this was our first time here and it was a 10/10! the Odessa Roll was fantastic, and My husband got the spicy California roll and it was amazing! We also got egg rolls and they were super delicious! If you're ever craving sushi this is now my favorite spot!

Great spot with really reasonable sushi prices. Loved both of these rolls!

Excellent sushi spot in WTX, best I've found. Found it on Yelp and hasn't disappointed at all. I can't remember the rolls I had in the other picture but I loved those as well. It's been pretty empty both times I've been here but I don't mind that at all.

Habakkuk (Bruce) surprised us with this delectable boat for 2!!!

Dinner was amazing & now I have a favorite sushi spot & sushi chef!!! Habakkuk (Bruce) was personable, intelligent, and he made our night!!! We told him our favorite things and he made us this boat for two all on his own. We were SO RIGHT to trust him to decide what we were having for dinner. Do not sleep on Fujiyama!!!

Florida Roll up top, Mugen Roll on bottom

Food was amazing, the order was a pickup but the lady that helped us up front was so sweet. Will definitely be back!

What a fantastic find!! I was visiting from out of town (Houston), and found this place on google explore. Received a delicious small complimentary bowl of miso soups when I sat down. The menu is a good size, lots to choose from. I chose some pork dumplings and a sushi platter. The sushi was lovely and fresh, the fish was sweet and meaty, full of flavor, the dumplings were good. They have a good happy hour menu. Overall, excellent food, great price and fab service. I would definitely recommend

Best PLACE in TOWN operate by the owners is amazing and excellent prices. Ambiance is good

Loved the Florida and Odessa rolls. Wasn't a fan of the "torched" flavor on Torched Crawfish. Midland Roll was just ok for me.

I thought the sushi was pretty good. Will definitely be back to try again. Florida and Odessa rolls are something we'd order again. We also tried the Midland and Torched Crawfish rolls... they weren't bad but probably would try different rolls in place of those next time. Wasn't a fan of the fried rice or edamame... Both were a bit over cooked and over seasoned. Also, wasn't a fan of the giant boat that they brought the sushi out on.... it took up the whole table and I question cleanliness. Will request sushi on plate next time.

How much sauce does one piece of "fresh" sushi does one really need? Messy and killed the taste

Mixed feelings about this place. My husband and I tried it tonight and at at the bar. The place seemed clean enough but the decor was weird and it was awkwardly quiet. Our steamed dumplings were fairly good. We also had the sushi and it was gooped with the spicy mayo, and the pieces that didn't have much was flavorless and boring. I ordered the the sushi tower and it was dripping with sauce which killed the whole thing, for $11 I would expect flavor aside from the sauce. Then there's was the chicken tempinaki (sp check) and the chicken was extremely tough and the chicken clearly not cleaned up (cut off the fat and hard stuff chicken breast often has) but the rice was really good and the veggies were alright. Now on to the service. There were three table tops seated and one other person at the bar with us. We had to ask multiple times for a beer which was less than 10ft from our spot and when I asked for diet dp I was told they had it but clearly did not and we asked if they had beer on tap and they didn't but were told yes. Big language barrier. We were fine with that but all the other things added up to a three star. For only 5 people in the place on a Saturday it wouldn't have been hard to please who was there. Not to mention how long it took to get a sushi roll. Can't image what it could be like on a busy night. $80 later... We regret going for our rare date night. And won't be back.

Yikes. Where to begin? Mediocre, rushed service at the front-end with deliberate, continued ignoring of its customers once they have been served. Incredibly mediocre food with small portions. An incredible lack of flexibility. Clubby pop/edm music (which I love, mind) in a somewhat dated setting which doesn't fit the not-so-contemporary nature of the food. Quite pricey, as well. Would neither recommend nor try again.

Going to where no man has gone before. Well ok a few have. Pirate roll and midland roll.

I love the new restaurants that are coming to the permian! Trying on a whim I am very pleased. My daughter had the dumplings (pot stickers deep fried) and the 8 yr old loved them. My wife and I split the Midland roll and Pirate roll and they are so fresh. Very tasty and more food than we were prepared for. Kudos to the owner, he had out done himself. Very remenisent of restaurants in Houston and Dallas. Will definitely be back. Oh yea the warm sake is the best I have had. Super smooth.

My favorite sushi restaurant to go to while I'm in Midland visiting family. I'm from the coast of California, so finding a great sushi place in West Texas was quite a surprise. We ordered the firecracker roll, spicy tuna roll, and Philadelphia salmon roll. All were delicious. Service was tops. My 5-year-old grandson even loved his salmon sushi roll while eating an extra serving of sticky rice. We also enjoyed a bottle of Shirayuki Nama Fresh Sake. Look for happy hour from 4-6:00 pm for half off appetizers, $2 domestic beer, $3 per glass of house wine, and $3 sake bomb. Try something different than your usual steakhouse in Midland. Fujiyama will be a pleasant surprise!

Best sushi in Midland, hands down! Get the Fuji roll and the black dragon roll, you'll be sad when your plate is empty.

This part of Texas has no business having sushi that good either. Used to always get the wagyu ribeye, then th Akaushi, then I tried the lamb chops and got stuck on those. Easy to spend over $1,000 here, but also not hard to leave for less than $100/person and have everyone waddling out with a loose button. Fantastic restaurant.

The menu consists of raw plates, apps, salads, sandwiches, land and sea plates, and steaks. Half of the front of their menu is devoted to sushi rolls, containing elevated items like lobster and waygu steak. On the rear of the menu, their side dishes didn't really impress me as there are many starches and only 2 green veggies. This restaurant is still very classy in several ways, or at least they make a valiant attempt. One example, when ordering sushi rolls, they bring out a nice metal chopstick holder. However, the chopsticks themselves are just the cheap wooden ones in a paper packaging. I decided to sit at the bar since the dining area looked busy; however, the bar area was also just as busy. On the bar side of the restaurant, there are actually many more tables toward the back which were mostly vacant during the majority of my visit. I decided to order the steak frites which they say is a Denver cut. Denver steaks are from the well-used shoulder area and typically have great marbling and a deep beef flavor. The dish comes with their truffle fries and bearnaise sauce. It's a simple dish and not their priciest cut, but it's the most affordable way to get one of their steaks without being presented on a sandwich or priced in the 68-275 range as their other steaks. Steak frites - the steak was tender and very tasty. It actually was much better without the room temp bearnaise sauce. Not sure why they have that on the plate since it ruins a steak imo. The steak itself was also luke warm and not hot from the broiler. The fresh cut shoestring fries were warm but not quite as hot as I was expecting. Luckily, the garlic aioli helped. This restaurant is a great place for many occasions but can also be a good place for someone dining solo looking for upscale food.

"Butt," they giggle. Lest you forget, "the initials also playfully represent the store's slogan, 'Here Everything's Better'." Cute, huh? This store was mostly clean and organized. We found some good deals on meats. I mean for the times. And I love the H-E-B line. They omit lots of junk and artificial crap plus they are cheaper than the name brands. This mom is a fan! The seafood guy was funny. The cashier was nice but distracted with her phone. The most maddening scene was the parking lot on January 4, 2026.

The store was spotlessly clean. The produce department is enormous, and they also carry a great selection of organic fruit. The bakery department has premade cakes and also takes special orders. They were putting new dishes out. The fried fish was my favorite thing along side those sesame balls ! Now the service was kind of lacking. Here's the part that miffed me ... the waitress magically appeared as we were eating dessert with our check. Thinking I don't want to wait for her to reappear to pay I put my card on the tray for her right away. She came back with it and set it on the table. I continue to eat. She come back in about 2 min PICKs the check up and STICKS IT IN MY FACE (yes, with my spoon half way to my mouth) and says SIGN IT! It's just hard to appreciate cold fried rice when you're wondering, "youre telling me a cocktail shrimp fried this rice?!" The honey chicken deserves some respect, though. I've never seen honey chicken at a Chinese buffet before, and somehow, even cold, it was still the best thing I ate.
