I've been gatekeeping this place for years but it's time I give KS Lash and their team their flowers because this is hands down the best lash studio I've ever been to (I've only been to one other). The staff is kind and recognizes you, will remember your preferences and is always there to help, accommodating if you run late and is extremely communicative. They keep the space serene and beautifully decorated. Kyle has been doing my lashes for almost 4 years now and I'd never go anywhere else. He is great at making recommendations, tips on lash cleaning and care, and working quickly and professionally. I've never had an issue with my lashes since going here. They give out free spoolie brushes and shower stick on shields, provide blankets and lumbar/knee pillows. They offer different lengths, curls and colors. Booking is simple and done online. Used to go see Kyle for my lashes for years until he was no longed there as of about a year ago. They transferred me to another Tecnitian who was very sweet but not as good as Kyle. She still managed to get my lashes done with some minor corrections...until she told me that my lashes are too complicated and I should wait for Kyle or try someone else. I've been getting eyelash extensions for years and LOVED my lash artist in LA. I went to her forever and didn't know if I'd be happy with anyone else once I relocated to NYC. I found KS Lash online and the booking process was easy. When I got there, they were so kind and helpful. They mapped out my face and helped to find the most flattering and suitable lash style for my face. The prices are a bit high, for a full set but the fill prices are very reasonable and so far my lashes are lasting really well and I think it is worth it. The staff was accommodating, and the space was clean. I did come here right after work and had eye makeup on. I took my eye makeup off with the remover they provided, but Wang my technician did not clean my eyelashes to ensure there was no leftover residue. I showed Wang a picture of what I was looking for and my eyelashes came out completely different. They proceed to gaslight me and tell me that this is what I asked. They put me with another technician who made my eyelashes bushy. I was extremely upset, and they charged me for a service that I am unsatisfied with. I asked them to schedule an appointment for me the next day to have them removed. Kyle then proceeds " We do charge for removal but for you, it will be free" like he's doing me a favor. They charged me $150 dollars for a service I left crying with. We continued to text back and forth to find a solution to this mess. I ask them to remove my eyelashes and start over. They tell me they "can't" remove my eyelashes, but they will "remove the bad lashes, and keep the good ones." Whatever that means, they can remove the lashes they just wont. Word of advice for this business if a client is asking for something.. give them what they are asking for. Anyone that is looking to use this lash bar, please do your research and make sure you have tons of pictures to show. Please see the pictures below of what I asked for and this is what the outcome was after two attempts of fixing them. My eyelashes do not look bad, but this is not what I asked for and this is not my style of lash I wanted. Also, those are all the lashes that have fallen out after my treatment. I received my treatment on 6/22 and today is 6/23. Update from my last review. Firstly, my eye lashes were not cleaned, Kyle you were not in the room and you did not see her clean my eyelashes. I have text message proof of the salon saying they would not fix my eye lashes for free. Also, the picture with the long wispy eye lashes is what I asked for and the second picture is what I received. Long story short: First time here. Definitely make a Rez. They will take you right on time. Very clean place. Excellent consultation(ask you how long, what style, and type of lashes you'd like. They advise you correctly. I love my Doll 12 cm lashes!) The way this business treats their clients is actually SO sad and laughable. Can't believe I'm being pressured to pay $50 for being sick lol. First off, I'm SICK and had NO WAY of knowing that until the day I woke up, which happened to be the day of my appointment. Been going to Kyle for 5 months now and have 0 complaints! I get the premium silk lash extensions extra full and they last me 3 weeks before I need another fill in in. High quality work with great results. Ive gone to other studios where after just a few days alot of lashes are falling off and a lot with my own natural lash attached. I hate writing bad reviews but I feel the need to protect others from what has happened to me. I have had lash extensions for several years and have been to many different places as I am an actor and move frequently for work. My home base is in NYC, so I had been going to KS Lash for over a year. My lash extensions looked good and would last well no matter which tech i chose, or so I thought. I am currently on a contract out of state and went to get my lashes done here after having them done at KS. My new lash tech informed me that is very clear from the short, uneven, blunt edges of my natural lashes that the techs at KS Lash have been cutting off my natural lashes. She said they have been using an excessive amount of glue which is why my retention has been good there, but this excessive glue can make it impossible to remove them (which is why they have been resorting to cutting my lashes every few weeks.) Obviously this was extremely upsetting to hear and I can't in good conscience return to KS when I am back in NYC. Again, I have had lashes for years but have always maintained my natural lashes until now. Heartbreaking and no way I could've known without another tech telling me since I cant see my lashes from that angle. A lash tech needs to be trustworthy since your eyes are taped closed, but no one at KS has ever informed me that they were going to cut my lashes. Please be careful who you trust with this! read more

This is not a review about Kyle lash services, however Kyle does great work. This review is about his RUDE receptionist/maybe wife. Booked my appointment for Feb 1st and received a text message on Jan 30th to confirm my appointment. I called to confirm for Feb 1st but No answer, called again but no answer. Never have I missed an appointment or showed up late. On Jan 31st I received a text message stating if I'm almost here, I called and they answering there phone doesn't seem as a priority, very lackadaisical for a business. Eventually someone called back stating I missed my appointment. I said no my appointment is for tomorrow Feb1st, she kept going back and forth about me losing $50, I said no this was a misunderstanding additionally if I missed an appointment this is not purposely done or intentional. No matter what I said she wanted to take $50, before even trying to reschedule me. Rescheduling wasn't an option unless I gave her $50. I can understand if I forgot or got caught up. Me calling the day before to confirm and getting no answer should be considered. I asked her to Zelle me my entire $200 and missy would say she'll Zelle me $150. My response was please do wrongfully take $50 I will take you to Better Business Bureau if she don't refund my full amount $200. Missy with her bright self refunded my full amount then texted saying she hopes I fine someone to do my lashes, lol. read more

Ever since I had a bad lash experience at another salon, I was hesitant to come here at first but KS Lash exceeded all expectations! I was quickly greeted upon arrival and was a very short wait for my tech to set up the room. Everything was sanitary, the rooms are relaxing, and the lash tech was super efficient with my lashes. Quality of lashes varies significantly depending on who does them- and poor customer service in response to customer satisfaction. This place used to be great- but after adding technicians it seems to be going downhill. I requested Kyle, and was told someone else would start me and Kyle would take over- when I got there his mentee started on my lashes right away without asking what kind, length, etc. She was very gentle and sweet, but lashes looked horrible within 2 days, most falling off, leaving me having to wear mascara and still looking a mess. Within one week I was 100% back to my original lashes. Their response was come back within a certain number of days and they'll give me the 2 week price. They thought that was accounting for the fact that I paid for a full set for a special occasion, and it fell off before. I have spent 8 years in New York looking for the best lash tech and I've found him! Kyle does a consultation with you on your first visit which I think is quite thoughtful and shows that he really knows what he's doing, he helps choose the best shape based on photos or what you describe to him. The appointment is easy to make online and always quick and easy in and out. I always schedule a few weeks ahead of time. The lashes last for me 3-4 weeks maybe even more. The only thing I'd say is that it's almost twice the price of another tech I went to (who I also really like) but recently have been going to Kyle more and only for special occasions! I got my lashes by "CAROL" and i would say she is REALLY NICE and PROFESSIONAL. she informed me of all the different options (curl thickness length and eye shape etc ) and answer all my questions thoroughly. During the actual process,she was so gentle with me that once she got started . I could barely feel a thing and i actually ended up falling asleep.
