I can't quite remember all the flavors we tried, but they were all super yummy. Really loved the rose tteokbokki, and the cheese corn was so solid too. Overall, The Fry is a yummy place for fried chicken!

Came here for dinner last night and had a combo with half garlic soy/half sweet chili chicken, spicy rice cakes, and cheese corn. The chicken was great! I loved the saucy batch we had, but could have been just a bit crunchier. The cheese corn was very plain (no sugar or sweetness) and barely had a cheesy texture or taste once it was all mixed up. I've had much better cheese corn elsewhere. There was no wait on a Wednesday night, and I have no complaints on service.

"Prices are fair for the quality of the chicken. Not the cheapest, but the taste and portion size make it worth it."

Why have I not heard of this spot. I usually go to my usual NENE CHICKEN, BBQ CHICKEN, along the Willowdale area in Toronto. My Son had recommended this spot for us and we were not disappointed. Portions, the flavours, and the price. (I didn't get a chance to take a photo of the cheese corn because my kids devoured it). The space wasn't anything too BIG but can accommodate a BIG if needed. If you needed any service and couldn't get the attention of the waitress/waiters, use the IPad they provide on every table. How convenient. Definitely coming back here, but this time, I want to try their spicy chicken.

I get the craving for Korean Fried Chicken once in a while and the feeling hit yesterday. We decided to check out The Fry as we've seen multiple locations across Toronto. We got Combo A which came with the Special Half and Half and an order of Fries. We also grabbed a Sapporo black that they had on tap. The first thing to arrive was the free sides! We got a dish of cabbage salad, pickled radish and bubbling hot sweet corn. All of this was for free and part of service. Our beer came next, quickly followed by the fries. I like that they bring out something for you nibble on as you wait for your freshly made fried chicken. Our half and half came in two large baskets of chicken (we chose spicy savory and garlic soy). The spicy savory chicken was generously coated in a sticky red sauce with the right amount of kick, while the garlic soy were dry wings with a sweet aftertaste. Really liked that the batter didn't get too soggy, even when covered in sauce. The chicken itself was great, as both the white and dark meats were juicy and tender. We had enough chicken to take home a full box afterwards! Not bad for around $60 for two people.

Daily special - original fried chicken

Location/Service This place is near the Yonge and Sheppard intersection (alongside Yonge, north of Sheppard). Green P Parking is available around the corner. Pretty easy to spot. At the time I went, indoor seating was not yet available, but it's a bit spacious inside. Can accommodate medium sized groups. Interior also pretty modern with warm and bright ambience. Service was good, staff was nice when I ordered over the phone for takeout. Food What I like about The Fry is their daily special. Each day is a different menu item and it only costs about $10-$12! I came on a Wednesday and had their standard Korean Fried Chicken. You can opt in a sauce for about $1, but this one is just plain original. Portion size is huge and can definitely fill 2 people! For the value it's awesome. The chicken pieces were big, with more focus on the meat rather than heavy thick fried batter. It's very crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The original flavour has no sauce, so some may find it a little dry (but was okay for me). The Fry has been around for quite a few years and I'm glad they're still having consistent quality. Definitely perfect late night snack as they open till pretty late during this Covid period.

Great chicken spot as usual. We usually do takeaway but decided to sit in. They did a whole Reno so it is bright but they dim the lights at night. They give you complimentary corn and sides. Get the soy garlic and the spicy sauce on the side. You won't regret it! Sweet potato fries are always a hit. The only gripe I have is that something is up with the lights. They kept flickering and it was really annoying. Not sure if it was bulb related or intentional. But very distracting. Overall still our go to chicken.

Went here after a concert (Ateez!!!) because we had a craving for Korean food and we had heard about The Fry a couple of months ago. The food definitely didn't disappoint. We ordered the Butter Garlic Fries and they were heavenly. Had a hint of sweetness to it but it was balanced out pretty well with the saltiness from the garlic. We also ordered the Hot Cheesling Chicken, which was very cheesy but not very hot. I think it would have been a lot more tasty if it was spicy, but it was still pretty good. It was also a bit pricey but I guess that's kind of expected for Toronto XD! There was only one person working the counter, which was ok for the time we went at, but it probably wouldn't be good during a more busy time. The atmosphere inside was very nice and ambient, but the lights were super dim so it kind of felt dark as soon as we walked in. Overall though, a pretty good place for some late night korean munchies.

Have heard of this place numerous times and finally got around to trying this from my list of Korean food spots to try, also nice that they are now open to dine inside. Honestly enjoyed the food and atmosphere very much. Ordered the boneless green onion chicken and cheese powder fries to share, both were so tasty and the large portion of chicken is more than enough to share between two people. Also ordered soju to complete the meal. Overall service and experience was great, would definitely come back to try out other flavours for their chicken as it was very filling and satisfying!

If you have never tried Korean Fried chicken before then you are in for a treat. Koreans know how to make good fried chicken. I don't know if it's the way the pieces are chopped up and fried or if it's the yummy sauce that it's coated with. All I know is that your mouth will be wanting more and more! The fry makes you all happy inside knowing your belly is full from eating the crispiest flavorful chicken ever! We always order the fry from Uber eats as I have a one year old son and it's kinda hard for us to eat out right! But Uber eats gets the job done! All of our cravings are answered and the service is 100! We always order the half and half chicken so we can taste two different flavors! I love the soy chicken and my family likes the spicy flavor. Both are delicious! Korean fried chicken is the bomb! The fry does it right!

The best Korean fried chicken in the GTA!! The chicken is always fried to perfection whether you dine in or take out. The service is always kind as they provide free sides and appetizers when you dine in. We LOVE getting the half and half spicy and regular boneless!

The fry continues to be one of my fave kfc spots. They offer 10% with cash. There's no parking for this location but there is green p parking around the corner. The location is small so can fill up fast when it's busy. When you dine in they give you sugary corn, cabbage and radish for sides. My favourites are the savoury boneless chicken, garlic butter fries and rose tteokbokki. The soy garlic is on the drier side. It can get expensive but I usually have leftovers that last me extra meals.

Not my first time, and not my last! I had taken a friend here to bask in friend chicken together. We ordered the (Size Small) Boneless Green Onion Chicken and Sweet Potato fries. Service wasn't the greatest, really felt as though the waitress didn't care about us which was quite upsetting... But the food! So overtime because there is such a large amount of fried chicken, it tends to dry out your mouth and taste bland. However, you can ask for the sauce on the side! The chicken itself is tender, I would just recommend you try one that has the savoury sauce!

Definitely not my first time here as I've come with family or friends over the past 15+ years, every time, leaving very satisfied. Made sure to arrive for opening time to get a table right away since based on past experience, the wait can take some time, especially for dinner or on the weekends. Of course, had to order my two favourite menu items: 물냉면 - Mool naengmyun (Cold Noodles) and 김치찜 - Kimchi jjim (Braised Kimchi with Pork Belly). Have tried their other dishes in the past, which are pretty standard, but always find myself still gravitating back to these two. The slushy broth is always so tasty and refreshing! They also bring out a good variety of 반찬 - banchan (side dishes). Parking was easy to find this time since we got there early, but sometimes you have to circle around a few times or park at a neighbouring plaza and walk over. Hoping they reopen somewhere else soon!

I devoured a lovely doenjang jjigae (fermented soybean stew). Perfectly seasoned. Sooo satisfying. Spouse had the yukkaejjang (shredded spicy beef soup with lots of gochugaru - chili flakes). Both ttukbegae bowls came with purple rice and banchan. DIVINE. Service was efficient. Polite. PRO-TIP:.They've opened a store directly next door which sells house made banchan, Korean sausage (chapsal sundae) and other prepared dishes.

High quality, great service, pricey, but worth the dime!…read more A premium Korean bbq spot that is worth the hype and price tag. It's dry aged meats so you can expect the pricing to be higher than other Korean bbq's. The service was top notch with servers coming to check in with us throughout our meal. The food was amazing here and the quality of their meats is definitely the highlight. Here's what we got: Yukhoe (raw beef tartare) 5/5 - So fresh, so delicious and a must get appetizer. Pairs perfectly with the sweet pear slices and delicious crisps. Cold Noodle Soup 5/5 - Chewy noodles with a cold broth that is the perfect carb and contrast to the bbq meats. Refreshing and delicious. Heritage No Name 5/5 - Such bang for buck in my opinion. $25 for 240g of this premium heritage pork. When cooked, there was no porky flavour at all, it got so brown when cooked that it almost looked like beef. A must get! Marinated bone-in short rib 5/5 - This was so good and was one thick piece of short rib. My favourite meat of the night for sure. Like all Korean bbqs, this spot also serves a variety of banchans and kbbq comes with a complimentary soup that I thought was the best compd soup ever (compared to all other kbbq places). I loved this restaurant and can't wait to be back! A must try that is worth all the hype.

Parking can get busy in the garage as only the first 2 floors are dedicated to visitors while the upper floors are monthly passes. Note that Omiwol provides 4 hour parking validation if you eat there - more than enough time for meal. Staff were friendly and provided helpful tip around the amount of food and cooking the meat. We came on a weekday for lunch and decided on the lunch feast for 2. One thing that I immediately noticed was different than other Korean bbq places was that they seem to have internal ventilation within the grills at each table as there is almost no smoke in the restaurant despite many grills going on. This gives the restaurant a higher class feel and your clothes don't smell like bbq meat by the end of your meal! In terms of the meat, these were the stars of the meal. The pork belly had a nice fat that crisped up on cooking. The collar was tender and meaty that developed a good crust on grilling. The flat iron steak was soooo tender and juicy. Similarly, the picanha was meaty with good flavor though a big firmer. The banchans and lettuce were fresh. We got kimchi, spicy cucumber and onions, pickled onions, cabbage and jalapeño peppers, pickled sheets of radish and honey glazed sweet potatoes. All of which were tasty and go well with the bbq meats. On the side is a dish of sauces that include what looks like a sweet brown sauce (to me had minimal flavor relative to everything else), fresh wasabi - really great accompaniment to the beef and seemed more authentic than normal horseradish like wasabi, and a red sauce that reminds me of sauce that goes on bibimbap. The lunch set also comes with your choice of pork or beef kalguksu which is like a home made noodle dish in a stew. Very enjoyable to have to contrast the bbq meats. For us, our meal ended with melona popsicle which they have a variety of flavors. Price: 70$ pre tax and tip for lunch special which was well worth. Bring cash for a 5% discount.

A comforting brunch at Bonjuk Canada - perfect when you're not feeling 100%…read more My partner and I finally sat down for a proper brunch at Bonjuk this afternoon, and it was exactly the kind of meal we needed. I've been dealing with some dental pain, and my partner is just getting over a nasty cold, so we wanted something gentle, nourishing, and easy on the body - not a heavy, greasy brunch. Bonjuk's whole vibe of "comfort food with heart" really delivered. We'd only done takeout before, so this was our first time dining in. The space is small but really welcoming - warm lighting, clean and simple decor, and comfortable seating that makes you want to slow down and relax. It's not a huge place, so there aren't tons of indoor seats, but that also gives it a cozy, intimate feel. Service was friendly and low‑pressure, which we appreciated when we were both feeling a bit under the weather. We ordered the Chicken Porridge ($23) and the Beef Bulgogi Bibimbap ($24), both for dine‑in (prices don't include tax and tip). The chicken porridge was savoury, and soothing, with a rich broth that felt healing without being heavy. It was easy to eat with my sore teeth and left me feeling comforted, not stuffed. The beef bulgogi bibimbap was a nice contrast - colourful, fresh, and full of flavour. The bulgogi was sweet, the rice was perfectly cooked, and the mix of veggies and egg made it feel like a balanced, healthy meal. It's definitely a step up from typical brunch fare if you're looking for something lighter but still satisfying. One thing that really stood out was their baby porridge menu. It's such a thoughtful touch - separate, gentle, low‑salt options for little ones. As someone who's seen new parents struggle to find safe, easy meals out, this felt genuinely helpful and kind. It's easy to see why their marketing feels like they actually care about making food that's good for people, not just trendy. If you're looking for the best value, I'd say go for takeaway. We noticed a steady stream of takeout orders, and the overall costs are slightly lower that way, especially when there are discounts offered by different order platform. Overall, Bonjuk Canada is a good spot when you want something comforting, healthy, and easy on the stomach - whether you're recovering from illness, have dental issues, or just want a more mindful brunch.
