The restaurant at this golf course is very good! Staff is friendly and the place is clean. If you want a fresh Mexican breakfast or lunch you should give place a try! Sorry I forgot to take pictures. Live the golf course itself. Greens in very good shape. Fun golf and not too punishing if you haven't been in a while. Bunkers need softer sand. Like concrete in places. The major reason for the lower stars is because when it's 96-98 degrees your beverage cart (when we could find it) should definitely have water! Absolutely unforgivable ti not either have coolers of water or at least sale some on you beer cart? I mean we had some beer, but in those conditions when you offer zero water stations is hard to forgive. I'm 49 and felt like a heat stroke by the 15th hole. But other than that, nice place to play. I just may not come back until the weather gets below 80? We did bring a couple of our own bottles, but I've never not been offered water in 30+ years playing? read more

Nice easy flat course. Trees will bite you if not careful. SO PLAY so be patient. Restaurant is great and gals are sweet. My only complaint is the loud abnoxiuos group of middle aged men who sit around and get drunk, get loud and cuz. I quess they don't want to go home. Other than that it's a fun course. read more

Their tee time booking system is completely messed up! They claim it's first come first serve but they won't answer the phone! They give all the good tee times to their regulars and pretend they filled up on a first come first serve basis. We had our wedding ceremony here back in October of 2019. The course during that time of year is unbelievable, green grass, it's well kept and great for any outdoor ceremony during that time. At the time of planning for the ceremony Justin had to take over and did an outstanding job. Justin and Alexis (I hope that's her name) were outstanding the day of the ceremony. I cannot say enough good things about both of them. The detail they gave to our request were unmatched. Everything came together due to the Justin, Alexis and the outstanding course. Cool place to play golf :) I come here every week for a lesson. It's $100 for 5 classes (it's more expensive if you want a lesson with the owner). It gets pretty packed on weekends afternoon so if you want to practice at the range, I'd recommend you to come a little early. read more

Lone Star Golf Club is a pretty typical golf course that is extremely flat and not overly exciting. The course is decently maintained, and actually much better now then it has been in recent years. Even though it has a simple design, it will provide a good challenge for even experienced golfers. Being close to the airport, it's the cheaper of the two airport courses (the other being Butterfield), running about half of what the green fee's are over a Butterfield. Even then though, $30+ green fee's are a little steep for a course of this quality, and you can find yourself cheaper golf around El Paso that is similar in quality. Lone Star is worth a trip at least once if trying to get a taste of El Paso golf, or just trying to throw in a little variety to your golfing routine. Even though I think of the course as just "OK", I still throw it into my golfing rotation every couple of months just to see how the course is doing and switch up my routine. read more

My favorite course in ep! Very beginner friendly and for the most part is kept in very good condition. Driving range,chipping and putting green, twilight rates, and lots of green! The service is a bit sub par but whatever. I only have to deal with the people inside the shop and bar for a few moments. Love this place! read more

Who knew? They have a restaurant where you can sit inside and look at the beautiful course or sit outside and enjoy a delicious bowl of menudo on the patio. Service was great, the food was great. Some family members and I decided to try out their restaurant today and the food was delicious! My only complaint would be the slow service, and an incident we had with dessert. My boyfriend and I ordered cheesecake and it was spoiled , you could even smell how sick the cheesecake was ,but they still served it to us. We told the waitress for the strawberries on the side and the cheesecake came out drowned in strawberries, when we told her it was spoiled she said she didn't even charge us for it. I suspect they knew it was rotten but served it to us anyway. I would definitely go back for the delicious food but I'd be weary of the cheesecake.... read more

Excellent golf lessons!! Mike is the best I have seen with juniors, my daughter is in high school and has only been playing about 3 years. I have taken her all over town and tried different pros and Mike has been hands down the best. He has taken her from low 100s to high 80s in 6 lessons. Flat and pretty open considering its location. I think it's a fun course and enjoy it, not as hard as some of the other courses in El Paso but a great day none the less. The bar has decently priced beer and liquor, and a nice setting to have lunch after a match. The reason for 3 stars is just that it's not the most beautiful track, and a 5 star golf course is something that needs to be earned in my book. Inside the Lonestar Golf course, is a small restaurant known as the Sandtrap. It's a comfortable very inviting type place. With windows all around to watch the golfers and TVs mounted on every wall to keep track of the golf games. The most surprising thing about this place is the food. They have a great breakfast several Mexican dishes burgers and sandwiches. I have yet to find a dish on the menu that I didn't think was good. The prices are very reasonable with almost everything under eight dollars a plate. You don't have to be a member or even a golfer to enjoy this little restaurant. I definitely recommend you try to least once. If you do choose to play a round of golf, the pro shop is adequately stocked and the price for a round of golf is in the median for the area. This golf course in my opinion has one of the better driving ranges, chipping greens and putting greens of those in the area. This course is loaded with fun with plenty of trees and water hazards. Make sure you reserve a tee time as they are popular for hosting various tourneys! read more
