I wish that I could remember our waitresses name because she is an amazing person. I was there today with my 2 adult daughters. We are from California. We had to travel to the Toronto area because my husband of 30 years passed away suddenly in his sleep while in the GTA. We had just finished identifying and viewing his remains before cremation. We decided that we needed to sit and have a drink or two. We ordered some beers and jalapeño poppers and an order of brisket sliders some of his favorite foods and his favorite beer. The jalapeño poppers were delicious, we did not eat the sliders we just didn't feel much like having food. We did bring the sliders with us and even after being reheated in a hotel microwave they were delicious. Our waitress was wonderful and even ran to a flower shop that was near and gave us each a flower! I am writing this in hope that she may see it and we can thank her for everything. We will always remember her and her kindness. This was by far the best experience we had in the week we spent in Toronto. It is definitely worth the time and money spent to visit this place. The bread was toasted giving it a nice crisp, the ajvar and kaymak went really well with the bread and chevaps, and lastly the portion size was huge! Service was okay. Wait times were a bit on the slower end, and when one of the servers brought someone in our party tea, they carelessly spilled some on the table, and never even acknowledged or noticed the mess they made. If I visit again, I'd probably go for the chevaps myself.

The resto-bar was clean. A menu was brought over quickly. The server immediately made me aware of the nightly specials. It changed what I would order. I appreciated that. I settled on a burger platter, to which I added cheese. With it, I had a root beer. (The special that night was the burger platter and one could have it with their lower cost domestic beers, or something without alcohol.) Rounding out the platter was a nice serving of fries ... the kind with the ridges ... and they were good. The platter took a while to come to the table. However, given how good it was, this didn't matter. They got it right. The final tab was to my liking. I added a tip to reflect how welcoming and good natured the service was. Note that, even though later hours are kept, the kitchen closes a little earlier. Not knowing the landscape, it then became apparent that St. Louis Bar and Grill is a chain, albeit a sports bar that would, in my opinion, channel wings and ribs from places in the U.S. Lastly, it's less than 2 large blocks from the terminus station of TTC Line 1 up at Vaughan Metropolitan Centre.
