Located in a strip center, but don't let this hole in the wall fool you. *Ambiance: Dim lighting. Fine for families, college kids or date night. This is a casual place, it's not fancy by any means. Plenty of booths if you like comfort. Decor is lacking, but people come here for the good food & great prices. *Most the Hibachi/Teryaki Dinners are $10-13. Most sushi ranges from $6-12. The only complaint I have, which is why I knocked off a star, is I ordered a side of veggies & it was $4.95 & the tiniest side ever. The dinner was pleasant and all, but while we were checking out, the waiter said to me "For Chinese, we've already included 18% tips in the bill." What was that??! Why aimed at Chinese? And it appeared on the bill that there's still a place to put in tips. If I didn't put too much attention I might be charged twice for the tips. I then asked him to deduct the extra charged money from the bill so I can tip them by myself. Please pay extra attention on what appears on your bill while you are checking out. We love Fuji! Great service and sushi. This is our go-to sushi place. I love the fried sushi and their rice is good too.

My kids really like this place but I am not sure why. I would say the teriyaki box is a decent deal at $12.95 because it's a lot of food. We all do Enjoy the ginger salad. I think the sushi is average. Tonight I also ordered the chicken fried rice and basically is was tiny bits of chicken tiny bits of onion with flavorless rice. Would not order it again. So upset with Fuji right now. First off, if you look online at their menu, don't expect that to be the price. Their online formats pricing are on average $3 cheaper then they actually charge you. Additionally, It says the lunch special gets a soup or salad.... WRONG... they give you nothing. GOOD FOOD. HORRIBLE TREATMENT! I called in an order but was told it was "special" because I requested soy paper instead of seaweed. I was also informed about an additional $2.00 fee per roll but I didn't care...the Shaggy Dog is good! Stuff happens, I had to cancel my order. I actually had the courtesy to call the restaurant and apologize. A manager named "Anna" calls me back to tell me that I HAVE TO come in to pick up my order because they had already made the food. Not only did she call to tell me to inform me of what I MUST DO, she also told me not to call back and hung up in my face! I called the restaurant and ask to have the name of the manager who called. The young lady on the phone said it was her...Anna. I ask to speak with the manager she said she was the manager too. By the way, Anna also owns Fuji. The food is great, I'm even will to pay an additional $2.00 per roll for something that use to be complementary. I'm not willing to be disrespected and harassed. I'm about to go into Fuji's to make sure that I have the correct information for this complaint letter. The way the situation is handled will determine the update to my review. read more

The breading on the shrimp and vegetable tempura are layers you can peel off. The portions are miserably tiny. You can see most of the bottom of the tray and hardly any food. The hibachi steak was the only thing that not terrible but the meat was very dry. You had to drown it in sauce to get anything out of it. Just stick with the sushi. read more

Meh. I make better vegetable sushi than what I got here, not to mention all they had that was vegetarian in terms of sushi was the "viggi" roll and the cucumber roll. Went here with a friend and colleague and he said his sashimi tasted fishy - but then again, this is Auburn, and I dunno where you could be expecting to get fresh fish. The waiter was nice, but the credit card machine went down. I never carry cash, so I was very fortunate my friend had cash on him, otherwise I don't know what we would have done. We also had to ask a couple of times before the waiter remembered to bring us water. Ordered online via a third party that delivers through Uber Eats. I called the third party to confirm order was received and would be delivered. They confirmed. I called the restaurant a hour prior to closing for lunch and she says they will cancel because they are closed (once again I ordered a hour prior to closing). The Uber driver was there before 2pm (or at least right at and they don't close until 2:30pm) and the restaurant refused to start cooking the order. I put the company I ordered the food through and the restaurant I ordered from on a three way call and the restaurant lied about receiving the order, and about a driver not confirming the order. The Uber driver called me from the restaurant and confirmed the order wasn't started. Please do not order to go food from this restaurant. It's a very strong possibility the order won't be fulfilled. They must have a high no show rate and are afraid to prepare orders ahead of time (even when pre paid for) and rather inconvenience the customer and delivery driver. UNACCEPTABLE!! read more

Fuji is a very good place to get good food without having to spend a lot. The service is good and the servers bring your food fast. This is the best place to get Asian food around auburn, but the food is not "oh wow best good I've ever had". I recommend getting either the teriyaki chicken or fried rice.
