There was a bottle they definitely had , but I couldn't find it and took a few minutes for an associate to locate it. Therefore, I highly recommend to order online and pickup later. (I would have saved about 30mins ordering online ). Not that I'm complaining, just stating a fact. Pricing for scotch and non allocated bourbon is excellent. Lower than anyone , save Costco. I came specifically for a Laphroaig lore cask strength, $85. Grabbed a few other goodies.

She talked to me like I was stupid and then got weird and aggressive when I asked if they had gift bags, telling me they charge for those. I was just asking if they had them! I wasn't asking for anything free, though that would have been nice considering I spent over $200 and then was snapped at like I was trying to get a handout. The young college kids working in there also get treated poorly by the stuff I overheard. The store is small, cramped, and they hover over you for taking a look. More security cameras than a bank. Just straaaaange vibes in there. Will just make the drive to Newport next time.

They can also place special orders as I will sometimes order a half case or full case of wines that I like a lot. There is usually something on sale being displayed when you walk in. They also offer a discount if you buy three or more bottles. Before Covid, I came here for many years for their weekly wine tastings. For a mere $5 to $10, they would always offer up a great selection of wines to taste. Unfortunately, they haven't had any wine tastings since Covid, but almost everything I know about wine I owe to Vendome and their many years of great tastings. I actually have a file folder that contains a two inch stack of tasting sheets that I kept which go back as far as 2010. Today I stopped in to grab 4 bags to check the quality and ice size to plan for the busy season ahead. I paid ahead, got my receipt, and started to load my ice. When grabbing the 2nd bag I tried to grab the 3rd at the same time but didn't want to rip or drop a 20lb bag of ice, so I only took one at a time. When grabbing the 4th and final bag the dude at the register, the same guy I was purchasing from all last year, told me that I already grabbed everything I paid for and accused me of stealing a fifth / extra bag. I explained that I didn't and only took one at a time. He insisted that I was stealing so I told him to come look in my car that was parked right on the curb; he refused to leave the counter and insisted that I took an extra bag. I took a picture of the ice in the back of the car to show him but he was rude and continued to say I took more, so i tried to remind him of all the business I gave him last year. He was a rude d*ick. I will not return to give this shop any money ever again. I work in another local small Buena Park business, and I was wearing my work shirt with the logo, AND I paid with a company card. I didn't need to steal a $5 bag of ice. F*uck you, get wrecked.
