular and vegan date shakes. I bought a couple of vegan shakes for my Mom and I during this trip. I swear the quality of the vegan shakes are just as good or better than the traditional shakes. I'm never disappointed! Once we got our shakes we took a trip around the grocery store side of the property. The store is farmer-chic with a modern look. Popcorn is available for sale on the way out, perfect for a rainy day. There's all sorts of groceries here, meats, specialty bakery items, wine, etc. if you're looking for souvenirs, they have them too! Service is always solid, the staff are professional and quick. I've never had an issue here. Hadley's gets a massive recommendation from me!

That was a while back so when we were back in town and it fell on the day, it was a given to check it out. But unfortunately the first time that we were going, they had to shut it down to the crazy wind that was happening. Now, the past month, I've been at least twice already. It's held downtown along Palm Canyon Drive for a couple of blocks. Streets are closed for vendors and visitors. Thursday evening from 6-10 pm and 7-10 during the summer months. Village fest, featuring arts, crafts, food, entertainment and shopping. Parking available in the covered parking structure, outdoor parking lot or street parking. Mainly where you would park if your walking around downtown minus Palm Canyon as it's blocked off. Loads of vendors both with retails as well as small businesses are there showcasing the goods. You have loads of arts and crafts, jewelry, apparel, gifts, artwork both sculptures and prints. Baked goods, amazing pastries, cookies and bread. Walking along the strip, at both ends tends to be where the food trucks are. One end usually just have the ice cream truck and another dessert truck. While the other will have all your favorite. Bbq, Mexican food, Filipino food, and so on. Actually quite a nice selection of food. They have some seating set up but majority tends to just either stands or sit along the curb. It does get pretty busy with people checking out the vendors. It's also nice that the stores along the strip stay open as well. Crowds are alway nice and mellow as everyone is there for the same thing. Loads of family and couples out and about. The vendors are alway so sweet. Everything displays are quite fun. Some things are a bit on the higher priced side but still nice to check out. Theres always live entertainment in the middle keeping the mood lively. We like to have dinner and then walk around to check things out and pick up a couple of baked goods for home. A fun Thursday night out and about in town.
