    Salted Caramel Cheesecake! HEAVEN!!!

Yo! Big Mike's is awesome and so much fun! Great spot to eat all the things! Their portions are quite hearty, so keep that in mind! They do not mess around, with their steaks! Everything is perfectly tender, even the medium well cooked ones! (I know....I know...don't come for me! :P lol) CAROLINE, the bartender, is your gal and is great about recommending drinks and food! Even though they ran out of their caramel cake, their salted caramel cheesecake still hit the SPOT!!! Cheers!!!

First time here, but I had my usual steakhouse order of a filet medium with loaded potato and salad with ranch. While on the pricey side of $48, the filet was exceptional. Well cooked , juicy and VERY tender, just as a good filet should be. And while not meat, the salad and bread were excellent as well. I overshot my meal budget on this trip, but it was worth it this time. I'd love to bring family here on a special night out when next in Auburn.

Traveling from Aiken back home to Destin, FL and thought I'd get a good meal in tonight instead of junk food. Unfortunately, my food was terrible! The steamed broccoli was cold as if it had been microwaved and the fries were soggy and stale. Not the same restaurant I remember just months ago. After fighting to eat the steak, I cut into a fourth of the steak that was not edible. I have provided a picture for your review and consideration. I only had water with my meal and it was listed for about $45. The manager comped me for the meal and with a final tip of six dollars my bill was $43. I understand restaurants have bad days, but there was just too much wrong with my meal for me to just let this slide.

We came after the third quarter of the Auburn home game and it was a friendly place to retreat to after an unexpected Auburn loss. The staff was friendly. We were told a 20-30 minute wait, but it seemed likely only 15 or less. There is a bar with Tv screens where you can wait, but I had two kids who were underage, so did not choose that route. You receive a pager, so even if you decide to wait outside, it will be easy to know when your table is ready. They only seat parties that are all physically there. My daughter really enjoys the mozzarella cheese wedges which are fried and have a delicious marinara dipping sauce. My brother and son shared a ribeye with two sides. I got the grilled shrimp salad which was very flavorful, and which I would recommend if you like shrimp and you like salad, lol. My daughter got the teriyaki chicken with two sides, which is the only dish I would not recommend, as the chicken was too dry according to her. They also served us rolls with a cinnamon butter which was delightful. The decorations are on the sparse side, and the tables are covered with brown butcher table, so it is a casual place, but affordable! If you pay with cash, you get a 2.5% discount, which I will remember the second time I come! The prices listed on the menu are for paying with credit card. Overall, it was a lovely experience on a disappointing football night, so it helped cement the evening with a positive, uplifting meal!

Very good food and service. My wife and I like ordering the steak for two with a salad and baked potato.

Good wine selection. But curious if you can cook a steak medium, why not the pork ribeye?

Tucked into Auburn's dining scene with an upscale-casual pub charm, it's become our daughter's favorite spot to "take us" when we visit--which tells you everything you need to know. After a semester fueled by ramen and an alarming quantity of Chick-fil-A, she heads straight for the spicy penne crowned with perfectly cooked filet medallions. A wise choice. They don't take reservations, and yes, you may linger outside awhile on a busy night. Stay. It's worth it. For those of us with Gulf Coast roots, the menu reads like a love letter: blackened catfish done right, crispy crawfish tails, and cheese-laced grits that feel like a warm welcome home. The fried green tomatoes are a standout--golden, crisp, topped with grilled shrimp, and finished with a balsamic glaze that somehow works beautifully, even if it strays from tradition. The shrimp and grits, the catfish, the pasta--all hits. Cheesecake for dessert, especially if you're loyal to a graham cracker crust, is non-negotiable. Dim, cozy, a little whimsical (don't skip art in the hallway to the bathroom), and staffed by people who seem genuinely happy you're there. We'll be back. Often. --Chance & Becky *All Ahead Slow*

Fried green tomatoes- wasn't the biggest fan of pimento cheese, but if that's your thing I'm sure it would have been delicious. I had the strawberry / spinach salad. It was decent but a little too much dressing on parts and a bit dry in others. The biscuits were a star of the other meal. Sadly, no lattes... the only other bummer was that the waiter forgot my cocktail. He apologized when I asked for it... I know accidents happen

I believe it effected some of the flavors of foods that were boiled in it, too. Gnocchi had some of the same off flavor. In addition, some of the flavors just feel way out of whack for totally unrelated reasons. Sauce that the duck came in was thin and overwhelmed by honey. The risotto it was served with seems like it should be rich and homey. But despite a crazy amount of added dairy still tasted thin and flat. Can't tell you why. Wonky seasoning? None of the dishes reflected any familiarity with acid to lighten or balance a dish. Fried green tomatoes were pretty mid despite a quality remoulade and a bunch of pimento cheese. Ingredients seem like they're decent quality. Desserts are legitimately top notch. Everyone recommends the peanut butter pie. And it is excellent, though pretty obviously not long out of the freezer. The affogato Is legitimately fantastic. And I'm not even talking about the pageantry of dumping the espresso on the salt ice cream. The combo is legitimately satisfying, like a well-rounded creamy candy. The plates are funky and cool and beautiful. The staff all seem like they're 19, attractive, and gregarious.

She made sure we were taken care of, was very clear and knowledgeable about the menu, gave incredible recommendations, and was also thoughtful in celebrating my boyfriend's promotion to Captain in the Army! The ambiance is really sweet. Whether you're here on a date, catching up with friends over a nice meal, in the mood to watch some sports, or celebrating a special occasion, this is your place! There's a sweet vibe going on with some music in the back, but it's not too loud where you can't hear your own conversations at the table. The food? Chef's kiss. They have a rotating menu, I think depending on the season/time of year, but they have some consistent all-year-round items on the menu. I first came here on Valentine's weekend with my boyfriend, and absolutely loved it. Couldn't stop thinking about their truffle parm fries, nor their milk and cookies- finger licking good. This time around, we got the Farmer's Daughter (which made my usually anti-veggie boyfriend absolutely love btw), half-dozen Gulf Coast oysters, and fall-off-the-bone lamb shanks. This is the kind of place you go to where you won't be able to find these dishes just anywhere. It's uniquely delicious, and I genuinely think you can't go wrong with what you choose! Let me start by saying the building is beautiful and the atmosphere feels like a nice restaurant. Also, the cocktail menu was definitely curated by someone who knows what they are doing. The appetizer Barrotta cheese was the best part of the evening. With that being said, the entrees were lackluster and small. Our food came out lukewarm at best and honestly seemed like not a lot of thought went into them. I know that this restaurant is supposed to be upscale, but I don't think I should pay 55$ per persons meal and still leave hungry. Also, the staff needs training. The whole time it felt like they were concerned with fast turn over and nothing else. Part of upscale dining is that the price of food and quality of service is more important than turn over time. Generally speaking I will not be back to eat here again.
