Super good food and always fresh. I would recommend going for their "happy hour" 3-5pm Monday through Friday. You get buy two get one free on regular and speciality sushi rolls. The restaurant itself is in a very convenient location in Tiger Town and we're able to sit down and grab something to eat when we need a break from shopping. There's plenty of parking as well so that's never an issue! When you walk in, the restaurant is very open and clean. Service has always been better during the day time vs when I went at night. For example, tonight although it was slow while my daughter and I were dining in, we were given our food first without silverware. After being given our food, we were not checked up on and drinks were not filled. I had to wave the waiter down for our check let alone getting a refill. During the day, service is definitely much better even when it's busy but still a hit or miss. Food is definitely good especially when you're dining in! My go to meal here is the Shrimp Yaki Udon and their TNT roll. Their hibachi is also pretty good! I've had their steak and chicken hibachi to go and it was not the most tender but it was probably because I ordered it to go. It's definitely worth checking out! read more

This was the best Japanese Auburn/Opelika has to offer. I've visited many spots in the area and this one rises above them all. My group order scallop and shrimp hibachis, clear soup, and sushi. We shared everything and agreed on the impeccable quality. They were nice on the phone when ordering and when I arrived a little early to pick up the order. I loved how they allowed us to customize our meals. They do not do the show of cooking in front of you but that cuts down on time you have to wait to get your food. Let me start by saying I do like this restaurant. We have eaten here twice now and spent a lot of money both times so that we could try a variety of dishes. It is located in Tigertown across from Starbucks so very easy access to this location. The sushi is good. We have had the hurricane, pacific, sexy and spider rolls. All are good and expected prices but none are memorable. The Hurricane roll is crawfish and there was no distinct crawfish flavor at all. We tried hibachi, the Takoyaki Special ($34!) which is scallops, shrimp and lobster. This was terrible! The seafood was so overcooked it tasted like extremely salted rubber. We have also had the noodle dishes yaki udon and pad thai. In general these are good especially the yaki udon, the kids enjoyed it. However, I noticed aside from the type of noodle used, they are essentially the same entree. Same vegetable mix (also in hibachi), same sauce. Traditional pad thai does not have vegetables and has distinct tamarind and fish sauce flavor which this pad thai did not. The beef in the pad thai was also cooked so long it was too dry to chew. I also noticed the yum yum sauce and the salad dressing are essentially the same minus the addition of ginger for the salad dressing. So in summary, food is good but not exciting. Preparation and execution of food needs to be more thought out. Please figure out a way to not overcook your proteins! Flavors need to be elevated a lot more. I would go back for the yaki udon but nothing else; a little disappointing for such a vast menu. read more

The worst restaurant food I have ever had. Ordered Pad Thai with chicken. The chicken was like cardboard- dry, flavorless and unchewable. I was totally surprised that they would be unaware of the quality of the dish ingredients to this extent. The noodles were dry and lifeless- drowning in soy sauce and sugar. It was without question the worst! I rarely review. As someone who has worked in healthcare for 30 years, I understand sometimes you have to just let things go and move on. In this instance, when this is what you do, what you advertise - how you make your living, I can not. Hopefully, they will figure out how to improve on this dish :(( read more
