There was a young girl taking the orders and she was good in the register and I could tell she knew the menu which I appreciated. While my friend and I ordered our food, I saw maybe one half smile and she amended a total of 6 times during the order. Yes, I began counting after the first. She seemed to be a good worker as I watched her fill the ice machines and clean tables etc... I just felt she was lacking in customer interaction. She seemed like she didn't want to be there. The restaurant itself was clean and the cooks were working hard to get food out. It was all out in a timely manner. The bartender seemed to know his clientele and was having multiple conversations with them while serving drinks. This tells me it was a regular watering hole for locals. I have also been to the Judge Ely location and my advice is, if you're looking to take your kids or have a little family time, the Judge Ely location is the place to go. If you're looking to take a date out or have drinks and good food with a group of friends then this Turner Plaza location is the place to be.

My friend decided to go to the bathroom while we were waiting. When he came back, he asked if I had any hand sanitizer (I did not). He revealed that the men's bathroom was SO FILTHY AND DISGUSTINGLY DIRTY that he didn't want to even touch the faucet handles to wash his hands it was that bad! I was so disgusted at the image I conjured up that we immediately without hesitation just got up and left. Without our food! You know what they say about restaurants that don't bother to keep their bathrooms clean... Ewwwwwwwwwww! CUSTOMERS BEWARE. I don't care how good the food looks or tastes. She acknowledged that and left. Everyone else was finished with their food and I had finished most of my rice and beans before I could flag down our server and mention that they had not brought my meal and I had mentioned it when they brought everyone else's food. She left and didn't come back to update us at all until she showed up with a plate of something - not a quesadilla. It was poorly made tacos with chicken and a few sprinkles of unmelted cheese. When i mentioned it she claimed that was the way they made their quesadillas. I've had the chicken fajita quesadillas at Chuy's before and that's not the way they were made. If they had bern, then I certainly would not have ordered them again. This Chuy's is relatively new, but they have been open more than long enough to have their act together. This is very disappointing service and even more disappointing food. My assessment of this Chuy's and of Chuy's in general are that they are pretty much hit and miss. You might have a great visit, then a couple bad visits. That's not a way to build a successful business. Chuy's was recently bought by Darden Restaurants. They need to figure it out pretty quickly or Darden will close their doors. I hope they get it together; but i will likely be without my business.
