I spent a better part of my weekend and Monday looking for someone to repair my broken air conditioning. I called Full Blast Heating and Air Conditioning because our air conditioner was not blowing cold and just kept running all the time. I called on a Tuesday and he came on Thursday not bad since summer it just getting started and everyone is getting their air conditioners serviced. Well, it turned out that we were a little low on freon, but the big problem was our thermostat. I was wired wrong when the house was built. Quite possibly the nicest HVAC person I have ever met is Full Blast's Anthony Piedad. Wow. So we own a fixer upper. Nothing has been changed in this home for nearly 20-30 years. It's our first home and as such its taking an investment on our part. Well imagine our disappointment on putting off a kitchen remodel because we noticed our AC was starting to act up. Yes, the AC started to go on the fritz right when we had two sick girls under 5 years old on quarantine with a virus - stuck at home. In July. In 100 degree So. Cal weather. Gah! Patience was wearing thin but I didn't want to go with some big box company that was gonna try to sell me a new unit or some lame maintenance plan. Anthony's high reviews on Yelp are what sold me to give him a call. Well he's a busy guy, must be because of the good work, but he fit us in about a week after our initial call. Leave a message he will call you back. He fully inspected our aging unit - cleaned, repaired, and maintained so that we can survive this summer and purchase another unit next year (fingers crossed). He offered great advice to improve air flow and quality. He had to come back because our dirty ole' unit need some more tender loving cleaning but he didn't make a big deal about it. Anthony gave us advice on what we could do to improve the way our air-conditioning works. He was not pushing his own services and he was recommending other companies that can help us because he did not feel that he was able to do some of those things. This review is very overdue. When we decided to get air conditioning in our home, I of course wanted a few quotes. Besides asking friends, I also decided to reach out to a few highly rated businesses on YELP. Full Blast had great reviews, so I wrote to this business via yelp asking for a quote. Anthony promptly wrote back saying that he does not install AC systems, just fixes them but he'd be happy to look over any quotes I did get as he knew what to look for (size of system, brand of system, parts, length of warranty, etc). I sent him three quotes and he responded very thoroughly and suggested yet another installer. I ended up going with his installer but he helped me with their quote too and we made some changes to it. He took my calls anytime (including at his kid's baseball game) and followed up with me. I was very impressed with his effort when he was making NO money off of me. And yeah, you could say, well he referred a company that might not do a great job, so he'd eventually get something out of it in repair work by being nice to me but NO - one of his main reasons for recommending the company who did the install was him saying "they warranty their work for 5 years, which is longer than most." So, I don't think he's trying to make a buck off me. The least I can do is thank him via yelp and I can tell you he knows what he's talking about. Great customer service. AC line was frosting up, but system still working. Home Warranty company sent some "tech" out who immediately wanted to "do me a favor" and condemn the system after offering no repair options. Warranty company just as bad and simply denied the work. Called Anthony who took a great deal of time even on the phone with me to discuss the problems. We agreed on an appt time and Anthony and his partner, Eugene, showed up on time. Anthony took a look at our unit and we talked about all our options, from repair to looking at a new system. I opted for repair. Anthony and Eugene worked on the unit, cleaned the inner coils, repaired and put the unit back together better than it was prior to my calling.
