I have been going to Drew for almost ten years now. I do not trust anyone else with my hair, so much so that he was THE barber for my wedding! He always ensures that my hair and facial hair is exactly as I want them and we always chop it up the entire time I am getting a hair cut. I'll begin by saying that my teenager is pretty sensitive about his haircuts. He doesn't style it, but he's particular regardless; he also has some sensory sensitivities. I came across Full Circle from both Instagram and the San Mateo Daily. The barbers looked young and cool while also doing great cuts and lending expertise and advice, so we gave them a shot. They did not disappoint! My son's appointment was with Codie, one of the co-founders. He was so personable, joyful, and engaging that I immediately knew that my son would love it here as long as he liked his haircut. Codie was extremely attentive - asking my son both personal/conversational questions and questions about preferences of the cut. Needless to say, my son loved his cut almost as much as he loves his new kuya, Codie. The vibe is very barbershop - everyone's family, loud, and warm. If it's your vibe and you become a regular, I wouldn't expect to drop in and out. It's a laid-back environment - everyone who walks through the door is greeted warmly, and these guys really know what they're doing. Just from that one visit, I saw their clientele spanned the age spectrum, and everyone seemed genuinely happy. I think we found my son's new barber. The price point is pretty steep - $70 for my son's cut. He was coming in with a mop on his head, so there was a lot of work to be done. Codie spent a lot of time working on my son, too. I was in the need of a haircut and came across Full Circle Barbershop on Yelp. I read their story of how their grandfather used to be a barber and now Codie and his brother have come "full circle" and opened up their own barber shop. I did not take pics of the inside of the shop but will do next time I am there. The shop is very clean and cool vibe to it. Codie had music videos playing on a big tv when I walked in. My appointment was at 6:15am so we were the only ones in there so it was quiet, lol! Codie is very friendly and very personable. I was blessed that he was able to fit me in his schedule. I asked for a 0-3 Ball Fade and Codie did an awesome job. Fading was clean and got it lined up as well. I would highly recommend coming to their shop and getting a fresh cut. Newly opened barbershop in the heart of San Mateo. My father needed a haircut for his birthday and we were in the area so we decided to check this place out. When we first went in we were greeted right away which was really nice. I think they were having their soft opening so we were able to get an appointment for my dad right away. Drew cut his hair and did a great job! He really listened to what my dad wanted and even styled it nicely for him. The place itself looks sparkling clean with the decor and the really nice chandeliers. This place is in a very central location, I even had time to get Philz coffee next door while waiting which was nice! I've had my fair share of bad haircuts in the past, mainly cause I have gone to barbers in the past that never seem to understand my hair texture/hair type - So, I did my research and came across Ritz (BeastyCutz) and I couldn't be more happy that I did. Time after time, Ritz gets it right, and his attention to detail and how quick he is, is out of this world given how young he is. I really dislike trying to find a new Barber to cut my hair, since Covid I have lost 3 Barbers whom I've come to trust to cut my hair. Today I lost the 3 Barber and I was beside myself. I am semi retired so getting a regular haircut. I tend to get more cuts in the summer and let it grow out in the winter. So as I was walking home dreading having to find a new Barber when I remembered a new Barber shop opening right smack in the middle of my neighborhood so I headed there as I like to spend my money in my local community. I walked into Full Circle and was immediately greeted with a smile and a huge amount of energy. I sat down with Drew and we immediately connected on so many levels.? He and his wifey are currently raising their young family that I raised my family in back in the 80's and 90's, but let's get back to my cut. Drew asked me a few questions on how I normally groom my hair etc, and he went to work. Obviously we had an in-depth convo, about each other's experiences etc: I came away from this cut feeling really good with not only my cut but felt really good that I chose to stop this shop. Hands down codie has been my favorite barber ever. I've been going to him since before he opened his own shop and he's been my go to since 2018. It's always a good time and we always have great conversations while getting my cut. He's the nicest barber I know and has always been more than happy to make any adjustments as I ask for them.
