As far as convenient stores...this one is pretty convenient…read more Snowed in, looking for lunch we headed down the street the one block to this Stop & Shop...obviously with no intention of staying long. A deli counter with no actual visible deli in it was open, and in addition to 12 foot sub sandwiches, they also had sammies for the individual. I was craving the egg salad...but alas they were out, so i settled for the ham salad. Yes....ham salad. Cubed ham tossed with mayo and you know what? It was great. Great the next day too! You may walk in here thinking you won't find what you want....but i think you just gotta know where to find it. With some Wise potato chips and Vitamin Waters we were set and good to go back the block which we came....all for a mere $10. I keep talking about the bargains I'm getting out here in Upstate New York. Shit may be cheap....but to be fair...its still upstate New York...I'll hang onto the SF prices a bit longer.

i'm not one to leave bad reviews, but this place seriously screwed me. i went to get gas here on…read moredecember 7th (i only came here because it was rumored to be the cheapest gas near me) and i put my card into the pump as you would any other pump. except this one told me my card was declined. so, i removed my card (knowing i had the money) so i could look into why it was declined. well, as it turns out the pump had taken my money. i was hysterical (as anyone would be) and that's when the lady comes out. i'm hoping and praying she's gonna help me figure this out. nope! she just needed me to move my car and showed NO empathy towards me or the state of panic i was in when i realized my money was gone. so, i moved my car and i called my mom. i guess it's important to add that i used a cashapp card. i had $43.48 on my cashapp at the time i went to get gas. i looked and i had an exact charge for $43.48 from GULF. THAT was the least of my worries as i was sure that the gas station would cancel the transaction and the money would be back in my account by the end of the day. but!!!! on TOP OF the $43.48 charge, i had TWO charges for $74. when i expressed this to the lady, she wanted no part in anything and because she (personally) did not know anything about cashapp she refused to be of any assistance. so my stepmom called her manager (the owner i'm assuming) who was about the same amount of help that she was. as an 18 year old who works 2 jobs to pay for everything she has, including her car, i was absolutely devastated when i saw my money was gone so of course i was crying. i was the kindest soul to that woman and just wanted to get down to the problem. i threw NO accusations towards ANYONE because it was the pump (not her) that took my money and she was still so disgusting towards me and my stepmom. so blatantly rude and cruel. she simply kept repeating "i don't know" and "i don't know what you want me to do about it" and "it's not my fault". we completely understood that she had no idea about what cashapp was, BUT in this day & age...we have phones. we just wanted her to call SOMEONE who could help or even just shed some light on what the $74 charges could be. with all that being said, i will pick my gas stations very wisely and can wholeheartedly say i will NEVER return to this gas station and will steer everyone i know away from them.

And a light shone down from the heavens, and illuminated the Boar's Head cracked peppermill turkey, which is undoubtedly the finest sliced turkey in all the land...except you can't find it within a hundred miles of here. That alone would have me coming back on a regular basis, but NACs also has the rest of the Boar's head selection (salami, hams, cheeses, etc.), and also salads (the mayo-based variety), condiments, bacon, horseradish, as well as tons of other meat (as you may expect from a meat market). They've got lots of sausage, ground beef (in patties, spiked with seasonings, or otherwise), a good selection of chicken in large and small packs, dark and light meat, pork butts and ribs for smoking, as well as steaks and chops. Just a warning: They may not have specialty cuts, as this is not a huge shop, and this is a small town. They didn't have skirt steak (which is what I was hoping for) because they don't sell enough of it, which is understandable. But if you want a steak, they do have NY strips when they aren't sold out, flank steak, rounds, and more. That aside, the folks behind the counter are super nice, and Grandma's Mac Salad is a must. There's way more mayo than I'd have the courage to put in at home, and it's goddamn delicious. My wife and I basically ate a pound of it before we even got home. Get some.
