They have cool wall art all over the restaurant and nice air conditioning inside which was nice on a hot day! I like how everything's on the ipad where you can order drinks to all foods except sauces you'll need to ask your server which ours was barely around at all. I got spicy mayo & eel sauce on the side as well as sriracha that was the guy accidentally poured into the bowl. I love their ginger & all of their nigiri but wish they give you more on the premium nigiri. You get 2 pieces max for those which sucks. We were checked on once & no one came to refill our waters until we were almost done which I found funny because I saw a few servers refilling other tables near us. In the last 40 minutes of our meal, I ordered 1 salmon lover roll to finish off but the restaurant filled up almost full so I had to wait almost the whole time for it after I asked a server who said it's on the next ticket but then I saw 3 other tables get their food who came long after us so I asked again to get it checked & it came 10 minutes later. They were quick to give us the bill to pay out though but expected better service overall with the amount of workers they had. Overall, quality was good rating 7.8/10 for the food. I presented here last night for dinner and enjoyed my meal for the most part. However, the ordering system has changed from a simple sheet of paper and pencil to a tablet you use yourself. I was a little disappointed with the electronic vs. paper approach, and my orders kept coming out differently in appearance than what the menu featured. In my opinion, part of the dining experience is being catered to, which includes having a server come to take your order--not taking the order yourself. Additionally, I paid slightly over $110 for two all-you-can-eat meals. This price was driven up by an extra $11 charge per person, which included the restaurant's premium and sashimi options. However, even after paying the additional $11 per person, not every item on the menu was included. There were still a few items that required an additional charge. I would have thought that if I'm paying over $50 per person, I would have access to the entire menu. A few final thoughts that left me a little disappointed this time around compared to prior visits: 1. You're only allowed 90 minutes for your visit. This includes the time it takes to bring out each round of food. 2. After you place your order, you're temporarily locked out from ordering additional items. So, be sure you get everything you want with each round of food. 3. Be prepared to pay additional fees for premium and sashimi options, and keep in mind that the upgrade still doesn't include desserts or certain other menu items. 4. If you leave the screen stagnant for too long without adding additional items or placing your order, the tablet will erase your entire selection, and you'll have to start all over again. I would have left a 5 star review prior to this visit, and I really think the food here is phenomenal. It's just the change in the ordering system, the timed dining experience, and the archaic tablet left me with a poorer taste in my mouth. As always, the experience here was good. If you come during dinner time, you may experience a bit of a wait since the waitlist can get pretty long. I did notice that they now have an option to join the waitlist ahead of time instead of having to waitlist in person, which might be more convenient and even cut down the wait time. We always get the Sashimi Premium AYCE, and they still have the iPad/tablet ordering system. There were a few times when some of our orders were missed, but if that happens, you can always call a server over to help, especially if it's a premium item. The sashimi was delicious--nice and thick-cut, fresh-tasting, and had a good chew to it. Our favorite cuts were definitely the belly cuts, as it is a little fattier. I also noticed that they seem to rotate through some of their appetizers and rolls, as the appetizer section has changed compared to the last few times I've been here. There is a great selection of dishes even doing the non-sashimi and I would heavily recommend maxing out your premium sushi dishes like the salmon belly and yellowtail belly. Their ratio of fish to rice was really good, however, there were some rounds where the rice seemed undercooked so it didn't bind together well. Some non-premium dishes that were good were the shishito peppers, seared salmon nigiri, and crispy rice spicy salmon. We were seated outside on the patio, and the service was incredibly bizarre and frustrating. The servers were super quiet, and we constantly kept getting the incorrect orders brought out to us, and lots of missing orders. When we brought this up, one server mentioned that the staff is supposed to be telling us the names of the dishes as they place them at our table--but not a single server actually did this. To make matters worse, one girl serving us sounded completely high and spoke so softly we couldn't hear a word she said, while another male server angrily grabbed the patio door and flung it open right next to us. Worst of all, the hygiene here is a major concern. We found hair on our sushi rolls. Between the completely checked-out, aggressive service and the hair in our food, this was a terrible experience. We were not disappointed with any of the rolls. The capo roll was better than expected. They even have no rice options but the imitation crab is still pretty filling. I wish the food came out a little faster especially because I feel like I get full waiting for food to come out and if I'm doing AYCE, I'm trying to eat as much as I can. I think it might be good to stagger your order because it seemed like if we ordered multiple rolls at once, they didn't come out until they were all prepared so that could have delayed it. Trying out a new all you can eat sushi bar because it had some good reviews and a lot of options, including no rice options and an upgraded ayce sashimi for $11 more. The service was 50/50. Some of the pop working were super helpful and friendly and others, it felt like when they brought you food they practically tossed it on the table or didn't ask if you needed anything else. I'm not sure if it's because everything is ordered from a machine table side. I did appreciate the waiter going over the menu and the limitations on certain items. The appetizers on the menu that I tried were a miss. I had the shumai dumplings and they were horrible. They did not taste like shumai and were mushy. The chicken thigh yakitori was nicely grilled and the sauce had great flavor, but it was greasy. The garlic shrimp was good but it was a total catfish because they looked nothing like the menu I really enjoyed the carpaccio options they had but without the upgraded ayce you're limited to two orders of two pieces only. The fish was fresh and I loved the sauces and garnish they added to the overall flavor. The salmon belly and yellowtail belly nigiri were amazing and I loved that they don't give you a huge chunk of rice with it. I was able to taste the fish. I had a variety of their no rice rolls but in my opinion, a lot of them are one dimensional. I didn't care much for the crab mixture they use in their rolls. It was too sweet and was lacking texture. Even the veggie roll was a let down. It was far from a veggie roll with crunchy fresh veggies, instead it had a glop of avacado, soggy cucumber, and a single soggy piece of asparagus. The ambiance is chill. They have music playing in the background and it's a vibe. There's table, booth, bar, and outdoor seating. They can definitely accommodate a large crowd but I would call ahead to ensure you don't have a crazy wait. This place got pretty crowded as the night went on. This most recent time I came with my parents who are really trying to cut down on rice, so the AYCE sashimi really works out. When we ordered the premium stuff, it came out right away, but the sashimi and other normal rolls literally took more than 10 minutes. The place itself was crowded though we didn't actually need to wait for a table, all the tables were definitely filled up while we waited for our food. It also seemed like we were all waiting together. The service was really slow, though yes they did eventually get to everyone. I usually love going to all-you-can-eat sushi with my group of friends--we're all big sushi lovers and always excited to try new spots. Unfortunately, our experience at Aburi Sushi was by far the worst AYCE sushi experience any of the six of us have ever had. We came in very hungry, but quickly lost our appetite. The salmon tasted extremely fishy and had a strong odor similar to spoiled food. The yellowtail was incredibly chewy--almost like chewing gum. Overall, the texture of nearly every piece of sushi was slimy, fishy, and very difficult to eat. As a group, we were genuinely afraid to keep eating because we were worried about getting sick or food poisoning. Despite barely being able to eat, we still had to pay full price and left the restaurant hungry, which made the experience feel like a complete waste of money. To make matters worse, we had placed orders for about 20 pieces of sushi that never came out. When we checked with the server, we were told there were no pending orders. We then placed additional orders--but shortly afterward, all the sushi came out at once. We were left with an overwhelming amount of food that tasted very bad. We tried switching to non-sushi items just to fill our stomachs. Unfortunately, the ramen broth tasted old, and the smell of the pork chashu was so strong it was inedible. The takoyaki was dry and also tasted old. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. I would not return, as I would be scared of getting sick. My youngest son took me and my husband out for lunch for Father's Day and this was my first time visiting. The service was amazing, the staff were super friendly, fast and checked up on us regularly. It's not too noisy at the restaurant but they have music and the tv going. If you have never been to an AYCE sushi restaurant then this is the place to try. One advice I can give is to make sure to order in increments so you don't end up ordering too much food and make sure you count all your rolls because although we had an amazing experience, about 5 rolls we ordered didn't end up showing up to our table. They have an option for just the AYCE rolls not including the raw fish, but if you love raw fish then I would advise you go for it. Terrible service . It's so hard to find good help these days. Whoever is in management needs to get fired . The kids they are hiring don't have any social skills or how to do their job. Food took long to come out and a lot of our dishes never showed. This store needs to close for a week or so and rehire because it's going downhill along with whoever is in charge and the disrespectful antisocial kids they hired. New management is needed. First time trying this AYCE sushi. Nice big place, with cute decor. Service was excellent. Menu was awesome, with a nice variety of everything. The appetizer's were great, the fresh rolls were excellent, no rice rolls so tasty, and the other individual rolls were so good . I especially liked the sashimi salad! So fresh and delicious. This could have been a 4 out of 5 experience but service was a bit slow considering that we came on a weekday lunch and restaurant was not even half full and there were plenty of staff seen. They also did not acknowledged us right away when we enter when there were several of them at the front. We were also a bit off put by the cleaning detergent/wet towel smell upon entry. Food was great overall for the price. We love the options and the fact that the ayce included carpaccio. None of them was fishy too. We really liked the panda roll for the no rice rolls. However, upon coming home several hours later both of us had very loose stools & the ayce is the only thing we have eaten the whole day. So, not sure if we should come back :( read more
