I really enjoyed Fuego's lunch their dinner wasn't great. Too many favors packed into dishes that didn't work. A Peruvian restaurant inside the main lobby of Paradisus in Cancun. This restaurant requires a reservation for dinner and surprisingly fills up fast. This dinner was a disappointing end to our bachelorette weekend. The service was unbelievably slow and took about two hours for the whole experience. Not sure if they were understaffed but I'm pretty sure the cook was the one taking our orders and making our dinner. There was a lot of mix-ups in our order. One of the girls in our party ended up sick and asked for hot tea. It took 3 of us to ask on separate occasions for him to finally deliver it at the end of the meal. Sadly, the food didn't live up to the hype of our excitement for Peruvian food. I would opt for a different restaurant for dinner the next time around. read more

We had this for several of the days we stayed at Paradisus. Both for lunch & dinner. I would highly recommend a lomo saltado for dinner. The portion is small so make sure you order one of the appetizers. They had this dessert, suspiro limeno, which is in the top 3 desserts I've ever had in my life. Wow!!! What an amazing experience and the show is off the hook incredible. This place fills up fast so if you want to eat here you better get a reservation early or you will miss out. We cannot thank Mario Mena (the manager) enough. His service and caring for his customers is unprecedented in Mexico. We expected the best and he made sure to deliver. Yes this place is better than Harry's. They have some incredible food available, but let me tell you even there lower cost more reasonable food is very very good. Not a cheap place, but then again what is inexpensive in Cancun? There shows are simply incredible and an experience you do not want to miss!!!! Very nice Latin fusion restaurant. The interior is black and red, and when we went for dinner , the interior was dark, that's the only way to say it. I saw people taking out their cell phones to read the menus. The view is gorgeous, it has big glass windows on two sides and you get a very pretty view of the beach and the water. The ambiance was very nice, quiet, cozy, romantic,with nice latin jazz crooning softly. Too bad a boisterous table of ten checked in a half hour later -they were as noisy as a WWF Steel Cage Match. Since this is our first visit to an "all inclusive" resort, I'm still not used to going into a restaurant and not caring one whit about the prices. So I really have no idea where our food was priced. We started off with a complimentary pisco sour, but can you really get a "complimentary" anything at an all inclusive place? Anyway the drink was refeshing and delicious. A bread basket with regular and spicy breads, and three kinds of butter were next. I liked the spicy bread, I definitely felt the cayenne in there. My appetizer was the star of the night for my money- a great dish of sliced octopus, cucumbers and bacon. Five stars in the taste department. I had some sort of tuna dish which was fine but was a small portion - it was three cubes about the size of an ice cube each. The cubes were topped with some sort of a flat square of something, I had no idea what it was, it tasted like a cross between a crouton and an oyster cracker. Dessert was a dish of coconut ice cream served in a waffle cup and offered with a side of kahlua to pour on top. This was a very good dessert. Bottom line? We had a very nice meal in a very pretty restaurant. read more

The food was 3 course very good. I had scallops as an appetizer it was very good and flavorful. My main course was rock cornish hen with a hardy seasoned rice cooked to perfcttion. I liked that it was good the hint of citrus, kicked the flavor to the max, i honestly wanted more rice. The desert was like beignets with homade ice cream and a buttery citrusy crema. This is our third day at the resort and this is so far our favorite restaurant! (We've had Bana and Mole precious dinners). This is a Latin American Fusion restaurant. They had great assortment of foods and pretty good. I mean.. def not the best and some things were lacking but service was wonderful. And the Top Sirloin gave that extra umph to the experience. We ordered a bunch of appetizers to share-- - Shrimp ceviche (which was refreshing) - Red Tuna (tartar) that was oookay.. don't really commend raw fish here at the resort. So far they all taste like they were originally frozen. - Peruvian Causa- that was pretty interesting... it tasted like potato cake. I liked it! But its descripted with octopus and we found only 2 of the littlest pieces. - "Andes" Mountains Salad- good but too sweet. What saved it was the goat cheese. - Seafood "Chupe"- basically cream crab soup. That was whatever. But now the Top Sirloin was delicious. Asked for medium rare and got a really nice red/pink. Super tender and outside was nicely cooked and crispy. It was paired with a mushroom risotto, which was pretty nommy too! They decorated each plate very beautifully as well, like a high end restaurant. This is one of my favorite places at the Paradisus! I greatly enjoyed the quality, service and type of food. I highly recommend the Avocado & Salmon Ceviche, Red Tuna Tiradillo (Tuna Tar Tar) for appetizer, Seafood Rice Peruvian Style and Sirloin with Mushroom Risotto for dinner and Alfajores Stuffed with Blancmange for dessert. Absolutely delicious meal all around!! Satisfies the tastebuds! However watch out! Not everything is perfect! The Shrimp Ceviche was good but very boring ( plain barely marinated shrimp), Grouper Tiradillo was also too plain and not even tasty and I just did not get the Blue Crab Chupe. Why is every single restaurant in this hotel so damn hot!!! All the restaurants here are not worth the hype. It's almost impossible to get into the restaurants, you have to make a reservation in advance and even then they tell you the restaurant is full. Until I got really upset is when they said they had availability. We got a reservation at 9:30 waited 15 min to get seated. After we got seated it took them another hour to come out with the food. The duck soup was just weird. It had undercooked rice and peas and carrots and 2 pieces of mystery meat. All the other appetizers were gross too. When our meals finally came out, I had ordered the duck and it was extremely dry. I couldn't even cut through it. I didn't eat it at all, it was just not edible. My boyfriend got the sirloin and that was a little better. Overall service was slow, the restaurant didn't have any A/C and was super hot. The food was awful. Not a good experience for one of their best restaurants here at Paradisus Cancun. read more

Aaron was our server. This was my favorite restaurant out of every restaurant that I dined at, during my stay at Paradisus. For appetizers, my girlfriend and I ordered: shrimp ceviche, red tuna tiradito, and seafood chupe (blue crab). For our entrees, we ordered: breaded salmon in sesame seeds, seafood rice (Peruvian style), and Angus flank steak. Finally for dessert, we ordered: passion fruit mousse, cream cheesecake, and coconut creme brûlée. Of all these items, my favorites were shrimp ceviche, angus flank steak, and the passion fruit mousse. The staff was all very friendly and even recommended us to try their sangria which we truly loved! Highly recommend this restaurant. If I ever stay at this resort again, this will be my top choice for restaurants in the resort. read more

Of all the restaurants I went to in the Paridisus, Fuego was my favorite one. Our large party ordered basically everything on the menu and I enjoyed every bit of it. My favorites were the sirloin with risotto, the salmon, any of the ceviches, and the tuna with beet tartar. Fuego would also be a great romantic spot. Very mixed review here... 5 stars for appetizer, deserts and service. 2 stars for entrees. the service by Christian was excellent as were the appetizers we got (the "Ande's" mountain quinoa salad, shrimp ceviche and salmon avocado). The appetizers were so delicious that I could've literally ordered more and ate them for my main course and I would've been happy. Unfortunately and of course, we ordered main dishes. We asked for medium for the flank steak and the sirloin but they came out extra well done and were not that great. The flank steak was very rubbery (not good!). The duck entree was very rare, did not even eat it. The seafood risotto was decent although there was little seafood, literally one piece of shrimp, two pieces of squid, and two pieces of scallops. The "breaded" salmon was actually not breaded but just covered with sesame (not a bad idea, just shouldn't be called "breaded"); but worst of all, the salmon was barely cooked, gross. I am used to the U.S. where a salmon dish on the main menu is always fully cooked. They should've at least wrote that it was not or informed us how we would've liked it cooked. We ordered the chicken because we could not eat all the entrees--the chicken dish was decent, at least eatable! As for desserts, they were very good. Service was slow, but there were two larger parties just leaving and just sitting down. We got the chicken skewers for an appetizer which was good, but semi boring. I ordered beef tenderloin with asparagus and risotto. He ordered sea bass, but upon the comment "the sea bass is not the best quality" switched the fish to grouper in sea bass plate. We are unsure if he was being honest or if they had a ton of grouper to get rid of and very little sea bass left. Both meals were seemingly lack luster. While I enjoyed it at the time, I would probably not return, not while there are so many other options available. Plus the ambiance reminded us of a junior prom. This place requires a reservation. Just make one. We were seated promptly and from then on the service and food was the best I've had all week at the Paradisus Cancun. Waiters were fast and efficient. Always making sure we were okay and our glasses were full. The food was great! The best I've had here. I've been to the buffet, the Market Grill, Mole and Tacos, Blue Agave, La Perla, and had room service and poolside service. Everything I had was edible, unlike some things I've gotten from other places, and I actually finished everything. I actually wanted more but they were closing and we were the last ones left. The other two people I was with were very satisfied with their selections as well. I had the Peruvian starter, the beef tenderloin entree, and passion fruit mousse and creme brûlée. Disappointing. From outside, it looks awesome....very similar to the bar in the resort with dim lighting and red accents such as velvet walls and red mood lighting. First impressions not good already, we were first in line when it opened up at 6. Then a group of people from china cut in front of us that had a group of 14 got sat, restaurant was not courteous enough to know who was first. Then when we got to the seaters, we told them we had 5 and was told it would be a 30 minute wait. Really? Second person in line and still have to wait an extra 30 min. This place is not 5 group friendly. For now it's a 1 star, until we finally get seated and get our food. *update* appetizers were really good, but when it came to the main course, my beef tenderloin was overcooked and could have used a bit more salt. The seafood tempura was decent, it wasn't as warm and somewhat soggy. Had the creme brulee for dessert and it was ok, but having made creme brulee at home I can tell this was not done properly; the custard was cooked too hot too fast causing the eggs to scramble. read more

This is one of the best meals we have had at Paradisus Cancun, an all-inclusive resort. The house red was a delicious Chilean Cab/Merlot blend. No problem having our glasses refilled multiple times. For appetizer I had a cold octopus and avocado roll that was lemony and delicious. We had the duck and blue crab soups- both were fresh and delicious! Our entrees were duck and sirloin with risotto- both were perfection! The ambiance is lively but still conducive to conversation. Service is a bit slow, but why not take your time? You won't be rushed. The room is small, so you must have a reservation. And if you want dessert, it's quite good too. read more

Elegant Atmosphere Great For a dinner date or group of friends. Pretty romantic and quiet scenery. Our Server Isaul was beyond professional and helpful made our dinner even better. He recommended some great dishes. The Salmon And Avacado appetizer was a great start and The Breaded Salmon In Sesame Seeds with Passion Fruit was superb. My girlfriend had the The Chicken "Anticucho" which was also pleasing in taste. The overall presentation for all the dishes were immaculate. First time having Creme Brûlée not to bad but my significant other was astounded by the taste and texture.
