TRUST THE PROCESS!! Like many others, I struggled with my eyebrows every morning for years. I…read moreoverplucked in college, so my hair won't grow where I want it to grow. Even though I do have a good amount of brow hair, it's too light, so I would always color in my brows. I can never seem to make my brows look natural... it would be so obvious that I drew them and because of my heavy hand, they would look like sharpie brows! I finally built up the courage to get my eyebrows microbladed. I looked at so many other places, but was worried that I would get too much of a "western" look. I was looking for something more natural and more "Korean" so that my brows would shape my face more naturally. I found this place while literally searching "Korean microblading" and I'm so glad I did! Minji was such a pleasure to text before making my appointment. I was running late to my first appointment (blame the MTA!) and I was so worried because I had an evening appointment and I didn't want to hold up her schedule/night, but she was so reassuring and helped me catch my breath. She was even more fantastic in person! I have a LOT of fears - pain, shape, etc. Minji calmed me down a lot and talked me through the entire process. She even used her own eyebrows to help me visualize and ultimately achieve what I really wanted (I was having a hard time putting my wants in words!). The whole thing really feels like a slight scratch on your face. No pain whatsoever. I honestly think the most "painful" part of this experience was plucking some of my stray hairs. I'm telling you, I freak out at pain, but this was nothing at all. After the "procedure", I freaked out at how dark my eyebrows were (the darkness is completely normal) and Minji helped calm me down (again, I have a LOT of fears haha). But the shape - the shape was perfect!! Exactly what I wanted. I was too scared to hold the handheld mirror that Minji provides, but after I saw what she did, I couldn't let go! I started to really enjoy the whole process and she encouraged me to let her know any changes I wanted. The healing process was surprisingly not so bad. My coworker showed me pictures of her healing process when she had her eyebrows microbladed somewhere else, and I almost cried. The pictures showed her eyebrows getting super flaky and then turning white/no eyebrows. BUT - I didn't have that "ugly phase". My brows flaked off almost all at once, but some of the color had already retained, so I never looked like I didn't have any eyebrows. The "dark phase" only lasted about 5 days for me. My next appointment is finally coming up this Friday!! My left eyebrow is almost perfect, but my right eyebrow definitely needs some extra color. I have extremely oily skin, which Minji and I had talked about. More online research showed that oily skin will definitely affect the microblading process (color doesn't retain as well), but with what I have now, I know that I put my face and brows in the right hands. I've been raving about Minji to my coworkers who are marveling at how fast and nice my healing process was. Everyone can already see the shape and have noticed how my eyebrows have a nice color (so I look human now!!!!). Definitely pay a visit to Minji - she will take care of you and your brows.

To be fair, I got the facial on 12/20/23 -- I waited 2 weeks before writing this review. And I am giving stars because the owner did reply to my text when I was worried and tried to provide advice, although it wasn't helpful in my case. The microcurrent felt very strong and my skin jerked, so I addressed this in the beginning of our session. I trusted that she'd know best, however, and let her do the rest. I had burning, swollen and irritated skin for the following 8 days after the service. I put soothing masks, aloe, whatever natural products I could use, but to no avail. It was as if my skin got a burn. It was bumpy, rough, and swollen. I have no allergies to the products used. I had peeling skin for the next 8 days. My bottom half of the face (where she began the microcurrent facial service) burnt and hurt whenever I put moisturizer on for a week. Her other services may be fine, but I don't think I will return unfortunately. This never happened with my other facials. My skin is almost back to normal now, but it's been a very stressful way to spend the holidays.

Ok so heads up, this is a long review…read more My lips were never even. They were kinda dark and it didn't help that when I was a kid, I used to bite my lip a lot. One day, I was running in the park and fell forward. I ended up bitting my lip so hard that it left a mark. Fast forward 15 years and theres still a scar lining of my top tooth. I followed Christine on Instagram, she was one of the few I found who looked super legit and was super open and honest on her page. My first appointment was in October 2020 I went to get my lashes done and it was super last minute decision of mine but she got me in! Off the bat, she was super nice and super honest with me. Going into this, I knew I had sensitive eyes and I let her know in advance. She warned me that tearing can impact the results and I agreed because I wanted to give it a try. I teared a bit but the results were so worth it. The lashes lasted me sooo long and gave me so much life, I knew I couldn't go anywhere else. Fast forward a bit, I became a student model for two ladies that were learning from Christine. As a student model, listening in on how detailed and specific she was made me feel less worried. They were able to conceal my scar, they did a great job with Christine's help. Fast forward a few months later I had my touch up and lashes done as I knew my birthday was coming up the next month. Christine did my touch up with a brighter a bolder color which I loved and my lashes came out amazing as usual. Fair warning, I don't suggest doing two services at once if you can't lay flat for a long time. Christine was very accommodating and allowed me to stretch between sessions. She evened out my Cupid's bow and concealed the scar even more so it wasn't noticeable anymore. The healing process was pretty quick. I started peeling within the 3rd day and was fully peeled by the 6th day. My lips looked amazing, as a girl that is shy with pictures because of my lip insecurity, it felt GREAT! I went to Disney after they healed. A lady had complimented me and wanted to know my trick on how my lipstick stayed so perfect as I was eating. I was so in shock as that's never happened. I was so excited to share Christine's Instagram and explain the process. I can't wait for my next session with Christine.
