He put love into each plate and truly appreciates each customer. The value is incredible and he knows it too. I crave this so often!! I would not recommend the nigiri here... hahaha I got the combo and the rolls were fantastic but the fish was extremely solid and tough. No points off for that because everything was such incredible value. At the time I came, there weren't much, if any, seats to dine in here, but it is a fast casual spot that's healthy and packaged extremely well. If you're looking for a great chicken teriyaki, this is the place! The chicken was cooked moist and tasty. And the sauce got the real taste. Salad dressing was the one I've been searching for. The hot miso soup was perfect. It also came with 4 slices of sushi. For $8, you can't go wrong. Went there at their opening time to avoid the lunch hour rush. Ordered the daily special combo C. The food came out fast. I asked for some pickled ginger. They charge 54 cents each. The lady at the counter was nice and accommodating. The place is clean. And lots of parking. An older woman employee yelled at my friend when she got there as she was putting her stuff on a table while waiting for me to arrive. She said to her, "You need to order first"! How rude! Terrible customer service. I should have left right then! Very chintzy with their sauces and even tried to charge $2.00 for a to-go container to a lady who had just finished lunch with her grandchildren and had spent over $30. She said herself that she will never go back! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Is it worth losing a customer over a container?!!! Plus, they don't have the AC on, so they prop the doors open with chairs, which allows flies to come in. We were swatting them away! Not a pleasant experience. Got the California hand roll and Spider roll. I liked it: standard, generous portion of imitation crab in the hand roll, an extra deep fried portion of crab over the roll. Sushi rice was on the sweet side, but I am not complainin'. Presenation was nice for takeout, and came with plenty of pickled ginger and wasabi. Seems reasonably priced at $12 without tax. Shop was homey with seating for at least 30. You can order and sit down, so pretty casual. Service was attentive. Will have to bring others back to try the real sushi. What's not to like with pricing dating back to pre-Covid days? Not sure how they do it but their lunch specials are great. Chicken teriyaki was a little well done but still tasty. Definitely will add this place to my lunch rotation when I'm working at my Buena Park office. Ambiance is okay with tables. Make sure you bus your own table. CONSISTENT QUALITY FOOD This is our 3rd or 4th time coming here. The food is always terrific, hot, or cold if it's supposed to be cold, lol. You can tell the quality of the fish, meats, vegetables and rice is fresh and of high quality. The interior is somewhat small with perhaps seating for 25? Tables & chairs. There was an area sort of taped off. However, I think it was perhaps just done so for housekeeping purposes to limit areas needed to be bussed/cleaned. I was surprised to flip over the back of their menu to discover they also do party platters. Seriously folks! Anyone that is thinking about doing any type of catering, I would suggest this place! My wife found this place some time ago and we've been coming here regularly. I call this the "precovid price restaurant" because the prices here are precovid. There are no other restaurants right now have these prices. Which usually means the food is terrible... and NOPE the food is decent for the price. I keep coming back because I can feed my family under $40 (+tip) AND have food left over. Lot of the items here are under $10 and I love to eat. This place give you lot of food for the price. When I first came here the guy told me that you ordered too much food for your family and he was right. They have decent price for sushi and they taste fresh. It blows my mind why I go to another restraunt when they can make it better here. The atmosphere in the restaurant is nice, they may seat about 30-40 people here. It is a small restaurant in a shopping mall. They have lunch combo A,B and C advertised on window, besides the extensive regular menu. I called for a to-go order and the person who picked up was nice and repeated the order back to me to make sure everything was correct. We ordered the beef bowl, Philadelphia roll, Alaska roll, and crunch roll. However, after we picked it up and opened it at home, we found out that one of the rolls (Philadelphia roll) was replaced with 4 pieces of California roll and 4 pieces spicy tuna roll. If they ran out of something or were unable to fulfill my order, they should have told me over the phone instead of giving wrong items. I just ended up eating it because we hadn't eaten that day and the food itself wasn't bad, but we both ended up stomach sick afterwards even though only one of us ate the sushi. TLDR: They got the order wrong even after repeating the order on the phone and got sick from the food afterwards. read more

Very typical roll, sushi, and teriyaki place. Food isn't anything special, but the price is what makes this place unique. Given current inflation and economic condition, I think the price here is very reasonable. Sushi selection is very limited, and only offers tuna, salmon, albacore, shrimp, and eel, but can't really complain at under $3 for two pieces of sushi. Salmon and albacore were quite good, and better than I expected. Tuna was just ok. Volcano roll was disappointing. I don't know how a typical volcano roll is made, but this one was rather monotone in terms of taste and texture. It was just mushy because it had baked salmon, avocado, and spicy tuna (cooked, not raw). Also tried CA roll, crunch roll, spicy tuna hand roll, and chicken & beef bowl. These were all decent, but again, nothing special. I generally would give three stars for a place like this, but I'm giving an extra star for the price. I have been here twice in one week, and I'm pretty sure I will be coming back frequently if it can maintain its low price. read more

It's really hard to find good sushi and rolls for less than $10 and chicken teriyaki bowls for less than $7 nowadays, but this place just makes it work! Amazing prices and portions are more than generous, I usually eat a lot and could barely finish their teriyaki chicken plate. One thing that I loved is that their chicken wasnt burnt AT ALL! Usually teriyaki places always burn their chicken since there is sugar in the sauce (Flame broiler, Waba, ect.) but the chicken was very soft and tender. The salad had a really good dressing which was better than other places I've been. The only thing I would say I would do different is to get the teriyaki sauce on the side because they drench the rice and chicken a little too much for my liking, but it might fit what you like if you're into the salty and sweet flavor. read more
