I kinda knew it would be a traveling carnival, and that's part of the appeal, they got the rides, the petting zoo, the stunt shows, the games, and, of course, the deeply fried foods, which makes for a fun evening. I just wish there were more El Chuco-ness to the fair, some El Paso flavor like local food trucks or vendors or artists. I dunno, maybe it's because it's located at the site of the old Western Playland, but it mostly made me wish I had gone to Western Playland.

Several people told me it's like a permanent fair and I would agree with that. We got there right at 5 o clock on a Saturday night and stayed for about 4 hours total. We rode everything with the exception of a few rides that were down or just didn't catch our interest, all had minimal wait times. My favorite was the ski lift type ride, we went on it twice...I recommend going right at sunset for beautiful views! We had several snacks, pretzel, churros and lemonade and we thought they were all very tasty and well priced. I really enjoyed my time there and a lot of the rides made me feel very nostalgic (Himalaya for example was always my county fair favorite!) overall my little family had a blast and I would recommend going!

As a franchise, I just had to update my waiver that was already registered under my phone. As part of the party, the kids got access to all the areas. They had laser tag, dodgeball, trampolines, rope course, and a small arcade. There were slides, a ninja warrior course, and more. My kids ran around, then ran around some more. The family hosting got pizza and soft drinks for the partygoers. They reserved the room and our host Amerika Gomes made sure we were taken care of. Even management, Mario, came by to make sure all was well. The place is usually crowded, but this Sunday it wasn't and so the kids didn't have to wait in lines for any of the attractions very long, if at all. It was clean and the entire staff from the front door to the end were pleasant. I would return here for my own kids birthdays.

We bought the platinum package, which was already expensive, and I rented a room so we could have some privacy. What I wasn't told is that the number of tables and chairs depends on how many wristbands you buy. That should absolutely be explained when booking. I knew this was the case for having the party in the general area but not in the private room which you're already paying extra for. I had several older family members come who weren't going to jump but planned to buy food and drinks, and there weren't enough chairs for them. When I asked about renting more tables, I was told it would cost $100 for one table and six chairs, which is ridiculous. It was embarrassing and frustrating, especially for what we paid. The girl in charge of my party was really nice and polite, but every time guests arrived, it took a long time for her to come to the room to hand out wristbands. That caused delays and confusion for everyone coming in. I would not recommend Urban Air for a birthday party. Take your kids on a weekend for fun if you want, but I will never host a party here again.

The Westside Natatorium is accessible to the public and they offer public lap reservations, host competitions, team training, and they even help kiddos how to swim. The facility is setup with separate entries for spectator viewing and there are dedicated spectator bathrooms and locker room for those who are swimming. What really stood out to me is how they have an upper deck for spectators and there are plenty of rows for friends and family to watch. If you are interested in getting a swim workout in there are two ways to go about it. You can make a reservation ahead of time for a one hour session or you can roll the dice and simply walk-in. I have yet to make a reservation because the lanes are so large that it's pretty easy to grab a lane. Each lane is able to hold up to four swimmers. I've lucked out and have only had to share at most a lane with one other swimmer. Now when it comes to pricing you can pay for a swim session at a time, at the price of .... wait for it ... it's quite unbelievable ... for three dollars! You can also get unlimited swim for thirty days for only $30.

Parking plentiful, but the bigger the event the further you'll have to park and walk lol. Normal stuff though for a Army instillation. This is a park that hosts many events. Gun shows, parties, the most recent "Pop Goes the Fort" 4th of July celebration. It's quite popular for large events do to its size etc. I like it. Straight down Sgt Maj, directly across from USASMA (the academy). If you're coming from east bliss and you hit the Biggs shoppette at the Luke intersection... You went about a block to far. Coming from main post or otherwise, Sgt Maj road opened up to 3 lanes... You went a tad to far. Check ft bliss mwr FB page for upcoming events held here at the park. Well supposly if you go in the swimmer area and then go into the kids area it's bad cause of the wate which obviously is weird so my mom decided to go talk to the manager and no she is not a karen or whatever for talking to the manager she had an reason to talk to him and she came back and said that he said it got to crowded in the kids area and the swimmer area which was totally different from what the lifeguards said which is crazy that they just lied to our faces and honestly the swimmer area and kid area was NOT crowded at all only one lane in the swimmer area was being used by a younger kid like younger than my sister and we even saw her go on the pool with the slide and she didn't get in trouble but we did? made no sense and it was just very weird and the manager was very petty to my mom which is not correct to do and the lifeguards lied straight to our face and even if it was true and that something with the pool water, fix it! it's not our problem you can't fix your own pool that has been up for a while and no wonder because the water looks bubbly which is not because of the water splasing onto each other it's gross water and the stairs up to the slide are disgustin as well, like hire a cleaner if you can because i do not wanna be stepping on that. Over all this pool sucks no offense, it's gross and all the above and the manager, Eric or Erick, please be better manger and stop being so petty you are aleast 40 or older to be acting like this like if your pool is causing this annoyance to you, you should even own a pool or work at it. It's also an excellent way to skip the traffic when traveling from New Mexico to El Paso (and probably visa versa but can't confidently confirm that part). I was leaving New Mexico after having a wonderful dinner and saw that there was a ton of traffic getting back to El Paso on my GPS. It suggested an alternate route; Trans Mountain Road. Normally, I'd probably just sit in traffic when I'm in an unfamiliar place. I'm from the Bay Area (California), and I am no stranger to horrible traffic. But who the hell wants to sit in traffic while they're on vacation?! I already deal with that 5 days out of the week, so spare me. It was still daylight so I decided to do it. I've driven on many windy roads, but I'll admit that this one was kind of nerve racking. Mostly because some of you Texans just don't know how to drive (sorry, not sorry). But once I got to the top of the hill and those views started to appear, it became enjoyable. I saw a vista point with a few cars parked in the distance and immediately pulled off to park there. Yep, this was it. I hit the jackpot. The pictures of the vista point doesn't do it justice. The views are outstanding! Panoramic beauty and lots of it. There's even a cute little lookout point and some picnic tables up there. It was windy as hell though, so not sure if I'd sit out there and eat something for fear of being blown over. Maybe in the summer when the weather is warmer and the winds are milder, but still. Fantastic city views of El Paso and some nice views of the New Mexican desert hills. This is definitely a hidden chill spot. I can only imagine how gorgeous the sunrises and sunsets are, but I'm sure it's even gnarlier to drive this road when it's dark. In any event, it's a lovely vista with an adventurous drive and a nice escape from traffic.
