I've definitely had better vegetarian ramen elsewhere. The broth was okay to me (3.5/5) and definitely very savory. The noodles were more mushy than bouncy. Also, the toppings were very dull as everything was just soft and bland. Adding some crispy garlic or a similar ingredient could have really enhanced the dish with some texture. I decided to try ramen from this spot since it's conveniently close to my place. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The ramen lacked both flavor and freshness -- the broth was bland, and the noodles and toppings didn't seem freshly prepared. In fact, the food gave the impression that it had been sitting around for a while, which really took away from what should have been a comforting meal. We did a pickup order during the early evening, so I had expected the food to be at its best at that time. Sadly, the quality made me wonder about their hygiene and food handling standards. After making sure no pork ingredient, that it was a 100% tofu only inside, including corn and spinach leaf. I like a creamy savory broth and thin bouncy noodles. So this place didn't quite hit it for me for ramen. I got the noodle + starter set. The noodles were the medium thick way kind. The soup was salty, but lacked any creaminess that I prefer or savory bone broth flavor. The brisket in the brisket ramen was good, but the broth was kind of nasty. I dont know how to describe it...brisket water? It had the brisket flavor, but was watery and tasted like brisket soaked in it without any other additional seasoning. It was awful enough that i left it even with my cheap finish everything or you wasted your money mentality. I liked their fresh milk green tea, but it was definitely more ice than tea and I wish there was more milk to it. I personally feel the ramen burger was the highlight if this restaurant. On the smaller size and I could imagine it gets packed at their peak hours. We got the basil chicken poppers and the Takoyaki for apps. They both would be something I would get again. The Takoyaki is a traditional Japanese street food. The chewy octopus complements the soft doughiness of the exterior. It is served with a sweet okonomi sauce and a spicy mayo. It is topped off with savory smoked bonito flakes. It is unlike anything else that I have tasted before. The basil chicken app seems so boring but the flavors are really complex. My son got the pork ramen burger which was so inventive. They take the ramen noodles and make them into the buns by frying them to a crunchy texture. The pork belly is not fatty like most restaurants give you and it was a good thick portion with an additive smoky flavor. It does have a spicy mayo and spinach and corn on it as well. The black garlic ramen was amazing!! The broth was so flavorful and had an amazing mouthfeel. They used the same pork in the soup as on the burger. The soft boiled egg was cooked perfectly and the noodles were delicious. My son loved the cool wood spoon that hung on the side of the bowl of the soup. Both broths were rich in flavor and they had good portion sizes. Corn, egg, seaweed came with each ramen and I assembled it at home. The egg was ok - not runny enough, but it was good. The have combo specials where you can order an appetizer along with a ramen, which is a pretty good deal. The restaurant has good ambiance, but they are not seating customers at this time. For the main course, I ordered the Tonkotsu miso spicy with smoked pork belly. I honestly wished I ordered the ramen with regular pork belly instead, since the smoky flavor of the pork overpowered the flavor of the broth too much.
