I'm a little confused as I ordered from Mr Chen Asian Gourmet on Door dash but on Maps this restaurant comes up as Mr Lee's? Photos attached. Perhaps the restaurant changed its name recently or uses another name for Door dash order's? The Chicken Lo Mein was good, but the chicken was cut strangely and the sauce tasted different than what I'm used to. This is Not my go to for Chinese, but I thought I would give it a try. My friend's Shrimp with broccoli was very tasty, smelled great and looked appetizing. I think it might be worth a shot if you're in the area. Let me know the correct restaurant name. First time here, I ordered gen. T'so chicken and my wife ordered sweet and sour chicken. Both plates came with just enough to get full. My wife had leftovers but she always takes some food home. Both dishes had fresh tasting, non greasy chicken. Gen T'so needed more "hot-spice"flavor. The price was pleasant, so was the service. Restaurant was clean. Mr.Lee's was my go to place for Asian food always flavorful and consistent. I tried to look past the cleanliness of their windows and kitchen area and continued to get Asian take-out from them until I recently read their inspection report. I still don't understand why previous safety violations are not corrected and they continue to stay open. They are not listed as Mr. Lees under the inspection report, they are listed as Mr. Chen's Asian. It's sad because they have delicious take-out but I'm sorry I will not recommend Mr. Lees to others and risk illness until they clean up their act. read more

Checked this place out at the recommendation of a friend- so glad we finally did! I'm pretty picky about Sweet & Sour Chicken, and it's been difficult to find a local spot that compared to our favorite place about 30 minutes away. The portions here were generous, the prices reasonable and the food is delicious. I am a sucker for chicken and broccoli, but I find a lot of places skimp on quality and don't balance the chicken to broccoli... it's usually too much of one or the other. They balance everything well, which was nice to discover. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. My other half got the Crab Rangoon and said it was excellent, but maybe too much for just one person. My online order was ready quickly. The mei fun was flavorful and had a decent amount of vegetables under the noodles. I thought asparagus was a strange choice for Chinese cuisine, but I didn't mind it too much. Something like baby corn would've been better. However, I asked for no mushrooms in the comments when I put the order through and when I got to work and opened the container, there were mushrooms right on the top, and more with the vegetables at the bottoms. I have a mild allergy to mushrooms - it's ok if they touch the food, I just can't eat them, so I picked them out, but it would have been nice to not have to do that. Please pay attention to the comments/requests that come with online orders. You can see in the photo that Yelp allowed me to put in the request. The scallion pancake was ok. Have driven by this place hundreds of times and decided to finally stop in and try it. Was extremely surprised. Had a shredded pork lunch special I was very shocked at how tiny the portions were but omg what was on the plate was absolutely delicious ! The hot and sour soup was excellent as well. The only reason I can't give them the coveted 5th star is the tiny portions and that they charge $1.60 for a tea bag. With that said I will be back again! read more

The only thing edible were the pre-packaged fortune cookies. First, they forgot to include the rice. We had ordered their dumplings, which may have been good if they cooked them. They were essentially balls of undercooked dough. The hot and sour soup was flavorless and tasted like weak beef broth. The worst was the nearly raw chicken they included in their Dragon and Phoenix. Absolutely HORRIBLE! I've noticed they've been going downhill for the past few years but tonight was the last straw. I ordered through Door Dash, which is no reflection on them. They delivered promptly and without incident. When ordering through Door Dash there is a section for Special Instructions for each item. I ordered extra sauce on the Coconut Shrimp. No extra Sauce I ordered extra spicy on the Lo MeiN. Not even mildly spicy. Ordered extra spicy also on the Tofu Red Curry. No spice at all. The Lo Mein didn't even use regular Lo Mein noodles. They were like spaghetti. The breading on the Coconut shrimp wasn't even fully cooked. It was mushy on the inside. Also the food arrived cold. Not even warm. I placed an order tonight through DoorDash and the driver never showed. I got a call from someone at the restaurant letting me know they didn't show and that he was personally delivering my food to me. Not only was this action well above and beyond in itself, but he came out way after the restaurant was closed. He let me know to contact DoorDash (an app I would NOT recommend after tonight) and cancel my order. I just texted Mr. Lee's my address and paid in cash. I was very impressed at the professionalism and kindness of this business. That being said... the food was INCREDIBLE! Not greasy, well made with high quality ingredients. I was starving and their food really hit the spot. It's priced amazingly well, especially for the quality of the ingredients they use. The portions were very large and for about $12 I stuffed myself tonight and have plenty to pack for lunch tomorrow. This used to be a great restaurant. Last few orders were truly awful. Gen Tao was hard and dry, and I threw it out. Spare ribs that were so burnt they were inedible, then there was last night... what looked like gorgeous butterfly shrimp but in a sweet and sour orange sauce??? It was $14 of disgusting. Even the noodles for the soup are awful now. New owners? New cooks? Just had great food from Liu Gardens- it's worth the trip. read more

This is such a great little place for a quiet night out. I wish I could say what I like so much about the interior but nothing stands out except for the great vibe - very calm and welcoming. I've never had a bad experience. The staff is always super nice and the food is on point. I highly recommend eating in, but they are just as good for takeout. I've had Pad THAI as take out a few times. It's very different than the authentic dish and not in a good way. Tonight the sauce was very (too) spicy. I won't have it again. I only have one complaint about the this place. The food is excellent and is better than most other places around here. My complaint is the food is too small of a portion for the price. Mr. Lee's is pretty hit or miss. A lot of the entrees I have had here I didn't care for, like crispy shredded beef and general tso's chicken. I also did not enjoy the soup, either won ton or egg drop. It may have gone unnoticed at the 29 /663 traffic circle, but this place deserves a moment of your time. The menu has all of the staples you expect with some fantastic additions. The quality of the food has gone completely downhill. He's the only game in town and overcharges for basic American Chinese food dishes. I hardly ever see anyone go there anymore. One star- last time ordered from there we got $50 worth of food and had a coupon. He granted the coupon but I felt like it was still very expensive for what we got. Mr Lee's opened maybe 10 years ago and was excellent, on par with places like Yang Ming. Unfortunately, it did not maintain this level of quality. Nonetheless, I find it better than most take-out Chinese joints even now and there are some more creative dishes on the menu. The Crispy Shredded Pork is a good example. The dining area is nice enough and it BYOB which I like. You can do better but you can certainly do worse for Chinese. read more

I go off food more, i get take out often. The shrimp and broccoli i find to be awesome. I have gotten two bad dishes, but thats out of about 60. Before being Pescetarian the dumplings are very enjoyable same as the spring roll. The general tso is good, the sauce can be to much, be sure to ask for crisper chicken and less sauce. Pepper steak was a favorite for a bit. We also enjoy the garlic broccoli with the salad, that comes with i think all meals. The lunch size is to small for me but is a decent lunch for most people. It is half the price so you get what you pay for. The owner is very nice, seems to be happy everytime im there. Just make sure you speak clearly and slowly.
