First time ever eating here. Pretty unique with the revolving sushi bar. A little bit different seeing things fly by you. You select what you want. It helps for people in a little bit of a hurry. Although it was unique, I didn't order from that. I ordered a Poké bowl and it was fabulous. Just the right amount of sauce very generous with the fish tasted outstanding. The tonkotsu ramen here was so good. The broth was so tasty and I love it how they gave the whole egg, not just half a piece like other places. The egg was cooked correctly and was still a bit yolky, which I love. The noodle has a good texture as well. My two years old loves the rolls. She ate three places. The waiter was very thoughtful and even asked if we needed scissors to cute noodles for my two years old. My oldest likes the crunchy roll here too and usually we order from the menu. Stopped in on a Wednesday night and the vibe was calm. Christmas music was playing, the lights were soft, and the dining room was pretty quiet. My son loves revolving sushi because he gets to grab plates like it is a mini game, but tonight the belt was moving slow. There were long stretches where nothing came by. I understand keeping food waste down, but it definitely toned down the fun. We were seated right away. Service was fine. When we sat down, someone had just left the bar and their plates and cans stayed there a little longer than I wanted to see. A quicker cleanup would have helped the vibe. From the belt, I grabbed a Monster Roll and a Hidden Dragon Roll. My son grabbed edamame, a Volcano Roll, and then the chocolate mousse cake because the conveyor basically advertised it like a commercial. Honestly, the chocolate mousse cake ended up being the best part of the night. Creamy, mildly chocolatey, and sitting on a little cookie crust. We like that. Everything else we tried was decent and the prices were fair. I also ordered the crispy rice tuna. Good crunch, mild tuna, fresh avocado. Solid enough for a midweek stop. Overall it was a mellow visit. The conveyor was a little too quiet for our taste, but my son really likes this spot, so we will be back. 3.5 stars We were attempting to avoid the crowd at Kura and instead found ourselves here on a Friday night. There are notable differences between Kura and Fuji. For one, there is no crowd. Secondly, and importantly, the conveyor belt selection at Fuji is a little more limited. You can of course order off the menu, but those tend to be full sized rolls/dishes and more of a commitment. Tbh, ordering a la carte isn't quite so fun as trying a weird little roll off the conveyor belt. I thought the nigiri was pretty good. The albacore and tuna pieces were a little frozen-y for my liking and could have used a little more thawing time. The specialty rolls off the conveyor belt were also okay good. Good enough to satiate my craving not nothing to write home about. Interestingly enough, there are a number of Vietnamese dishes in the menu should you want to dabble in both. With that said, I feel like Fuji is an actual sushi restaurant that moonlights as a revolving sushi bar. read more

We're parents to a 1 year old, which means Valentines day was a bit of a last minute thought this year. We gathered up the strength on the last leg of the day and rounded up the troop for sushi! What spot would you recommend to make the night fun and entertaining for all of us? That's right, revolving sushi belt. We arrived a little past 5pm to a fairly empty restaurant. With 2 servers working, and a couple of chefs behind the counter, this seemed like a quiet night. We were passed menus, while we slid down our booth seats- to really no other direction after. It was our first time, so we had no idea what we were walking into. Menu does not have much direction, but thankfully- we made it through. Servers were in close enough proximity to order anything off menu, and the conveyor belt is an endless free for all. With plates ranging between $3 to $5 dollars. We opted to get their Fuji Garlic Fries ($7.99), an order of their Crispy Rice ($8.99) and tried their Milk Tea ($6). The plates all consisted of 2 pcs of different sushis'. This gives you ample opportunity to try different flavors and combos, without the commitment to a plate of 6-8 pieces. We got 17 plates in and a recurring grab for us was their Salmon Nigiri, $4.25 a plate for 2pcs of thickly sliced salmon. Great quality fish, they had their peppered option and one with a dollop of a mayo sauce as well which were all divine. Aside from salmon, we saw eel and shrimp and 1 seared tuna tataki. There weren't any other fish for nigiri which was disappointing. A majority of their rolls were California rolls with a twist, basically all artificial crab meat which is not our thing. Overall, the food was decent, not quite bang for your buck but the experience was definitely fun. We'll probably try out other revolving sushi restaurants before opting to come back here. read more

The vibes were cute--it's a really small spot but the cozy atmosphere works for it, and the staff were super attentive and very friendly, which I really appreciated. That said, the sushi itself was pretty mid. The ikura was disappointing--half-filled with roe even though the menu photo shows it completely full. The quality of the fish was okay, but nothing that stood out or felt especially fresh. It wasn't bad, just not memorable. Everyone is friendly and this place isn't as popular as kura revolving down the street but honestly I think it's better than kura sushi when it comes to taste and price. Something has changed... This was my go to spot for revolving sushi but things aren't what they used to be. The food had no flavor and the server was not there for the important things like checking up if we had everything we ordered off the menu, see if we needed refills, bringing us the check when we were ready to go. That sort of thing. The rolls all tasted bland, the sauce on it felt generic without pizzazz, the beer was warm, even the wasabi didn't taste wasabi-like. I'd have to say that this may be a hit or miss but we won't be returning back. Time to find another sushi spot. Bummer. read more

There were very few items on the conveyer belt, which makes sense as there was only 1-2 other parties in there besides us. Menu was sticky and dirty. The table had the sticky residue. I had lunch here, FUJI sushi, new place across from the Costco. I don't like to eat the sushi at the conveyor belt bar like revolve sushi Cypress but my husband wanted to try it out. It was petty busy during lunch time. They have a big conveyor belt bar and small spot for the tables. No choice today so we sat at the bar. They have lots of menus from the appetizer, udon, specialty rolls, and different noodles. We ordered 2 dragon rolls, one rainbow, and one egg roll w hot Sake. First, the rolls, I always check the rice quality, whether it is chewy or sandy texture, uncooked or too overcooked. To be honest, the rice was hard, not chewy, that is why I give 3 stars for the roll. Second, the roll size is pretty tiny. I know the price is a little cheaper than the fancy restaurant but small. Third, I like the ginger and wasabi are at the bar. I can eat as much as possible. I don't need to ask everytime "Can I have some more gingers?" Overall, the quality is not 5 stars. I know the chef needs to get more experiences to make the perfect sushi rice. I heard it takes more than 10 years. Why am I picky for the rice? It gives more flavors when I chew the rolls. I want to feel the chewy texture, cooked perfect, seasoned well. Pros Price: affordable, if you are alone, easy to eat taking the small plates at the conveyor belt bar. Parking is rough because it shares a parking lot with Costco and some other businesses. There is a good variety of items between the sushi on the conveyor belt and all of the items you can order via table service. I tried sushi from the belt and it was pretty good. Packed during lunch time today, I foundonly the bar was available. My wife is a sushi lover and she doesn't like the conveyer style foods. She is also picky about the sushi rice. When we ordered the dragon, rainbow for our entrée and egg roll for the appetizer, hot sake for myself, we waited for the appetizer for a while. They didn't serve it quickly. My wife said right away the rice was not great. The rolls are tiny. I noticed too the rice was not chewy, once I tasted my first dragon roll. I liked the hot sake. Almost good quality. As an appetizer, they served it after we finished the rolls at the end. How weird! I feel something missing for the foods. I'd used to go to the fancy sushi restaurant in Buena Park for a while, I never felt the sushi rice was hard, something was missing. For the express lunch or dinner, this place is good for the fast service from the conveyer. You pay less, eat fast, but the foods are on the conveyer for a while. We have over 80 in the afternoon in the summer, I am kind of concern it, is this o.k? How long are the plates sitting on the conveyer? Stumbled upon this cute little spot after stopping at Costco in the same lot. Came in for an early dinner and it was perfect timing. Go seated right away and because of the rotating belt, the food is quick. Ordered a sushi roll and ramen off the menu which also came out quick. We had such high hope for Fuji!! It's in the same plaza as Costco, so we saw it all the time. Craving for sushi on a Sunday, we finally stopped by for the first time. We stopped by at 6pm ish that day. There weren't that many customers yet but after we sat down, more customers came in. The restaurant looked modern and clean. The belt was on with a variety of sushi and rolls when we sat down. The sushi chef also told us he could make whatever items that were not on the belt so we did. Their scallop and yellowtail sushi were really good (not on the belt but the chef made them especially for us). They had a huge menu other than sushi. They also had a good variety of drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Great customer service. So why the two stars? We had a good time and left with full bellies that night. However, later that night, one person from our group threw up. Another person had stomachache throughout the night and threw up the next morning. The third person never threw up but spent the next day in the bathroom.. well yes there were only three of us in our group and we all got food poisoning! None of us ate anything before or after dinner that day and none of us was sick before, so it was likely that we got ill from something we ate at the restaurant... maybe from something we picked up on the belt? I meant, we went at an earlier dinner time so maybe some of the stuff had been sitting there for a while? The problem is- if you operate a revolving sushi place and you're putting food on the belt, you need to keep your food fresh- which includes replacing old food that's been sitting there for a while. Also, if you cannot afford to replace or serve fresh food on the belt all the time, don't put anything on the belt until customers request the food! I don't want to be critical but i really believe that it's not unreasonable for customers to expect the same quality of food ANYTIME during open business hours. Totally get that this wasn't a premium high end sushi spot but it's still important to serve food fresh, especially raw food... maybe this was a rare occasion but I hope no one experiences what we did. I came here one time during my lunch break when I used to work at Costco across from it. The old grandma lady at the front desk took my order and then she told me I had to wait outside, which was understandable because it was during covid times. So we were not allowed to dine in, only carry out. I ordered a Vegas roll, I believe. Either way, most sushi rolls don't take that much time to prepare because you don't really have to cook anything. Anyway, I waited outside. And I did not expect to wait that long! Reminder I was on a lunch break, so I was on a crunched time. I waited and waited thinking she was going to come outside and tell me my food is ready. I only had about 10 minutes left on my break, so finally I just decided to step inside and ask about my sushi roll, and there she had it right next to her, wrapped up in a to-go bag! For God knows how long! Quite frankly I was pissed off because SHE WASTED MY TIME. Why didn't she come out and tell me "hey, your food is ready!" Especially since we were not allowed to be inside. It would have been very courteous of her to do me the favor of telling me that my food is ready. That would have been great customer service. When I finally did get my hands on my roll I had to scarf it down quickly because I didn't have much time left on my lunch, therefore I didn't really get to actually enjoy the sushi. Eating in a rush is never a good experience. That experience left a horrible taste in my mouth. And I always carry that with me. And now every time I pass by this establishment I just think about the time how that lady didn't it give me great customer service experience, she did not exceed my expectations. She was just so dismissive and to herself. Absolutely no consideration for the customer or during the times of uncertainty that we were facing during that lockdown. It's a revolving conveyor belt sushi place, not a five star restaurant. If you come with the knowledge that you will not get great quality sushi from any conveyor belt sushi place, you will leave satisfied. I was debating between 3-4 stars and decided on the 4 because of the reason that they do not use msg. When I go to a place that does use msg I leave feeling incredibly bloated. I do not have that problem here so I boosted up a star. I did not feel any of the fish was smelly or fishy- it was ok. My kids enjoyed the conveyor belt and I left paying 30 percent less than I usually do at other conveyor belt sushi places so price here is better than I expected. Service was incredibly quick, variety of mostly rolls, extra a la carte items available on menu and choice between tables and bars. Water refilled without being asked and chef noticed what our family was choosing and placed more of that on the belt also without being asked. However, the fun factor isn't really there. Kura has more of that fun factor (ex: the train on top that brings a la carte items, a robot that brings drinks, prizes for every 15 dishes etc). However I did prefer the food here over Kura. I always leave Kura with that bloated stomach feeling due to msg. I felt the fish and rice was a little more fresh here. Prices are better here as well. read more

GREAT conveyor belt sushi. My friends wanted to meet here and I normally don't enjoy this kind of sushi but thought it would be really fun for the kids. The nicest surprise was the sushi had minimal amount of rice and tasted great with decent cuts of fish on them. Normally this kind of restaurant uses a ton of rice and thin slices of fish so you get full faster. All sushi from the conveyor and the handrolls we ordered were repeats and I also enjoyed the way they designed the tracks so you get a good "preview" of what's coming up and have time to prep for grabbing. I would not recommend their menu items. I got a chicken teriyaki for the kid and it had a turned taste so we returned it. Location is in a large mega-plaza but the restaurant is located off to the side in almost its own mini plaza so parking was easy and you aren't competing with some of the other large stores in this location. read more

I've past this place up plenty of times not knowing what I've been missing out. Now I think I gota put it on my list to come back. I know Yakisoba aint nothing too crazy to get all super excited about but what ever the chef was doing he was on point with the flavor. Not too over powering on the garlic and great mixture of flavors with rice/filet mignon or noodles /shrimp. For the type of place it is and not a fancy sushi restaurant this place deserves 5 stars. This restaurant is tucked away in a corner between Panda Express and Jamba Juice. It is easy to miss if you don't know what you are looking for. We requested the open table, but it was reserved for parties of four and there were only two of us. Ironically, there was not a lot of customers and it didn't really pick up by the time we were done so they would have been fine to let us use the table. The service was still pretty good as they checked in on us periodically. That was probably the highlight of the meal and why this is not a lower rating. The revolving belt did not have a lot going on, which really defeated the purposes of going to revolving sushi. See attached pictures of the empty belt. When the belt did have food on it, it was mostly California rolls either dressed up or in disguise. It was like those toy stuffed animal pig dressed up like a cow, although cute, it's clearly not a cow. It's not a good sign for a sushi restaurant when you have mostly California rolls. It also wasn't a good sign that the same Eye ball roll was on the belt when we arrived was still there when we left. We ultimately ended up ordering from the menu. I ordered the Salmon Collar because I had never been to place where I didn't enjoy it until now. My disappointment continued because it was overcooked... The food was okay at best. When the check arrived, the prices seemed reasonable. However, the value was not good. For the same price, you can go to Kura Revolving Sushi and they give you 4 pieces instead of 2.
