Amazing experience from Toy Tech! Ramone and his team went above and beyond for me and my family. We were leaving on a cross country move and we had made the point to get my car in for multiple services about a month before we left. We were satisfied with that alone. January 26, 2021: A day that will go down in history! Thanks to these guys, this was the first time I ever drove away from a car shop having paid LESS than I was expecting and getting my car back SOONER than I was expecting. (I have never been more thankful for an uneventful ride home!) My car was scheduled to go to another shop, but when some indicator lights came on and they couldn't get me in any sooner, my friend recommended I call Toy Tech. I first spoke with Kyle (who I now know is the owner), and he was super kind and helpful over the phone, which I liked. And they got me in way faster, which I also liked. My entire experience, start to finish, was excellent. I don't know a lot about cars, so going to auto shops is always a little unnerving, because I don't know if they're shooting me straight or taking me to the cleaners. But in a situation where these guys could've easily taken advantage, I feel like they were looking out for me, instead. Ramon was awesome--communicating regularly while my car was at the shop--and he walked me through best and worst case scenarios, informed me of what they were finding, etc. Ultimately, they got the job done faster than I was expecting, and my car drives better than it has in years (I'm not even exaggerating.) I brought a car to these folks for a parts replacement where I supplied the parts. I was told by the tech the parts I ordered were not correct and went to see for myself. The parts they showed me were NOT the parts I provided. My parts were new in the box and these parts were compromised & damaged. They tried telling me the marks on them were from them trying to make them work. I am actually a mechanic and had performed the work I was asking them to do myself on the same car and in the past. I had also purchased the same parts in the past years. Of course I had no way to prove this nefarious activity, so accepted what I thought was perhaps a legitimate mistake and moved on. 6 months later I brought another car to them for similar work and they pulled the same garbage again with different parts. They present an honest front, but I will NEVER go back to this dishonest place again. read more

I was a little leery of taking my car in since I'd never personally had an experience with the Toy Tech business, but am SO happy I chose them. I was told my brakes were in horrible shape by a big box shop I had my oil changed at, and being not so knowledgeable about brakes, or cars for that matter, I believed them. On recommendation from my mom, I brought my car in and was told I had basically been lied to, and that they were just fine. The Toy Tech could have done what the other shop did and say they were in horrible shape, but they had my best interest in mind and told me the truth. Very glad to have discovered The Toy Tech. Recently, our catalytic converter took a dive on our Toyota. Unfortunately, it was time for the DMV smog check, so we had to get it fixed. I called the Toy Tech and scheduled the fix for a few days out. Easy. He said it would take about one day to get it done. Great. We brought the vehicle in to the shop at the time agreed upon and then we returned and picked it up.... on time as well. Perfect. In the office, they went over the repairs with us and then collected our payment, minus $100. He said the parts came in under budget. Fantastic! These guys are LITERAL life savers!!!! We were on our way to Tahoe when our car started smoking and the low engine oil came on. We called Toy Tech 30 minutes before closing on a Friday, and they said they could check out our car if we made it there in 5 minutes. We had just gotten our oil changed at Wheel Works in SF, and they forgot to replace the "O" ring connected to the filter. This was causing our car to leak oil and smoke while driving. The guys at Toy Tech found the problem immediately, fixed it, and gave us recommendations for how to clean the leaked oil. We are so thankfully for Toy Tech! They saved our weekend and our vacation! They were recommended to me by someone else who had gone there and was very happy with their work. I took my Subaru to see if they could get the gas mileage back up to 27mpg. I changed my timing belt and have had terrible mpg since then. It was averaging 18-19 mpg and David was able to help me and got it up to 24 mpg as of now. He said to drive it a few days and see how it does. Research online says it takes a couple hundred miles to reset the electronics in the car. Nice guy and great service.
