CA Bureau of Auto Repair License number ARD00253998 Where do I begin? My fleet vehicle was with them for weeks. They called me toward the end of day to let me know it needed to be picked up. I live over an hour away but I dropped everything to rush out there before they closed. Unfortunately, my vehicle was not repaired correctly. The windshield wiper reservoir was visibly cracked but because it still holds fluid in the bottom they claimed the repair wasn't authorized. The only issue is that you cannot fill it up or fluid will leak out. The alignment wasn't done. They claimed that the damage didn't warrant an alignment. A huge 4 point buck hit my car and you don't think the alignment is off? That's automotive 101. The most annoying thing is the hood latch sensor. They rigged it so it was fine at pick up. But the minute you open the hood the sensor will not recognize that it has been closed again. This results in constant high pitched beeping while driving. The owner of this establishment accused me of yelling at her because my tone was rightfully frustrated. She claimed to be the middle man. When I asked to speak to the owner she said she is the owner. Then you are not the middle man, you are literally the one saying the repairs are done. They were not! My car had to be taken to the dealership because the Fulmer's refused to help me despite this being their responsibility. I was stranded for hours over an hour away from home because of their ineptitude. And when I asked them for their CA Bureau of Automotive Repair license number they refused to give it to me and demanded I get it from Enterprise fleet. This is illegal in the state of CA. You are required to give you BAR license number when asked. This place needs to be shut down if they can't adhere to our state laws. Almost $10k repair and they couldn't get it right. Update; The dealership called and said the alignment needed to be done, the windshield wiper reservoir needs to be replaced and that's 2 hours of labor to remove and replace (could have been done while the car was in pieces) and the hood latch needs to be removed and reinstalled correctly. Do yourself a favor and take your car somewhere else if you can help it. This was an additional $1171 in repairs. Front the original estimate of roughly $7700, to well over $10,000. read more

I'm I glad Fulmer's is located in Placerville. I backed my beautiful 1940 Dodge into a old wheel barrel handle. Yep, dented and paint cracks up/across the back fender. The talent this body shop has is wonderful. Matched/blended the peach color, and smooth. No judgement on how I hit a wheel barrel handle, just a few laughs. I mangled the driver side front and rear doors on my Jeep Grand Cherokee. I was able to purchase used doors and had them color matched. Roy at Fulmer's was kind enough to remove and replace the doors switching over the interior panels. Extremely happy with the work and he did it all in one day. Fulmer's Auto Body This is the type of place you never want to visit, but you're so thankful when you need them just to know that you have picked the right place. I first used Fulmer's in December of 2005. I had the unfortunate experience of hitting a small deer near my home. The damage to the front of my 2001 Chevy truck was extensive; I visited several body shops in my area and was not impressed. Either Un-Friendly or Too high of a price. You might say to yourself, Who cares because the insurance company is paying anyway. Well that's true, but why have your claim over inflated. Fullmer's gave me a very reasonable bid and took care of everything. They provided me with a free estimate and the insurance adjuster came to my home.. The Truck was repaired without delay and done correctly. Since that time I have used them for little dings and dents that occur from time to time and I have always been pleased. I have nothing but great things to say about this place. I went in for an out of pocket estimate on a little bumper and fender damage. About a month later I came back to schedule the repairs and Roy walked out "Hi Charlie" that was pretty impressive to remember my name from just a quote. The work was done quick and excellent. In our recent snow storm we took a little slip in our car and caught a curb. Without hesitation we had the car towed to Fulmers on a Sunday. First thing Monday morning Roy called with a best guess estimate (he didn't have the car keys to pull it inside). So I brought it to him. They are very friendly, very accommodating, very professional. They get the work done in a reasonable amount of time and do great work. With this repair, since it was a newer car there are only a couple of the parts we need in the US. Since that would delay the repair she said if we needed a car to call them back and they would set us up with Enterprise where they have a discounted price. I've been beyond impressed with Fulmers. I've worked with other bigger body shops in Placerville and had to refuse cars on pick up because they had damaged them. But Fulmers is honest, and does great work! The owners are beyond kind and total lifesavers. We were on our way out of town to go camping and had a part on our fifth wheel hitch break. As this was a problem was with a previous vendor/product... with absolutely no question, Fulmers stepped up and redid the work... totally at my convenience and on their dime. And, again... I'm disappointed that I have to even give them 1 star. I had my bumper repaired there after a lady backed into me. She wanted to pay cash since the insurance company would have raised her rates. I took my vehicle to Fulmer's auto body and was given a quote. I received the correct amount of cash from the party who caused the damage and proceeded to have my car repaired. Fulmer's did the job in about 2 days and said my car was done. I picked up my car and realized once I got home that only a small portion of the damage was repaired and other dents/scratches/chips were COMPLETELY UNTOUCHED. I spoke with the owner over the phone about the issue and he told me that the quote that was given initially was just for the work done, not the other scratches and dents. .... What?? A job is a job. You do not quote a partial job unless you're a second-class citizen out to scam people. I politely told the owner that Fulmer's is responsible for finishing the repair of my vehicle and the owner became irate and unprofessionally lost his cool. Like an adolescent being told he can't go to a friend's house, he began yelling and whining at me over the phone and saying he doesn't care about my car or my situation. I advised the owner that if he didn't make this right, I would be filing a complaint with the BBB. The owner responded with these exact words: "Why don't you go F*** yourself?" (Censored) I would never give this company my business again and wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. read more

There are sometime in life we experience something that needs recognition. Our brand new car was damaged by an unknown driver at the Walmart parking lot. We called our insurance company they directed us to a body shop in Cameron Park. We walked in and the place looked like a law office. Waited a long while for someone to even say hi to us. We walked out and came to Fulmer's body shop in Placerville. What a deference !! We were greeted by the office manager and met the owners behind the counter ready to help you. It was a wam feeling at the time we were so stressed about the car. Right away the transition was taking place. They contacted the insurance and lined up an smooth transition- we got our rental car and told the that our car would be ready in 6 days. And that it was! We came back the car looked like brand new again. The staff and technicians were outmost courteous, very friendly and yet highly professional.
