I recently made an online order for pick up, I mistakenly scheduled pick up for this location, instead of a different location. After awhile of sitting at my marked pick up spot, I then realized I am at completely wrong location due to a notification saying it was "Picked Up". I franticly called Frys & delt with their debilitating Ai system, which finally brought me to Mobile pick up. I explained the situation, and they were so helpful. I spoke to a gentleman who reassured me that he'll get it taken care of, and he was true to his word. I think his name was Colin? (Blonde hair, kinda on the longer side). Thank you sir!!! You were out to my car within 10 minutes max with a brand new order. You saved my sanity.. Idk what I'd do without my Bloom Energy drinks, haha! read more

This store has the most cranky, bossy and rude cashiers. Not all of them but most definitely several of them. If they're not rude they just don't speak at all. The few that are nice are very sweet with very good customer service. Carrie is one that was directly very rude to me. I've witnessed her act very rude to an elderly women. And as that women was finished and walked off Carrie said.. "she's such a pain." Another cashier told someone in her lane as she's pointing, "Nope!! Nope!!! Get that water and that soda off my belt. I DON'T WANT ANYTHING HEAVY ON MY BELT!!" Some individuals need some counseling and retraining. Or there needs to be a shift in management. read more

Absolutely poor service at the Deli Counter. The staff are slow and inattentive when you're standing at the counter. Today only one person was at the counter being helped upon my arrival. I waited 10 minutes then left. What's amazing is two other people were messing around with stuff behind the counter and didn't even bother trying to help me. Update 6/23/24: I think all of the employees have taken a pact to avoid eye contact with the customers. I passed numerous staff and they make a point to not look at you, whether it's the folks rolling items along for stocking or the guy at the self-checkout area. Near the island where they have the chicken wings, something has either died underneath or is alive, well and growing. In either case, the putrid odor makes it tough to breathe and it certainly isn't an area where you want to stand and select food items. I recently saw "NA" there (see below), so hopefully she has received more C/S training but given how the staff behaves both inside, outside, and all around the store, I sincerely doubt it. This is the store closest to home so sometimes I go there, though I much prefer another Fry's where I'll stop on my commute home. The folks at that Fry's could teach the Combs Rd. staff some lessons, but in order to learn you have to want to learn, so I'm sure that would be an exercise in futility. Way to go, Fry's Combs! (sarcastic emoji here) From over one year ago: I've stayed away from this store for over a year at a time when I'd had enough of stale foods requiring a second trip to return, and as always the nasty odors coming from the meat/fish area. The latest experience was in the Customer "Service" department, where an employee continued chatting with someone who was obviously an acquaintance. I was the only person in line, and the employee would make eye contact with me, then continue talking with her friend, repeat. When she finally decided to end her personal conversation and motion me forward she was rather abrupt, but at that point I really didn't expect much professionalism. I can only describe her as very short, and only her lower teeth are visible when she talks (I had ample opportunity to notice this when she was chatting with her friend). Her name tag was half covered by her collar, and the only visible letters were "NA" in big caps. If any managerial staff reads this, "NA" needs some customer service training or else needs to be placed in a different role altogether. This recent encounter prompted me to start shopping elsewhere again, so thanks to "NA" I will probably stay away for another year. read more

I placed a pick up order on the app at 1AM for a 10-11AM pick up that morning. I received a notification that there are running behind and would message when it's ready. Last time this happened, I waited an hour past my pick up window but this is getting to be a waist of my time, not saving time. The pick up staff informed me that they block off time of over 1000 items are selected or if a certain threshold of orders are made but that they do not pick orders based on when you order them (like first come first served at a restaurant). So unless your placing an order at the earliest pick up time, you are likely to wait past your scheduled time because they only view orders in each time slot, 8-9, 9-10 etc. The whole purpose of using this service is to save time. In my opinion, you would be better off paying the minimum fee to Uber and having Safeway delivered in under an hour. read more

While visiting we needed to stop in and find a floral arrangement for someone's birthday. The parking lot was quite busy with weekend shoppers but I was able to locate a spot close to the entrance for my senior passengers. I noticed as I got out of my car a lot of trash on the street, which was scattered all the way to the front of the store. Displayed at the front of the store you will find, all sizes of pottery planters, scented holiday pine cones and outdoor furniture. Everything were placed nicely and out of the way. Once inside we headed directly to the floral area. Although along the way in the aisle I walked I grabbed a few things I could use. We reached the floral area. I was hoping to see more options but they were limited. Maybe the selection would have been better had I visited earlier in the day. I paid through self check out, which worked out great since I was crunched for time. I didn't have the chance to look throughout the store. I think I wouldn't mind coming back, plus it is very convenient. read more

I've lived in this area for ten years, and this Fry's store has been my go-to grocery store during that time. Currently, I'd say that I do 80% of my grocery shopping at this store - the rest would be from Wal Mart, and.....if I'm desperate.....Safeway. I get all my prescriptions here as well, and the pharmacy never disappoints. I love coming to this store. I am here five or more times per week. I know where everything is, I know many of the employees, and I am comfortable here. It's a grocery store. They're not perfect (see my pic of the mushrooms). But, overall, it's a good experience every time I shop. Elaine, in the self-checkout, is great. She is always friendly and talkative. She always has a smile, even if I don't. Also, checkers Denita and Robert are awesome as well! Not sure how much these folks get paid, but it probably isn't enough - they are one of the reasons why I continue to shop here. As the prices are reasonable, the store can be busy - and crowded. Sometimes I feel like I'm competing to shop with other customers, as well as with the click-list pickers - the aisles are narrow! Oh, well - it is what it is. I like the quarterly coupons that are sent out, and I love the "weekly specials" section! I'm always excited to shop here, because I never know what kinds of markdowns I'll find. My only real complaints are that the parking lot can be messy - I always see trash on the ground. Truly a very poorly run store with an even worse produce department. The carrots are rotten or rotten and limp, the cucumber is rotten and the celery is as poor an example as I have ever seen. The store and produce managers need to inspect the department closely! I would "choose" someplace else!! I've shopped the Fry's for decades. This by far was the worst store I've ever shopped. We were using the self check out and it kept freezing up and not working. Instead of training us how to use it, Carrie decided to treat us like morons. At one point we mention the glass screen was too dirty to scan. She told us "we chose to shop here. There's nothing more she can do." Needed to reset the register 7 times. 7 times we put up with Carrie. Each time as painful as the last. I was just standing there and she told me to "stop when I was doing right now" and then went and scolded my wife and told her to stop watching right now. Customer service 101 would dictate don't treat your customers like dirt. Sort of seems pointless to put her out with people trying to use their self checkout. Tried to talk to general manager Russell but the help at customer service is a defense to protect him from getting involved. Good thing Carrie reminded us that we chose to shop there. This place is odd. The meat prices are good, dairy is high, frozen is competitive, and I can never find what I'm looking for in the produce section. And I'm talking boring stuff like cauliflower or zucchini. Their cheese selection is good, but do they sell so much Asian that they need a massive sushi station? I miss the olive bar. Parking is a nightmare and they only seem to have 2 cashiers working at any given time. Also the store doesn't flow at all. The new store a few miles west is much better laid out. read more

The people here are very helpful. The check out is terrible! If I wanted to check out my own full cart of groceries and take 30 mins longer, I'd apply. Why do you have only self check out and one cashier? What about that makes sense? I can only scan 5 items before the machine tells me too many items on the belt. The whole process is asinine. I completely think a few self check out machines are smart but when it's 90% of the check out, then it's stupid. There is something wrong when you have only 1 register open. The lines went all the down the aisle. At the self checkout the person is always busy talking to other associates who are not doing anything. When Walmart has more real cashiers open than Frys you have a problem. It's time to get rid of self checkout. Only reason they were implemented was to save money. But groceries are still expensive. When we try to checkout we are treated like criminals. Just hire more cashiers, ensure no one is stealing. Enough of these self checkouts that continue to mess up. read more

this Fry's is a disaster. Produce that molds within a day, expired dairy products on the shelves, ALWAYS packed, never enough employees throughout the store to help (or at self checkout). My delivery orders are never 100% correct. Fry's has really gone downhill since the pandemic and I just can't shop here anymore. read more

This Fry's was a great store e few years ago. Now it's terrible. It's actually worse that the store on Bella Vista which has always been substandard. Staffing is terrible, the belted self checks are not user friendly and they don't react when lines form due to not opening the other self checks. The new Fry's on Riggs is much better. It kind of feels like the company wants this location to fail to drive customers to the new one. The butcher area also tends to get very ripe. They need to clean more often. Guess I'll spend more and start shopping at Sprouts. The extra money I spend at Sprouts is worth me not getting frustrated with this poorly managed Fry's. read more

This is going to be one of those reviews that might make you think I'm a flake and can't commit to good or bad. I'm giving it 3 Stars but a large part of my comments will be 5 Star. The positive is they have great customer service. They are usually well stocked. I'm not impressed with their pricing. They aren't the most expensive but they're not the cheapest. And that brings me to my biggest gripe. I can't stand their stupid savings plan. They're not very user friendly. I can't tell you how many times I purchased something just because of the lower price. Then I get home to find I paid full price. I didn't use one of their coupons correctly. They should make all of the coupons the same. It has screwed me over enough times that I have seriously considered shooting somewhere else. My normal store in S California doesn't use VIP cards,m or coupons. They just give the lowest price they can. If they can do it then I'm sure Fry's can figure it out. If I get home and find out I spent $8 to $10 more than I thought I should have I will go somewhere else and give them a chance. But I really would like to be a loyal Fry's customer. read more

An employee was moving a large palet of bottled waters and when asked if he was bring in distilled eater, he said they were out. So I go to Walmart and they had plenty And it was 6 cents cheaper. I asked a young lady with liquid eye if she can help me with family planning on getting the keys . She just told me to walk up to the counter and ask . In such a lazy way didn't want to help us . I ordered online toilet paper and was told I could pick it up Friday 3/13 after 5pm. I get a call from Kressy (?) at 4pm that they have too many orders and that I can pick it up today 3/14 at 11am. At 7pm Kressy (?) calls and tells me they don't have anything I ordered and she's canceled my order. I didn't check my phone until 9pm. I call Fry's and a woman says she'll transfer me to a manager. I was left on hold over 15 minutes. I call back 3xs and someone picks up the phone and hangs up. I finally get thru to Breanna, she said they normally don't cancel an order unless they have the customer's permission. She said a manager Alex comes in at 4am. I said to have him call me after 8am. It's 830am so I call and get Kressy (?). She said they didn't have any of my order and that's why she canceled it. I asked why her first message said it was just delayed until Saturday at 11am? She then tells me THEY HAVE NO IDEA what stock they have when they go to fill an order. I ask if they can fill the order with something else and she said no. read more

I shop at this Frys weekly for my family and my parents. This past Sunday I went in for some flowers and cold cuts. I was in line for some ham at the deli ten minutes before they closed. The deli guy, Matthew, took 20 minutes to wait on a customer for two items and when closing time came instead of helping those who were waiting , he just closed up shop and left. I demanded a manager 3 times , after 30 minutes I finally spoke to someone pretending to be a manager, did not show on his name tag. He did get us what we needed and finally after an hour and a lot of aggravation we were on the way. Worst service, attitude, and customer care I've ever experienced. Plenty more options out there to shop from. I'll go spend my money somewhere else. read more

I have two babies in car seats so the easiest way for me to get my groceries is doing the pick up. EVERY-TIME I pick up my groceries I have a problem. I'm officially over it and will no longer be returning to this frys. Sometimes I get charged for something and never receive it. Sometimes I order half a pound of lunch meat and I get a whole pound and was charged a whole pound. Twice I was given the wrong receipt. After the first time now I check. when I went yesterday I informed them it was the wrong one. I'm glad I did because if I hadn't then I wouldn't have had my coupons applied to my receipt. I called today to tell the girl that I wasn't given my lunch meat and she said I need to come in with my receipt. I told her I did not have my receipt I threw it away. She said without the receipt they cannot do anything. I'm very upset that I paid for something that I did not receive. I think it is absolutely ridiculous that I have to have a receipt. I have the app on my phone where I can pull up my order from yesterday but apparently that counts for nothing. read more

After visiting the new store on Ellsworth, I found Frys must be catering to the higher income demographic since they are not out of stock on the same items.
