You drive through in one direction with plenty of parking available throughout the park. It's wheelchair accessible and dog friendly, which I really appreciate. There's a boat launch with trailer parking and docks, fishing areas, a pirate ship playground with a splash pad, covered picnic tables, an observation deck, a basketball court, and a large covered pavilion with a kitchen and bathrooms. The city hosts events there, and it's also available for private rentals. I love stopping along the waterfront to watch the dolphins play and ships sail in and out of the port.

Con's - absolutely no outside food or drinks allowed (they check your bags), however the snack bar was reasonably priced. The boat can be over crowded causing lines to tangle. the boat does not go to any rigs -but they do go to wrecks and reefs. Advice, be sure to sit in the back of the boat on your way out to fish or else you will get drenched. Take pictures of your string and snapper numbers so there is no confusion. Take pics of your fish so there are no questions about if it is yours or not and watch for your your fish when you dock and they are being distributed. It was a nice boat with an air conditioned place to rest. They provided everything including bait and snacks and sandwiches and drinks. They were very friendly and made it feel like you were out with friends showing you how to fish. The only negatives were that I had underestimated how long we would have to spend traveling to and from the fishing spots. We didn't seem to spend an awful lot of the 6 hours actually fishing. And my oldest son had a big one on the trolling line and it broke the line. He felt like he needed more instruction on what to do. But that's ok.
