They really do!

For some reason this place is up where I grew up but until now I'd never gone. I've heard the legends so I was excited to try. Also if you see my reviews you'll see I'm really on an Asian cuisine kick. So first off this is a House. Someone converted a huge ass house into a hibachi joint. Brilliant. I'd love to say it's never been done before but I have no idea if that's true. The idea seems very original. So the from door leads you into purgatory where you wait for your seat at the grill. You can make reservations but you'll have to wait until there are enough people to get a grill. Due to Hibachi's performative nature you want to fill a table. Our Chef who introduced himself as Gordon Ramsey and claimed to be from Italy was amazing. He was possibly the most fun chef I've had. I got the Tuna steak Hibachi. It was a lot of food. Every meal comes with shrimp on top of the meat you're already getting. As well as soup and salad. The food was delicious. I think they use more flavoring liquids that most hibachi places. Our chef used less butter on the rice and eggs than I've seen done at most places. That was better in my opinion. I felt better about eating it. So we finished up and our chef promised to make us waffles if we were there by 6am Saturday morning. So I might switch my favorite Hibachi place. Really hope I get the same chef when I go back.

The food was delicious, big portions and friendly staff! The shrimp tempura roll was the best we've had so far. Definitely worth it.

Read the previous reviews, and we were worried about trying this place out. While we didn't have a bad experience with service, I can see why people have said what they have about their waiting staff. Other than the waitress with the purple hair, who was really sweet and attentive. Food: Too pricy for what it is. Chicken and shrimp hibachi was ~$30, but it tasted generic and low quality. Chicken was dry and overcooked. The Red Dragon Roll had a good concept as a shrimp tempura roll with eel on top. Only thing was that the shrimp tempura wasn't fresh (possibly even reheated frozen). Apparently the chef left an hour before closing just FYI, so most of the non-hibachi entrees were unavailable.

We have gone here many times and we almost always have a great time with good food. There is not much that stands out about the food -- everything you would expect at a Hibachi and Japanese Steakhouse, and generally done well. Hibachi is always entertaining and they usually will go out of the way when you ask if you need something. When something isn't right, they do their best to fix it.

Clear soup. Amazing.

We went for the sushi and everything was fresh and delicious. Even though they could have used more staff the service was excellent.

Local Sushi Spot of mention for sure at Panda Garden!…read moreThe sushi is fresh and well proportioned for the price- definitely recommend in food quality. Ordered their special Sparkle Roll, Spicy Scallop Sushi, White Tuna Sushi and an Egg Roll. Favorite bite was the spicy scallop. We ordered for take out, as the inside is not much of ambiance. So on food for taste, quality, pricing and portion absolutely 4 stars. Where this 3 star rating arrives from was the surprise on our bill. A tip was automatically included on receipt. I did not manually place a tip on my order, rather this was discovered at check out. Never ever have a problem in being a generous tipper, however this should be left to the customer at discretion. The blatant insertion of tip was alarming. For that respect of service, need to downgrade my rating. Which is unfortunate, because this food is solid sushi takeaway!!

The chicken itself was good but no crispy coating, nothing special about the sauce. The pork fried rice was 99% rice I did not see a single chunk of pork and almost no veggies at all. The whole meal was disappointing. Will not be going back.

Rock Shrimp- pretty basic tempura fried popcorn shrimp in a creamy gochujang (flavor profile similar to the wings). Seafood Tom Yum Soup, inhaled spice produced a cough before spoon fully reached my lips. I'm here for it! Not a seeker of super spicy, but growing tired of Asian dishes being constantly muted or made Korean-cloyingly sweet. The spice balanced & enhanced the Thai flavors of lemongrass & lime w/ mussels & rings of calamari floating in the broth. My Pad See Ew had that silky, savory, sauce- the depth of which sets it apart from other noodle dishes & is made more savory by adding Wagyu. Tried the Lamb Special- flavors were amazing! From the truffled mashed to the whole roasted onion. Portion could've been larger- they butterflied what looked to be a single, maybe double, lollipop, but presentation was great & flavors on point. Nice desert options- save room! Close seating, which we capitalized on! Made new friends AND tried their dishes- what all diners should do in this situation! Wouldn't say every dish is 10 out of 10; I'd say the food, service, & atmosphere in combination makes for a near 10 out of 10 experience. Highly recommend as a nice evening out. Make reservations early, weekend tables are hard to get.

The asian dishes were "americanized" and most (like the sesame chicken) tasted of pure sugar & ketchup...just gross. We traveled over 45 mins to go for a good meal & were terribly disappointed. Will not be back & will not recommend!

We ended up going to Veekoo last minute with a fairly large party that they were able to accommodate. They were very welcoming and patient with our group size, and the times between ordering and receiving our food were considerably quick. The menu's design, cleanliness and ambiance of the restaurant were also great. The food was good, but I thought a bit lackluster for the price tag. We collectively got the sushi Love Boat, specialty sushi rolls, dumplings, soups and ramen. The best was probably the sushi, with the Yellow Dragon being the highlight. The other rolls ranged between good and alright. The soups and dumplings were a bit bland, but also still good. Ultimately I would come back, but it seems like one of those places where it helps to know the highlights of the menu based on your preferences.

If you love Sesame Chicken with Broccoli, do not order it at Veekoo in Royersford. Battered fried chicken nuggets, with "A FEW sesame seeds in a sweet and sour sauce on the side, should be an embarrassment to their Wok Chef. This is definitely an outlier. I hope they go back to the original that includes a higher quantity of chicken meat.
