It's tucked inside the Waterview shopping center and can be easy to miss since it faces perpendicular to the main street/feeder--look for it across from Hopdoddy Burger Bar. Inside, it's a cozy little hole-in-the-wall with dim ambient lighting and a nice, modern vibe. We usually dine in to take advantage of their lunch special--2 rolls with soup or salad for under $13, which is hard to beat. Their cooked rolls are consistently on point. The Miami Heat roll (fried tempura with spicy crab, cream cheese, jalapeño, and eel sauce) is our favorite, along with the classic shrimp tempura roll. Their crab puff appetizer is also one of the best in the area. On top of that, the flavored teas--like ginger peach or blueberry hibiscus--pair really well with the food. They had a lunch special as well and both rolls came with a salad or soup minus the eggroll. The spot is in my neighborhood and I love that they have nice sushi rolls! So I go to places and do reviews and this place is a 10 out of 10. My weather was a little nonchalant, but I do understand sometimes people are just not sociable. I will most definitely comeback all the time. lol . Everything was fresh . The wine called plum wine was so good. He gave me a little buzz just what I needed. Soup was 8.5 out of 10. This place did not disappoint! Our first time dropping in and we were pleasantly surprised by the speed of service and the delicious meal. Honestly I was not expecting much from this newer opening in the Aliana area but do not sleep on this place! We had kids chicken Katsu w fried rice, kids chicken nuggets and fries (separate orders for each) and 3 rolls: Hot Mama, The One, and Nemo. The Nemo was the only fresh roll while the rest was cooked. My personal favorite was the Hot Mama, literally melted in my mouth w the crispy tempura batter and the cream cheese w spicy salmon filling (can you use the "melt in your mouth" phrase about sushi?). The other rolls were also very good-fresh and tasty. Presentation of the food was on point. The kids chicken nuggets fries, chicken katsu and kids fried rice was delicious as well. The katsu was so crispy and delicious would definitely order this again as an adult meal! We also enjoyed our drinks: sake bombs w Japanese beer, lychee martini and mango lover. The lychee martini was very well endowed w alcohol but still tasted great. They also offer w variety of Japanese sodas for the kids. Mine really enjoyed his. I use to pass this restaurant when it was being built, and I always wanted to try it! It's been up and running for awhile, so I thought it would be perfect to try it out! First impressions: It's in a really good area! The area has torchys and a wine restaurant as well! Walking into Fuji sushi, it's a nice establishment and there were plenty of tables/booths. Service: Service was good! Our food came out pretty fast as well, and we ordered a lot! Food: The fried rice was bomb, tho it was just a small portion. Shumai and crab puffs were also really good and I would definitely get them again. The ramen wasn't the best, but it's obviously not a ramen place so we understood. Sashimi - yellowtail and pepper tuna, presentation was so beautiful that the lady at the next table commented on how lovely it looked. The sashimi came out on top of a bowl of ice with flowers in it for decoration. The pieces of sashimi were thick, fresh and delicious. The yellowtail melted in your mouth and the pepper tuna was so flavorful. We also got the Sumo roll (our favorite). It's a warm roll that is deep fried. The spicy couple was also delicious. The sushi pieces are big and worth the money. Service was excellent. Our server explained what each item was as she placed it on the table. We ordered takeout via Door Dash because it's Friday the 13th and who wants to risk being out?...just kidding, we're just too lazy to go out. Anywho! So we ordered the Shumai (steamed), Shaggy Dog, King Lobster Roll, and the Combination Fried Rice. The shumai were sorta small and reminded me of the frozen ones I buy from the grocery store. The Shaggy Dog has cream cheese which I am not used to at all and I can't really taste the lobster in the King Lobster Roll. The fried rice has no veggies at all. My friend and I ordered the Sex on Beach roll, Nemo roll, Philadelphia roll and the Miami heat. All rolls were delicious in my opinion and were visually pleasing. My personal favorite would have to be the Sex on Beach. I noticed at other sushi restaurants, the rolls would be too small or they would be arranged messily, but here, the presentation is impeccable. There is a perfect ratio of rice to filling (not too much rice which I like). They don't skimp out on the amount fish -- the pieces they put in the roll are satisfyingly fatty and thick. The ingredients are all relatively fresh, aside from a few pieces of extra fishy tasting salmon. The only improvement I'd suggest is to season the rice more. Overall though, the sushi here is solid, and I would be happy to visit here again. The server is quick and attentive, and I enjoyed the calm ambiance of the restaurant. read more

Not only did they get my order wrong and as a apology they gave me the worst dessert "Fried Ice Cream". Do not order Ramen at all for take out - only if you dine in cause it comes in pieces and does not look like Ramen at all at first. The Shaggy Dog we had was not good at all. Gyoza, Egg/Pork rolls and the combination fried rice were okay were okay. As for the cheesecake, its a rip off. First time trying this place for delivery via DoorDash. Overall food was decent and well presented. Each roll has 8-10 pieces and they were good. We got the Flaming Lips roll and State Hwy 249 roll, combo rice, soup and then kids meal. We also tried the Monkey Brain appetizer. The appetizer tasted okay, it was a little mushy and hard to eat, the sauce was good but being delivery the food sat in the sauce and made the crunch soggy which then made it hard to pick up. By the time it got to us the avocado was darkened which made it look a little less appetizing. The rolls were good, I preferred the Flamjng Lips one overall. My husband said the combo rice was good and the servicing size meant we had some left for tomorrow. We ordered two Bento Boxes with an additional order of Veggie Fried Rice. We were in the mood for Japanese and these guys are very close to us. The service was fast, and friendly. The rolls were tasty and fresh. The meat was cooked right. I felt like the rice could have had a bit more flavor, but adding just a little bit additional soy seemed to do the trick. For the main course my parents order the Tonkatsu Ramen which is their favorite and then a few different sushi options to share. Our favorites are the Nemo, Spicy Couple and the Lone Star roll to name a few. We have ordered to go from their lunch menu which you have the option to pick 2 rolls with a soup of choice or salad or 3 rolls with soup of choice or salad. We always do the 3 roll options with miso soup. For that order we go with spicy salmon, spicy tuna and the Mexican roll.
