They're not making drip coffee in summer cuz no one drinks it. So I blame all of you for them not having what I wanted! My cold brew was good. And the pastry I got was delicious.

Very happy I finally got to visit Clownboy Coffee. The shop decor is playful and bright, creating a cozy ambiance. The shop currently has a fall menu offering and I had to get the Scully, named after my favorite 90s special agent. Delicious drink with smoky fall flavors. I was able to have it made iced with almond milk. The shop also had a nice offering of pre-made baked goods from local partners such as The Red Fern and The Little Brownie. A rotation of pastries were also available such as pretzel croissants and cinnamon buns. Seating is limited (two tables) and a bathroom is available on site. You will also find art on display for sale, as well as books, pins, and stickers from local artists. The shop is very much connected to the community with these offerings and there is even a board for local events, mutual aid, and business card offerings. It was busy when we arrived with only one barista working. The barista would take orders and then made the drinks for the order. They were very kind and hardworking. We had no problem being patient waiting for our turn. There was so much to look at in the shop while waiting. Street parking is available and was easy to find. The street the shop is located on is tree lined and quiet. Very happy to support a queer & trans owned coffee shop with ties to the local community. The vibes at Clownboy Coffee are superb!

Small, cute and cozy. About the size of my living room with About 3 very small tables. You can park in front of the business. It is literally right across the street from Salvatores.

Cran-cha (cranberries and matcha) drink from Clownboy Coffee in Rochester, NY

I really enjoyed my experience at Clownboy and admire them for being queer/trans-owned as well as fully VEGAN which makes them the only all-vegan coffee shop in the Rochester area to my knowledge. The only things I didn't love about my experience were the size of the space (fairly small, only 6 seats) and my Cran-cha (cranberries and matcha) drink which was just not much to my taste personally (too much cranberries sinking to the bottom of the drink). However, there were other pluses like the charming interior decor, the bulletin board full of community news and promos, and the polite and considerate barista. Would recommend highly as a good place for ethical coffee consumption and good vibes. The location is on a nice part of Main Street and quite close to another favorite of mine, Alt Bar.

Clownboy Coffee is a great new coffee shop! I have been here twice in the last week, and both times have been great! Cowboy is such a cute little queer-owned coffee shop in the heart of Rochester. The inside is so cutely decorated but tiny, so you may have to take your coffee to-go. The first time I ordered the But I'm a Cheerleader which is their June special. This drink is sparkling water, lemonade, strawberry, and orange syrup. I loved this drink! It was so fun and fresh. The second time I ordered a Stramatcha with oat milk as they were out of almond milk. This drink is housemade strawberry syrup and iced matcha. This one was also pretty good, but I found it to be a little watered down. I think this may be the oat milk they are using for the drink. I would love to come back and try it again with almonds! Overall this is a great little cafe and I can't wait to come back and try more things!

I've been dying to try out Clownboy it opened! It's so nice to have a queer owned coffee shop in the heart of Rochester! You walk inside and the shop itself is bright and colorful, very different from today's Rochester weather. They have a fabulous menu and specials. I ordered the But I'm a Cheerleader which is their Pride special which donates $1 ROC LGBTQ together The staff here are super friendly and welcoming! Venmo to pay or use cash or card.

Love that there is a new coffee shop in the area. There is small parking lot in the back. Plenty of drink options. I ordered a peach matcha which was seasonal at the time. The matcha itself was delicious, but I didn't care for the peach texture. There is some seating inside but not the best place for working as it's limited.

Clean, spacious restaurant, friendly service and fresh food!…read moreI had a hard time choosing what to order with all the selections on the menu including bibimbap, udon noodles, k-popcorn chicken, rice bowls & more! I ended up ordering the spicy bulgogi salad. After ordering, you are given a "buzzer" and can sit at any open table to wait. It didn't take too long for my food to be ready... Maybe 10-15 minutes. All the veggies (romaine, carrots, corn & cukes) in my salad were crisp and the beef was flavorful and perfectly cooked with a nice spice/heat. I ate my whole salad and was happily satisfied. I wanted to order a cute and yummy looking jiggly bear dessert, but I was too full and didn't know how it would travel the 1hr plus drive back home. Maybe next time I visit, I will only eat half my meal to save room for dessert.

I love to get the Biscoff bingsoo which is a cookie butter, shaved ice with coffee. I've also had their strawberry lemonade, which is pretty good. m sometimes I've noticed that their food can take quite some time to be ready, so I don't usually come here when I'm in a rush the staff here is really nice and they also have a great seating area that is super pretty. I do think they are a bit expensive here for what you get as well.

If there's a food trend, you best bet I'll be jumping on it…read more Mochinut offers Korean corn dogs, boba beverages, and of course, mochi donuts. This time around, I only came to give the donuts a try. This location is really cute and fun, lots of seating! The service was quick and attentive as well. First the positive: I loved the texture of the donuts. Rice flour-based desserts have a chewier texture that I find really good, and the donuts here were no exception to that. They held up well over the two days after I bought them, which is a plus. Where they fell flat was, unfortunately, with the flavor. I got three different kinds (strawberry cheesecake, white chocolate raspberry, and taro), and they all tasted the same. Just vaguely sweet and sugary, which isn't a bad thing. I was just expecting a lot more in terms of flavor considering the price point. I might give Mochinut a shot again in the future for their donuts, but I definitely want to come back for a Korean corn dog and a boba tea. I think the concept here is really unique, and it's nice to have a different option for treats!

The Korean corndogs here are delicious, and they always have a good variety of boba drinks and donuts. The inside is not very big with just a few chairs, but the parking is ample. The wait can get pretty long here as it is close to the University, hotel, and is a popular area, but it's usually worth the wait! If you get a Korean corndog, make sure to get the sweet chili sauce to go with it, it is the best!

Both flavors were incredible: super creamy and rich. My friend got chocolate almond fudge, and that was just as good. Other than sweet treats, they also have coffees and teas on their menu, and a bunch of different dairy products. It feels cozy, local, and authentic - like everything is fresh or straight from the farm. It's actually part of a long-standing local farm operation, which makes the experience feel even more genuine. I also loved that they support other local businesses and sell products from them, it adds to that community feel. Overall, this place is more than just an ice cream stop, it's a whole experience. Definitely coming back.
