Desert Strike is the Army's biggest bowling center. It's got 50 lanes, is clean and has plenty of space for get togethers. and we paid $4 for shoes and got them immediately, and $3.50/game. We were set up and got to bowling on lane 4. Look, it was fun. Each lane is set up for automatic bumpers that go up and down no just on the lane, but between players if you want. Noah had a lot of fun, so much so... he wanted another game. As a gathering place it's not a bad venue. They have an big adult only room, with a bar, a huge TV and a pool table. There is a small arcade. When we were having our own event using 4 lanes, there was a group of about 20 folks for a birthday party split between two lanes happy as they could be. Ms. Sonya is always straight, but she warms up after a few interactions. The rest of the team were also friendly. It's clean, it's safe, and it's fun. No outside food is allowed, and there is a diner there... we ordered the pizza and a few pitchers of soda, so we kept it simple for our group. Some of our party ordered their own club sandwiches and they looked good, too. Our SFRG does an annual event, and we will continue to do so. read more

Employees are extremely rude. They sit there and stare you down, watching your every move waiting for something they can nag you on. It's extremely uncomfortable, and clearly we aren't the first to feel this way. Across several platforms I have seen multiple reviews about Sonya, and the long haired weirdo. I'd say hopefully management would handle this, but clearly they haven't. She's the assistant manager and everyone seems scared of her. Which Is hilarious, but that's aside the point. Maybe the GM would like to hear about this? I'll make sure to have them check out both yelp, and google, so they can see this isn't an isolated problem. Fort Bliss Bowling Center has over 50 lanes the facility is pretty much new. Overall pretty affordable under $20 for two games. The grill does take approximately 45 + minutes to serve your food so order before your shoes no matter how small your meal is. They sell beer and slushies. read more

45 minutes! It took 45 frickin' minutes for this place to make my damn sandwich! I cooked an entire Valentine's Day dinner in less time than that! When it comes to a place like FBBC, once again I find myself having mixed feelings which lead me to the dreaded middle of the road. I say this because there are actually a LOT of good points to eating/playing in a place such as this. And whilst I can simultaneously say that this place (and many others like it) make me wish I'd simply just...stop eating lunch on a military base, I have to admit this place makes a damn good philly cheesesteak. And when I say good, I'm not talking "5 disgustingly bulging beer guts out of 5" good. I'm talking, like...having a choice between going to Charley's Grilled Subs to have something that represents a cheesesteak...and going to a bowling alley to have a philly cheesesteak. Perhaps I'm a little biased here. But I'll choose the latter over the former every time. Like with basically every other majorly commercialized yet independently owned franchise on Fort Bliss, the biggest problem I have with this place is the service. And they don't even really have any servers!! Here's the bottom line: it takes too damn long to get food here. Which is a real shame because it's actually really good, for what it is. Outside of that, it's also a bowling alley/wanna-be pool hall. And since they're a bowling alley first and a pool hall never (seriously, they only have like, 2 pool tables), the fact that they have about 50 bowling lanes earns them a star in and of itself. Oh, it also helps that the food here doesn't suck. If you ever choose to eat lunch here, make sure you take an extended lunch. It takes ages to get your food here and I've been here multiple times. I'm only just NOW getting to a review. And even though it felt like it took 87 hours to get my sandwich, I'm here to tell you that their version of the infamous philly cheesesteak is worthy of 4 eight balls in the corner pocket out of 5. It's the excruciatingly long wait that weighs this place down so much. Oh yeah...they have a full bar, too. Always a plus 'cause...it means you can get too plastered to care HOW long your order takes to get out the kitchen. This spot is open for business and following all guidelines. They allow up to 5 on a lane, every other lane is in service with barriers between each for safety. There are hand sanitizing stations everywhere! And all the balls, shoes, tables alleys, etc are sanitized after each group. I felt safe and yet had fun! My new favorite hang out! It was our first time going there and we didnt know what to expect. But as far as first impressions went, this place went above and beyond! My only gripe are the pair of shoes i got that were clearly on the older age and they were laced up by these odd looking laces, if one would call it that lol. But the shoes and games are cheap so i cant complain! It was a saturday night around 630 when we pulled up and ordered a large pepperoni pizza, some fries, and mozzarella sticks. We started playing as we waited for our food and we probably only got through about 2 or 3 sets into it when all our food was ready! And they were all delicious! One of the best pizzas we've actually had in El Paso! I kid you not. And we ordered 2 cocktails, the total was only 10$!! I am in love! The monitors hooked up to each lane is newly upgraded and it features lots of fun setups like choosing different backgrounds, taking your picture for your name, and adding more pictures to create funny videos for every time you take a turn. And They're all hilarious! So worth taking the time for everyone to take their pictures! And if you're not into the bowling, theres a lil arcade, pool hall, karaoke, and lounge where you can hang instead. Its so great and the place looks so clean and fun. So many bowling lanes to pick from! The inside is very clean and there are plenty of tables to sit down in to watch others bowl. They do offer food and drinks, oh and also alcoholic drinks, and they have a pool area for the 21 and over. I also saw that they sell bowling balls in the little shop that's inside. The best part is the bowling, 50 Lanes of bowling, one more time... 50 Lanes. I have gone into this location many times on different locations and it never is that crowded that I have to wait long for a lane. When we come here the staff is friendly and they are always helpful to tell you pretty close to the time that you will have to wait. Plenty of parking right in the front. The food menu is varied so look forward to a few tastes. I have tried a few different items and all have been fresh and hot. They carry fountain drinks and bottled drinks. I like that the food comes out fast and your food ticket number is announced over the intercom to grab your attention so as not to delay enjoying your meal as soon as possible. read more

One star. The employees at the front desk were absolutely terrible. Wouldn't explain how the games work. I told them I wanted 3 games in total for my fiancé and me and they kept asking "who's playing 2 games and who's playing 1." I asked them how many games I would need to purchase so that me and my fiancé can play 3 games in total with one another and they just kept looking at me like I was an idiot. Ended up just getting 3 games.We got our bowling shoes which looked like they've been used since the 1700s. We played one game. Halfway through the second game, it stopped our game and said to talk to front desk. So I go to the front desk and explain to them how the game stopped halfway through the game and the employee said I only paid for 3 games so I would have to pay for 1 more game to finish the Game. I told him that I paid for 3 games with 2 players a game and once again they couldn't explain to me anything, they just looked at me. I didn't pay to finish the game and just left. I wouldn't of mind paying for 6 games if that would've allowed me and my partner to play 3 whole games but they failed to explain that and got frustrated when I didn't understand their half assed explanation. Outside is decently nice but the inside is super outdated. Play screens are slow. Balls are gross. Worse experience I've ever had at a bowling alley. Idk who came up with you can only have one player per game rule but that bs needs to be changed or employees need to clearly explain to customers about how it works. read more

This is the largest bowling alley in the Armed Forces. Also, it's the nicest and least annoying bowling center in which I've been. Great food and drink specials. Also, reasonable rates on games with friendly folks working the lanes. There is an old pin setter named Len who roams the lanes at night. read more
