This is an ok car wash. The line was a little long and there really wasn't too much direction after leaving the lineup. The car in front of me also got stuck and my car slightly ran into his bumper . I'm not sure how they can tell the difference between the options cars purchase because they never checked my receipt. read more

Fuel City Car Wash in Wylie is absolutely the best! I had been going to Express Car Wash, but Fuel City Car Wash is so so much better. Guys do a better job pre-spaying before entering the wash. My pickup is clean on the tires, wheels, running board, windshield, and rear end. It is amazing! Everyone is so helpful and friendly! The manager is present and really runs this place like an oiled machine. Today, he came by and asked me if everything was okay and to be sure and tell him if there were any problems. Wow! I am impressed. My Honda Pilot is also very clean when washed. The areas to park for vacuuming are so hide and easy to get in and out. Excellent to have this in Wylie!! read more

They are cool for the most part they get the job done when you just want to knock the dust off, lines can be long BUT they move pretty quick. The vacuum hoses aren't great a lot of them don't work. There are other services provided like tire shine and a physical wipe downs of vehicles but like the half ahh working vacuums you have some half ahh's workers. Fuel City wash is just great. I live in Arlington, but on days I am assigned to manage the Dallas office of my agency I make sure to stop in here for a thorough car wash at a great price. Some days the line is VERY LONG. It moves pretty quickly once you pay though. There is a $5.99 price point, an $8.99 price point and a $14.99 price point. You can also add individial services per service, all the way up to full interior and exterior. I suggest the $14.99 for a really comprehensive exterior wash, towel dry and tire shine. Of course, they have free vacuums to finish it up. They work very well, too. Once you go through the wash, if your towel dry is included, you follow the left to a sign where employees come out and tag team the towel dry and tire shine. From there you can hit the vacuums or split. The reasons for a star subtraction are minimal, but consistent. First, when they are busy, they really run the cars through quickly. As you are exiting the wash, you await a green light. Sometimes, they push them in so close that if the car waiting on the light hesitates, you can easily experience a little bump. Secondly, on more than one occassion I have gone for my towel dry (usually before 11AM) and there is one aged gentleman that is physically struggling to dry the car off due to what seems like leg pain. This is okay, I certainly believe everyone should work if they desire, but no one is assisting him at all. On one occassion, I have even watched his co-workers watch him. He seems to really stuggle bending down, so the lower parts of the car often never see a towel. They offer guarantees on the wash (which seem tl vary in duration). After several car washes here, I am pretty happy with the quick and friendly service along with their car wash rates. Fuel City Wash has three tiers, starting from $5.99 and up. There is an employee available to help with your car wash selection and purchase. I like to tip that person a buck for helping me fold in my right side passenger mirror, I always forget. Your car wash starts with a spray pre soak, which really helps to get stuck on dirt & grime loose. Their soft wash scrubers haven't damaged or scratched my cars paint, thankfully. They have a polish station for your tires and car's exterior right outside the main car wash. Unfortunately Fuel City doesn't offer a monthly pass or discount rate anymore for repeat guests, which is a bummer. My washes here have been very thorough, including getting the annoying dust brake out of my rims, which usually makes my car look dirtier than it is. The lines move pretty fast as well, and there are always open spots in the complimentary vacuum area. Some of the docking areas don't have the best vacuum suction, I like #5 on the north side, it can get all kinds of dirt out of the knook and crannies of my car's interior. It's a standard 10 minute time allotment to vacuum with your car's music level to a minimum. Personally, during off hours I have been able to detail my car for a solid 30 minutes and no one said anything. Of course, I would never do that during peak or busy times. They are open typically from sunrise at 8am to sunset, usually 8pm. I just found out that they stay open until 9pm during summer hours. Call ahead just to make sure. And with Fuel City Gas attached to this lot, what is not to love about this spot. It's 5 minutes from my house, has amazing Street tacos, decently priced gas, and a ton of chilled beverages to choose from. First: The lines were outrageous, chaotic, and disorganized for the gas AND the wash. I stayed anyway; my mistake. I put my blinker on to move into an open gas pump and a woman pulled in right in front of me and PARKED! No class! Then, she yelled at me! Second: After waiting in a 10-minute line for the car wash, where there was only ONE young woman flipping from one line to the other, I went in the car wash and exited with my car only PARTIALLY CLEAN! Third: I pulled into FOUR different vacuum bays and NONE worked/NO SUCTION!!! Finally, at the fifth vacuum bay, the hose had MINIMAL suction. This place needs cleaning (TRASH on the ground and overflowing in trash bins), an organized line for entry and exit, and working vacuums and washing machines. I cannot figure out why there was a line: they certainly aren't the best car wash! Highly DON'T recommend. read more

My car had been sitting for a few days and the windshield was so dirty visibility was strained. Fuel City was the closest car wash so I got in line not realizing it was a robo wash. My car is a 1980 Corvette and I always hand was her.I was stuck in line with cars behind me so I was committed. After exiting I noticed my antenna had been ripped from the car. Not just broken but torn from the body of the car. I brought it to the attention to a worker and he said because my car was over 20 years old, they weren't responsible. Let me start off with I've always come to Fuel City for the tacos, the gas, the animals and to get my car washed however I'm at a point where it's just not worth the hassle. We visited on 6/29/18 after 5pm and I asked the guy to scrub the bugs off my windshield and he just nodded yes and waved me into the bay. Needless to say he just sprayed my windshield and off we went. However while in the bay we stopped moving and sat there several minutes before a guy came up and told me that I would need to drive out of the car wash as there was a mechanical problem. As I'm getting ready to go another employee tells me to wait. He comes back and tells me that they got it fixed and it's gonna finish my wash. My car did go through however nothing sprayed or "washed" my car. At this point I'm extremely disappointed as I've just spent $15 on this wash. So I pull around and tell the first guy that this is totally unacceptable as I have soap dripping off my car. He then informs me that they are gonna send me back through again. I once again tell him that I have bugs on the front of my vehicle so can he please scrub the front before sending me in which he half way does. After the wash we go over and get dried off and tires shined however I still see bug guts on my windshield. I think to myself they will get that when they wipe it down however the young lady totally missed that part of my windshield. I had to have someone come back and clean my windshield however he ended up leaving streaks in which i had to come behind him to clean myself. Yes you do get to vacuum your car for "free" with every wash however when you leave they have you drive in front of the entrance where they are spraying the cars and therefor you end up with water spots on your car again. If you get the upgraded wash, they do give you a rain guarantee, which basically amounts to a second wash. It use to be 7 days as the machine says when you insert your credit card however they apparently changed it to 5 days as the girl told me to read my receipt when i tried to use it on a past visit. I think it's time for us to part ways and for me to find a new place to wash my car. read more

I went Thursday morning looking for self service car wash. What it does not, It's not self service. What It does have, Self service vacuum, included with all washes. No need to interact with other service members apart from car wash entry. One person waved you into car wash and then afterwards, assists in selection product for the wash. Their reasonably priced car washes ( $8 for the second best ) persuaded me to give it a chance. Good idea that I did! It cleaned the sport car so well, the rims looked shiny & new. Most car washes do not clean the rims as thoroughly, the roof was also very clean. The vacuum worked better than expected well. It cleaned the crumbs off after one pass. Both from the seats & carpet flooring. They most definitely have a returning customer. read more

My dog pukes in the car. I got a car dog hammock which for some reason makes her puke less and, if she does puke, at least most of the puke goes on the hammock and I can throw that in the wash. I also got Betty some anti-nausea meds and calming treats. They work if I give the meds an hour to kick in. But sometimes I don't have an hour. Or I'm gone longer than I think and I have no meds for the return home. I try to keep my drives with her to about 15 minutes and she's fine if under 15 minutes. She loves the drives. She will run around my car begging to be let in. She has no memory of barfing before. Anyway, we're figuring out slowly how to get her to her favorite places without barfing. I feel horrible about that, but this isn't about that. This is about the heroes at Fuel City who wash my car. If you spend an arm and a leg for detailing, STOP. Go to Fuel City. These people are amazing and the price is so much better. I've gotten cheaper that was horrible and more expensive that was just as good. Seriously, I tip 50%. Well, for two reasons. 1. because they are awesome and 2. it's dog puke. Also. Tacos. (Almost took a star because you have to eat your tacos with pigeons and those pigeons get cranky. The gripe I have with this place concerns their "fast pass" system for members. They have one lane that is dedicated to fast pass members. However, during their busiest times, they allow anyone to use this lane, which defeats the whole purpose of fast pass. During the busiest times, I as a monthly-paying member should be able to speed through the line; instead, I have to wait just like everybody else. Also, because of the layout of the place, the fast pass lane is situated in a way that you have to wait through half the line until you can actually access it since it is tucked away in the far right corner. What's not to love about Fuel City... if you can love a 24/7 gas station, that's also an award winning taco stand; great car wash; excellent drink and snack stop; live DJ booming music dance while you pump on the weekend; 'No Swimming' pool; and don't forget the zebra, camels, donkeys (an albino one too!) and mini herd of longhorns. I went through the Fuel City Car wash in Cedar Hill, TX on 12/21/2020 and the rollers scratched the hood of my car. I have tried contacting Fuel City and they keep telling us that someone will call me back.......Someone has not. It looks like I will be letting my insurance deal with the problem. I love this Gas/Carwash/TacoStand/GiftStore Station. When I am passing through downtown and in need of a quick fill up on gas, food, drinks, or atmosphere, this is the spot. It is a busy location and sometimes it is hard to navigate all the traffic coming in and out. You have the downtown crowd as well as the freeway traffic at all times of the day. The gas is now Gulf (former Fina I think) and it is always reasonable. For those passing through and need a Texas trinket, they can load up inside with all kinds of stuff from shot glasses to giant pencils. Don't be scared of the area (near the jail) because it is well lit and has cameras watching over us all. It is the best location to get all you need to keep it moving! read more

I come here all the time to wash my car. U can actually smell the soap through your vents. There's some car washes that use old dirty water, and you can tell the difference. Normally, the vacuums are great BUT today, I had to park 3 different times just to find a good vacuum! So frustrating, especially when you've got a young one and you're just trying to get in and get out. Please fix those and I'll be a happy customer, once more. read more
