I love strawberries. And I love hood strawberries the most, and the only place I can get them is Fuji Farms. Well I'm sure there's other fruit stands but for me it's Fuji. I only need a notice of when the hoods come in. I missed almost 2 weeks last year and I was not happy. My fault though that that's why I'm looking early. read more

Kid working the register was totally disrespectful to my husband as he walked away. All because we couldn't decide (and there was no one else in the fruit stand at that time.) Kid didn't realize that I was facing him and saw him do it. We were nothing but nice. So tired of crappy customer service. Don't waste your money here. read more

Just spent $35 dollars on a box of produce: berries, greenbeans and nectarines. Berries went straight to the compost bin, beans were fresh and nectarines were harder than rocks. Go elsewhere. read more

Well sadly to say this little fruit stand was nothing! I did go later in afternoon but they were to be open another hour or so the young lady said behind the register.There the stands were not even stocked half full. For me disappointing, I really felt underwhelmed and just wanted to do a U turn...but once there I felt obliged to buy. I was disappointed and won't be returning. read more

Last year we missed out on the best strawberries on earth because unseasonably warm weather made them ripen 3 weeks earlier than we realized. So we marked our calendars to never miss out again. Yesterday I got the tickler in my calendar program, so checked this morning at 9am and found Fujii Farms had the goods! Ripe, sweet, juicy as ever. Got home and started cranking out the strawberry freezer jam using 2 flats of berries that had 0 bad ones. Remarkable since they traveled in a pretty warm car all the way to Seattle. Can't wait to get some more of these Hoods and possibly try the Shuksans which we understand make even better jam. read more

Some of people the strawberries in the half flat I purchased were mildewed and some picked very green. Doesn't make me want to make another trip out there. read more

Wow. Holy hell. These were absolutely the WORST strawberries I've ever had. Hands down. We pulled over on opening day (June 3) and there were a line of folks buying strawberries. I'm all about supporting and buying local so I said what the hell, I'll buy half a flat. They looked beautiful but looks can be deceiving. Got home and tried one with the wife and we both immediately spit it out. I asked if she had washed these and she said of course. We tried another one and same thing; mushy with a chemical after taste. No matter how much we washed these, the chemical flavor wouldn't go away. We even dug to the bottom of this half flat just to make sure we weren't crazy and same thing. $13 wasted. I tried to call the number to ask for a refund but it was a fax line. Gave my hermit crab a couple of these gnar berries and composted the rest. read more

Disagree with other reviews. I bought strawberries from stand in Gresham. They were the sweetest, freshest I have ever eaten! Perfection!

Great prices, convenient, and friendly staff. Just make sure you check the berries because I've come home and found mold in the berries a few times. read more

After driving past this stand everyday, I decided to stop by and purchase a pint of blackberries. The next morning, I went to get some to put in my cereal, and lo and behold, I found a little white worm squiggling around in it. "That's okay" I thought, running the berries under the water, and thinking it was just one. But as I was patting them down with a paper towel, I noticed at least 30 of them, riggling all around the outside and insides of the blackberries. I called to complain, whereas, I was offered a credit. I passed of course. I guess you get that and more, when you buy organic! read more

I tried both their stands today looking for 2 full flats of berries to make jam. Their berries looked terrible and I wasn't able to buy any. The "good" flats were 1/2 moldy berries and the "day old" slightly cheaper flats were 95% unusable. When I asked when they were picked and if they would get fresh berries in tomorrow, I was told these berries were pick this morning... If so, they should have left most of them in the field because they waited too long to pick them. Not going back. Wish I could have supported a local business, but I need to get usable food for my $. read more

I drove from SW Portland to Troutdale to get Hood strawberries because my wife used to pick berries for this farm during the summers in the 60's and 70's. I bought a "case" (12 boxes) and we are cutting them and freezing them tonight. A good 20% of the berries are rotten. The good ones are good, but there are far too many bad ones. A lesson learned - when you u-pick, you control the berries you bring home, not someone else. read more

I picked berries for this farm 45 years ago and have bought my berries from them every year since I married 41 years this august so far this year i have done strawberry and raspberry jam plan to do marionberry and blackberry could not imagine buying my berries from anyone else. and they do take debit now... read more
