I've been going to Bella Organic for years. While I love this farm and its store, I wish the animals were better cared for. Their pen is small for the number of animals in it and the pen gets incredibly wet and muddy in the winter. We came the first weekend they were open for their pumpkin season and had a blast. We were the first ones to go out to their patch and it was assume to pick out our pumpkins, search through the patch and just enjoy the weather/season. We of course visited the store and the petting zoo. The pigs at the petting zoo were great and the staff running it was amazing to speak to. The corn maize looked awesome but neither of us were wanting to go through it. Bella Organic has a little bit for everyone which made this place a hit for us. Such a fun experience with the family! After getting into Portland decided to stop on our way back to St Helens to come pick some berries. The 4 of us shared a bucket and spent about 20 mins picking blueberries until we were too tired from the heat. Did have to wait a bit for the shuttle to pick us back up but prices were great for our lot of blueberries and they had a cute market inside with more fresh produce and products. I am giving 5 stars due to the haunted maze and food. I have been going to this haunted maze every year for around 10 years now. It's so scary and so fun...definitely don't recommend for people who don't like jump scares. I'd caution from allowing teens and younger to go...one year, a teen boy with his friends was clutching onto my bf, crying in fear and hiding behind us (I was sad for him). I've been to multiple "haunted" Halloween activities in the Portland area and this one is my favorite. Price has gone up a ton in the last 10 years... I just paid $38 per person (tickets purchased online) and hope the increase has gone towards paying their actors more...they certainly deserve it. A farm on Sauvie Island. We came here for the sunflower festival and it was tall and all different color sunflowers. It was nice to walk through. You get 2 stems with your admission which was $10, and then $3-$5 per stem after that. They had a produce market which had all local product. I actually bought a bag of coffee too can't wait to try. Staff was super nice. They had some food, there was face painting, corn maze and even duck racing. Also some farm animals. For the fall they have the pumpkin patch and it's very busy and popular. read more

My cousins took us here during our Portland visit to them. It was actually super fun! I liked how admission is free, then you pay to do corn maze or whatever you'd like. The tractor ride to the pumpkin patch area is free! The corn maze was fun and had different variety of games you can choose from. A lot of different groups were playing that Saturday and it wasn't too difficult to find our way back. They also have some fall food like corn on the cob, apple cider (bottled cold) and hot, Elephant ear fried dough dessert, and more. I believe it's cash only for most food and activities. We did come later in the day, so I'm not sure if they had live music or entertainment earlier but that would be the cherry on top! I like to come here each fall for the organic pumpkins, apples cider and pies. These are sold in the store. The farm is considered large with lots of pumpkins and other fruits in the summer. They have food stalls. Cash only for the food stall. Credit card accepted in the store. I support cash only, especially for smaller business - otherwise credit card companies makes the commissions. Each year the price has been going up so I hope the prices stops going up, or at least not so steeply. I took off a star because the strawberry u-pick was terrible. I went in 2023 and they barely had any strawberries left and what they did have were tiny ones with large seeds on them. I couldn't even fill up a regular 1/4 quart container and what I did pay for was too small and flavorless. You have to pay to go in to pick and pay for the containers. It was a waste of time to drive out to the farm, then walk out to the fields in the hot sun for nothing. They really shouldn't have advertised or even took people's money for the picking at that point. read more

No matter the season, I always have a fantastic time at Bella Organic. But the fall is where they really shine - which is a big deal since summer there is gorgeous and full of delicious organic fruit. I just came back from the haunted maze and was exhaustedly entertained. They had a performer in the maze who was creeping along on the ground in a backbend before standing upright exactly behind me. My favorite actor was the corn head guy whose kernels merged into horrific messed up teeth the closer it got to his mouth. I wont even mention the roving chainsaw fellows who chase you around and who you can hear alongside terrifying screams somewhere in the maze. Anyway - great stuff. Well worth the price. I also got fresh cider, a kombucha squash and ate a delicious chicken wrap. Bella also gives a ton of funds back to their community and schools. Their annual corn maze design changes every year and are so on point. This yearʻs was "Human Rights for All". I canʻt love this place enough. Highly recommend. read more

They have a bunch of snack items, beer, wine and a great outdoor eating area which is perfect in the late spring and summer months. The grill is open limited hours and has some pretty good food. They have goats you can purchase food and feed for $1 per little tiny cup. Nice friendly employees. Today we went back and they had blueberries. My girlfriend and I attended the haunted corn maze on the last day it was open. It was muddy, but nothing we couldn't manage in our street shoes. The service was good. One of the scarers was kind enough to take a picture of us with another scarer when we asked. When it comes to the actual haunted part of the haunted corn maze, I would say it doesn't stand out much. There were a couple good scares but I didn't feel the terror that I was hoping for. There were around 6-8 "haunted" shed like structures we would walk through occasionally through the maze. A lot of them had predictable scares inside and were a little bit disappointing. There was a man with a chainsaw that chased my girlfriend around and it was pretty entertaining. The corn maze itself was a little disappointing. I was hoping for a longer, more intricate maze, but was dissatisfied when there were barely any other paths you could take to try to get lost and if there was it was usually just a loop that connected up with the rest of the maze. After the corn maze we purchased two apple ciders and an elephant ear. I was initially excited to purchase the elephant year because they offered the ability to add toppings to it and I had never seen that before. However when I went to order they informed me that they were not offering toppings. The elephant ear met my expectations but the apple cider was nothing exceptional. Also it is important to note that they only accept cash which could be a major inconvenience. Overall, the haunted maze was an ok experience if not a little overpriced. read more

We checked the online growing & availability calendar and it's Heirloom tomato time at Bella Organic Farm and we didn't want to miss out this year. It's also the end of blueberry season so we wanted to get in on that too. We ended up purchasing a case of tomatoes, 2 boxes of blueberries, some fabulous purple garlic and beautiful fresh ginger. Well worth the trip!!! A beautiful ride out to Sauvie Island on a beautiful sunny day. It was a little crowded for a Thursday and lots of people with their kids in tow, were there for U-pick. The Farm store and the Courtyard (food & drink) were both open. We thought about getting a snack at the Courtyard but didn't see much that interested us but they had burgers, hot dogs, fries, etc. Some of the better options like falafel, hummus, and gyros are only available part of the season, so we'll try again in the Fall when we come to pick out our pumpkins and try the caramel apples. The beer, wine and cider looked tempting but the kids running all over the place kinda quashed any idea of relaxing at a picnic table. Bella Organic Farm is actually one of a few farms out on the island and definitely worth a visit. In addition to all the fresh local veggies & fruit, the Farm Store also has fresh made pies, candies, local nuts, jams, honey, BBQ sauce, jars of pickled veggies, salad dressing, plus wine and cider. For the kids, there's rowdy barnyard gang that includes little goats, pigs, sheep, and a few brave chickens. Really cute to watch. Visiting the pumpkin patch in Fall is my favorite. Wonderful farm on Sauvie Island with activities throughout the year! The Market, which is located in barm painted black with bright sunflowers, produce and Bella Organic products painted on the walls. It's vibrant and beautiful and definitely catches your eye. And of course it makes the perfect, colorful, selfie backdrop! The market is open all year long and is stocked with fresh organic produce plus a huge variety of items made from their products. Jams, BBQ sauce, salad dressing, pickled veggies, chocolate covered hazelnuts, hard cider, wine and lots of gorgeous farmer market baskets everywhere. Lots of frozen berries and pies plus freshly baked berry pies in individual and large sizes. Definitely pick one up, the Marionberry is my fave. Make sure to get one of their giant freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, too! Located next to the Market is a pen with piglets, frisky goats, and sheep who love being fed. While meant for the kiddies, aren't we all a little kid at heart? I spent a significant amount of time just smiling over the antics of these adorable barn animals, especially the goats. Spring kicks off with u-pick strawberries including the illustrious Hoods. It's fun to wander the strawberry fields and pick your own but the biggest and best berries seem to be in the pints and flats that have been picked and available for purchase in the Market. The summer brings on the blueberries, the bushes loaded with sweet berries. During Covid, they provide masks and gloves. As with the strawberries, you pay $4 for these items, a wristband and a bucket that you keep. The $4 then goes towards the price of the berries you pick, which gets weighed when you return from the fields. When the leaves start turning and Sauvie Island is basked in shades of yellow, red and orange, there is no better place to be on a Fall day. Bella's has a corn maze, pumpkin patch, apples and cider and other fun activities. On a sunny Autumn day it does get crowded, but that's part of the fun. Located just a few miles from the Sauvie Island Bridge, and just 20 minutes from downtown Portland, it's an easy and nice ride to a serene place that is so vastly different from Portland. This is not The Pumpkin Patch on Sauvie Island. I think many come here thinking that it is but you need to drive about a .25 mile down the road. I hate to do this to a hard working farmer but this was not a Carnival or County Fair. But expect to pay those kind of prices. The food was all pre made nothing made to order. So if you want a burger and who knows how long it has been sitting there stacked up high along with the gyros and fries be ready to pay $10. Most everything was about $10 along with the drinks and corn maze. The drinks were either too sweet (cider) or more on the bitter (IPA) side. There were better prices at "The Pumpkin Patch" probably about a few dollars cheaper and a lot more food options. I was surprised that you had to pay $10 to use a wagon to get your pumpkins. I mean the pumpkins are already pretty spendy. I picked out 2 medium, 1 small and 2 tiny for $23. I heard the haunted house was a joke so good thing I passed up on that. They did have a tractor ride that took you out to get your pumpkins but I am not sure if they charge for that ride. read more

I think the first hour is free but we grabbed a cart in the beginning and ended up staying awhile with the corn maze, etc. I liked their market. They had ready to make pies as well as already baked marionberry pies. Lots of squash!! Loved al of the variety of delicata, turban, buttercup and so many more. We came on a Saturday for the pumpkin patch. It was really fun. Pumpkins were decently priced. We rode on the cow train ($3) and that was really fun. They also had a regular corn maze that is over 3 miles long. We ordered corn dogs, corn on the cob, and wine. The corn dog and corn was delicious. We had so much fun getting our pumpkins! This is such a lively and welcoming environment. I loved hunting to find the best pumpkins. They also have unique pumpkins in the patches like the lumpy ones and white ones. We ended up with three pumpkins! We had such a blast here, that it was filled with a couple of firsts. It was our first time doing a corn maze, which we loved. We enjoyed how they turned it into a cute murder mystery you had to solve but collecting hidden clues. We were told it would take exactly an hour, which it did.  We took advantage of the free hayride. It was short, but it was free, and our first time, so no complaints here. It also doubled as transportation to the U-Pick Pumpkin Patch should you want to pick your own pumpkin. It was muddy on the day we went, so we just rode around. We bought corn from the food stand, which was fresh and delicious. We checked out the animals, and the store. It was a great half day adventure. I would love to return one day, and do the haunted corn maze. That sounded like a blast. The only thing I didn't like was how all the staff had tip jars. Why would you tip, the person selling you tickets, or the cashier. You don't tip your cashier at Safeway, why would you tip them here. This makes me think, they are not paying their staff a reasonable salary which is concerning. read more

We are very fortunate here in the PNW, to experience the magic of the most superior of seasons! The warm, fading September sun, clear blue skies and a cool breeze, the carpet of red, orange and yellow leaves...there are few things more perfect than these! I've begun to look forward to autumn each year specifically to come out to Bella Organic, because this farm encapsulates all the above experiences in one place! Yes, I know it is open during the other seasons, but autumn is where it (and most other farms) truly begin to shine. Feeding the animals, shopping in the farm store, hunting scarecrows in the corn maze, sipping pumpkin beer or one of the various fruit ciders, picking that perfect pumpkin out of the patch. Is there any better way to spend a leisurely weekend afternoon? Not to mention the Haunted Corn Maze, which is a total blast, and one of the best Halloween-season experiences you will find in the Portland area. It's popular as all get-out, so make sure to arrive as early as possible just before sunset, grab your ticket, and wait for your turn to be pursued through the Maze of Maize by creepy clowns, sanguine scarecrows, and chainsaw-wielding psychopaths! Personally, I prefer Bella Organic to any other farm in the region. We;ve already visited twice this month, and we have at least one more planned next month, when the above mentioned Haunted Maze opens for the season. They were promoting, on facebook, a pet friendly pumpkin patch, so, we decided to check them out. What a joke, they may be pet friendly but they are not disabled friendly. To get to the first spattering of pumpkins, you must walk well over a 1/4 of a mile (my phone said twice that) down a muddy uneven road then across an uneven field to a few pumpkins and the first red tractor. If we wanted to double our distance to more pumpkins, we could have. They had a wagon available for a fee, but way to high and difficult for a disabled, mobility impaired person to climb up into. They had a train available, again, no adult over 30 could climb into that, and, again a charge. Their other train, again a charge, had walk thru openings designed for skinny people to squeeze into, not an option for any plus size people. None of the rides allowed dogs ... so, if you wanted to bring your dogs to their pet friendly pumpkin patch ... your option is to walk. If you are mobility impaired and want to bring your dogs, you are going to suffer. Today is the 3rd day since my visit and I can finally stand and walk again, I am sooo sore from walking on all that uneven ground. No disclaimers on their site about the distance to walk or the surface to walk. Heck, if you showed up in a wheelchair, you could not get to the pumpkins!!! We will not be back and I will ensure everyone knows how ADA unfriendly this place is read more

Today I went to the Haunted Corn maze with a group of 4 and it was one of the worst haunt and corn maze experiences I've ever had. I should preface this by saying I go to A LOT of haunted houses and a few corn mazes a year. This was neither. The maze started by a person telling it was muddy and you should have appropriate shoes. Luckily I wore rain boots, but being warned as you walked in is not helpful. Perhaps an email if you bought tickets online? This was not light mud. This was a scene straight out of Forest Gump where he is treading through Vietnam. After what seemed to be forever going through literal poo-mud-water-gunk we finally hit our first little haunt. This was a sad little shack with a strobe light. Unfortunately that is how the rest of the maze was. There were few scarers, to make wading through the mud worth it. We were grabbing onto each other, not In the fun romantic scared way... but the I hope I don't eat it way. My rain boots are ruined, my money is wasted, and my bathtub is dirty. read more

Went for the haunted corn maze which was fun, but had a horrible interaction with employees. I asked a simple question about where to check in and was given an extremely condescending answer by an employee who had way too much attitude for a 60 year old man working at a pumpkin patch. His coworker laughed as he basically humiliated my friends and I for asking a respectful question. I understand customer service is tiring but this ruined my experience and we paid way too much money for something like that to happen. We were respectful and polite so I'm at a loss as to why we were treated this way. read more

This is probably more a 3.5 star review. The farm was great, the employees were kind of rude to be honest. We had a great time in the fields even though we arrived late in the season. The farm store also has a ton of yummy products to purchase. I would say if you want to do upick bring your own containers, prepare to walk and stand A LOT the fields were a LONG walk from the area you park. I walked 6,000 steps in two hours. read more

Picking blueberries at Bella Organic Farms is a great family activity! The staff is friendly and super helpful. The bushes were packed full of ripe berries! The price was reasonable. There are a lot of one star reviews because people wouldn't/couldn't wear masks are required for picking. I think that with the COVID crisis going on, it is better to be safe than sorry. I didn't pick at any of the other farms, but there are a ton around so if you have mask issues, perhaps you can try other farms.... I can tell you that while we missed sampling while we picked, it was a total blast and we can't wait to go back! We ended with a mix of fresh berries and Ruby Jewel Ice Cream Sandwiches!
