My daughter ordered a Buffalo Chicken Wrap with Sun Chips. My daughter chose the Strawberry-Banana (Jetty Punch). Awful lunch. Just awful wraps. The worst part was the artificial tasting chicken. The cheap chicken was so terrible tasting that we both pulled it out of our wraps. It had the soy based flavor of cheap school burgers and an odd texture. The seasonings in the wraps were so mild that there was no way of telling it was a Thai or a Buffalo wrap. Neither one of us could finish even half of it. The jalapeño corn had not a hint of spice or jalapeño and was bland. Now to the smoothie. How can they call what they serve a smoothie and how do they rate so highly? Besides smoothies, they have sandwiches, salads and serve breakfast all day. The calories are listed next to the meal for those who are health cautious. With every meal you can get a smoothie for additional $3.50 (they only have one size, large). My fave is their flatbreads! I am absolutely obsessed with the Chipotle Chicken Flatbread which has the chipotle mayo, lettuce, bacon, sliced grilled chicken breast with a side of the Kale apple slaw (you can choose a side between that and chips). My Mr. was with me and he got the Tropical Chicken Salad Sandwich with Kale apple slaw as well. We split the Avocolada for our smoothie. The food is always good. Very consistent! Both things I ordered were good but I was still hungry after my flatbread. For a $10 lunch I wanted to be full. I've seen other colleagues come back to work with salads from tropical smoothie so I think I will get a salad or sandwich next time. I like this place. Lots of options! I've tried the Korean BBQ taco and Cilantro fish taco - Both were spicier than I expected but I like heat so that was a pleasant surprise for me. I'm not a huge fan of the Cranberry pecan chicken sandwich. When I ordered it there wasn't enough chicken salad near the edges so you're just eating bread. But the Moho mojo club sandwich was very delicious, great option. I got a Fruit medley with my to-go order and it made everything sticky because the fruit syrup was on the outside of the container and got everywhere. Small detail but not cool. Lastly, I've tried the Acai berry boost smoothie. Tasted good, can't complain. I'm not sure if everything on the menu fits with the tropical theme of the restaurant but I don't really mind. I was just driving by and found this place, looks like it had just opened! For lunch, I got jalapeño chicken and Korean BBQ steak tacos and the Acai berry boost smoothie. Everything came out really fast, less than 10 min. The tacos were okay, definitely needed a little sauce to boost the flavor. I asked and got some hot sauce, it was pretty good. Wow I honestly don't even know where to start. This is by far my favorite place to eat at. If you are looking for a great lunch or just something different to eat, this is the place. One of a kind food and smoothies. The flavor choices in any of the menu items are incredibly well picked. The owner is the nicest person you will meet. I go out of my way to come and eat here as I travel around the area. If I am anywhere within an hour distance I will always make the drive. Excellent portions and well worth your money. I do not eat fruit with any regularity (can go years without apples, bananas, etc., don't even eat berries) but wanted to try something light and on the healthier side so hit this place up with a buddy for lunch. I have seen other health food places that want to charge an arm and a leg for a smoothie, so was pleased to grab a lean machine (strawberry and banana with fat burner and energizer) for under 6 bucks. I gave 1 star for the service. Went there April 5th at 6:00p and the young lady there didn't bother to greet me, even when taking my order she walked over the the register and just looked at me. She didn't have to greet me but at the LEAST just say SOMETHING, a hi would've sufficed. The 1st time I went she was busy with another customer so I was just looking up at the menu waiting for her to finish so I did not pay attention that she was ready waiting on me until another customer came in and said "are you ordering?" So I looked and the worker is just standing there looking at me! SO WEIRD!!! They're happy go lucky with the other customers as I'm walking in so be that way with everyone! Fresh & Fruity is the best way to describe this restaurant. I met a friend after work for smoothies instead of coffee, the joys of getting old & not wanting to drink caffeine after 5. We didn't really know what to expect but saw that it had good reviews on Yelp & decided to give it a try. I would have given them 5 stars but I had to dock them for the initial slow service, though they made up for it. There were several people in front of us & we waited patiently as they started taking care of their orders. There were 2 employees and I guess only 1 of them was allowed to work the register b/c while 1 kind of cleaned up the smoothie area, the other was preparing sandwiches. We just kind of stood there waiting at the register for over 5 minutes trying to make eye contact with the employee who wasn't actively making an order. However, once the employee who did work the register was able to take our order it was smooth sailing & fast service on our food. The quality of the smoothies was great. It actually tasted like real fruit & not sugar with a little added fruit that you get at other places. Plus, it comes in a huge cup. I wasn't expecting so much for under $5. It might seem weird to talk about the quality of the cup it came in but I must share that it was also great. The styrofoam cup kept it well insulated & the cup didn't sweat with condensation which was a huge plus. I got the Mango Magic & would definitely get it again. As far as food, I got a 1/2 club sandwich with a full smoothie & I was pretty stuffed. The sandwich was good and nearly presented on a little platter. My friend got the 1/2 Caesar salad & she was very happy with it as well. Overall, I had a pleasant experience and would definitely go back for lunch or light dinner. The atmosphere was nice, not too loud or quiet that you feel you can't have a good conversation without intruding on someone meal. It was time for refreshment during my delightful morning walk. The options on Reed Hartman Highway and Cornell were Starbucks and Tropical Smoothie Cafe. I picked TSC. The big poster on the window did what it was supposed to do. I nearly licked the red right off of the plastic graphic advertising the featured Watermelon Mojito Smoothie. I placed my order like I had just dragged myself across the Sahara Desert. I watched every move of the lovely attendant who prepared my fruity delight. After whipping up my selection she looked at it and paused for a moment. Clearly she had forgotten how large the Sahara in my head had become. "I'd like to redo it." She told me "It doesn't look right", she added. Well it looked GREAT to me, but I was mighty impressed with her ambition so I nodded my approval. The second time was the charm. I quickly paid and grabbed it before she saw further room for improvement. There were, after all, other customers awaiting their turn. I simultaneously stabbed the straw into the insertion point and secured my lips to the open end. It was well worth the wait! Rejuvenated, I dashed out to complete my journey.
