I won't go into details of our experience, but almost everything that could go wrong, did - the only saving grace is we finally got a refund (minus a $15 fee) but only after weeks of calling. I ordered a Nikon camera lens from Fumfie. Normally, I do camera shopping with upstanding, familiar websites. I checked Fumfie's Yelp reviews after the order, and I became extremely concerned. My experience with Fumfie was acceptable. * Delivery was scheduled for 5 - 8 days. Shipment was completed on the fifth day. * No attempt to upsell anything. * No post-order phone calls to confirm the order, etc. * A FedEx confirmation number was phoned on the fourth day. * Cost was half of the retail prices found elsewhere. * Lens was new with all accessories exactly as advertised, but sans a warranty card. * Lens was well packed in a white box, not a yellow and black Nikon box. * Lens was tested and appears to be functioning normally. read more

I have been the victim of non-delivery of a product, and then refusal to refund my purchase price . This is on top of false advertising for said product, which they never even had. Now I know why they have 53 complaints against them this year alone with the BBB, most of them for non-delivery of products or advertising issues. I purchased a refrigerator from them with my Visa debit card on July 29, 2014 and paid for expedited 7-10 day shipping. I found out after that the refrigerator was never in stock, yet they told me it was on national backorder. Each week they told me it "would be coming in the next week." It never did. I started trying to cancel my order on Oct 3, and was told of new dates for the national backorder to arrive. I attempted to cancel my order multiple times: 10/3, 10/11, 10/24, 10/31 and 11/13. Each time I was told it would be there the following week and was offered extended warranties to not cancel my order. In fact, one of the times I tried canceling was 10/31 and the "warehouse manager" Steve told me that a refrigerator mysteriously showed up and was being sent out to me. 12 days later, nothing. I made my final cancellation request on 11/13 when Steve admitted that the refrigerator was not coming in and I would be getting a refund along with another extended warranty. When I didn't receive my refund by Dec 1, I contacted them again and was told that "they were having a problem with their credit cards" and that they would be mailing me a check sometime in mid December. Steve told me they have to go through a system of checks and balances, investigations and a lot of other nonsense. I threatened to contact the BBB and he finally called me back and said the check will be in my hands by Dec 5. Well, it is now Dec 5 and no check. I called again and spoke with Steve. He told me the same garbage again, that the accounting department needs to go through checks and balances and won't send me my refund until they are done. Always one absurd excuse after another. I repeatedly asked to speak to the accounting department and was always told that "they don't speak to people" Bottom line, I have been strung along for 4 months. They've refused to cancel my order. They refuse to issue me a refund. They lie about product availability. They lie about sending out refunds. I am still waiting for my $2595 refund and have contacted the BBB, NY Consumer Affairs, FTC, and NY Attorney General among other agencies to help. This place is a disaster. My account was debited on 12/30/14 for a refrigerator that I had ordered a week prior. The refrigerator was supposed to be delivered by the 2-3 week in January. It did not come. I called back and spoke to their customer service manager, Joyce, who promised it would ship within a few days. Never heard back. Two more calls with Joyce (who is an unabashed liar) in February, still no refrigerator. Then I spoke to Elliot on 2/26/15 who provided a tracking number with AM shipping. I was told it would ship on 2/27/15. As of 3/3/15, it still had not shipped, so I called AM Trucking and was told by their customer service that Fumfie had still not made the appliance ready for pickup. These guys are really bad, in many ways. I purchased an item on their website and during the order process we were informed that we would get an order acknowledgement via email. When we did not get an order acknowledgement, we called to check on delivery status. We were told it would take 10-14 to process the order. We canceled the order then and there. They first wanted to add 3%, for an order not confirmed or processed. They then offered a full refund, and indicated it would happen in 7 days. Two weeks later, no refund. BTW, after canceling, we purchased the same item from someone else, lower price, delivered the next day! Update ~ After I contacted the BBB, a refund was finally issued for the full amount. They lied on the BBB by stating that I had called and canceled because I could not get delivery the next day, which is not the case. I called to get two things; an order confirmation, and a delivery date. After I was told it would be 10-14 days to get an order confirmation (not a delivery date, a confirmation) I cancelled the order. I ordered a window AC unit through fumfie's website. They were the cheapest I could find for the unit. Their website showed it in stock. After weeks of nothing, I contacted fumfie only to learn that the unit was out of stock with no known date for shipment. Fumfie offered to sell me another unit with identical specs at an additional cost of course. The price for the more expensive unit was the same as other re-sellers. Fumfie also promised "expedited shipping". Because we were in the middle of a heat wave I agreed thinking I would get the unit in a couple of days. Over two weeks later the unit arrived. I would hate to hear what regular shipping would be!! So it took almost 6 weeks total for the unit to arrive! The unit arrived with significant cosmetic damage; dents and scratches and the box was very beat up. I contacted Fumfie and they offered a very small partial refund for the damage. I no longer needed the unit since the heat wave had passed for the year but I agreed because I was tired of dealing with this. I never received the refund and am now forced to dispute the charge with my credit card company. This is the worst run company. Avoid at all costs!! read more

After much shopping I found the camera I wanted (Nikon D5500) at Fumfie for the lowest price anywhere ($480). This was about $40 less than the lowest price on eBay. I ordered without doing any research on Fumfie. A thing I usually never do for any products I buy but for some reason I did this time. I placed the order using PayPal and got a call from them about 30 min. later. I missed the call but in that time I did research the company. I was terrified by the negative reviews and thought I had made a mistake. When I called them back the person who called me was unavailable. They said he would call me again in another 30 min. He didn't. So, I called back again. He was still unavailable so I asked why I needed to speak to him at all and was told it was to "verify the order". I asked why someone else can't help me with that and was told because I was "his account". So, I waited again and he did call me back. There was no sales pitch or upsell just a simple "your order is verified and will ship out today" along with some general questions and chat about which camera I was using before. The next day I received the FedEx tracking number in the email and it was delivered today. It is just as described. A brand new in the box Nikon D5500. As I said there are a lot of negative reviews about Fumfie but my personal experience was very positive. I think people are getting the calls to verify and the sales pitch because there is an option during checkout to have them follow up with you. Just don't check that box and I think they will simply send your order without calling you. Maybe not. Just received my Sony 55mm 1.8 Zeiss lens today and couldn't be more thrilled! I was so skeptical after I placed my order last week and reading all the reviews. I never received a confirmation number the day I ordered so I thought for sure I got scammed. I was going to cancel the following day but got busy at work. Around lunch time I received a call from James to confirm. He did try upsell on some filters but I declined. I figured I would wait another day to see if I got a tracking number and to my surprise I did. Thank goodness I didn't have to go through the cancellation process. The lens is brand new, wrapped in the original packaging.. took a few test shots and am SO in love. This lens can run up to $999+ and I got it for $745 with free shipping. I'm writing this review based on the cancellation I made and the time it took to reimburse my credit card-- I called the number given and dialed the ext. i spoke with a representative who was helpful and kind. He asked for my order number and the reason for my return. Shortly after I received a confirmation email regarding my refund. The next day my account was fully credited. So, you have to just acknowledge that you're going to get a website that's a little dated, some inventory hiccups, and sometimes a long hold -- they're competing on margins and it shows. For example, the camera I ordered wasn't actually in stock and took longer than expected to fulfill. But when I hit this big snafu, their customer service (specifically, Elliot) went the extra mile. He helped me out the whole way through and made sure I got my order when I needed it by -- in the end, they overnighted it for free. Never ever buy from Fumfie.com. The prices seems to good to be true but that is not the worth the mental and emotional stress these guys give you. I ordered a very high end DSLR and a Superwide Lens along with some accessories which was partially financed. After I paid for my part of the price, and the finance company provided the purchase order, they sent me a shipping email with tracking number and that's when the actual drama started. Even after two weeks and numerous phone calls/emails, the product never arrived. After two weeks i got a phone call from their customer service manager called Patrick, who was extremely rude from the time he called me and he told me that they had packed the wrong product and they are waiting for the product that I ordered to arrive. When I tried to explain my frustration then he was like, 'I called you so you have to listen to me'. He gave me an option to cancel my order but I was a fool not to. And yes, during this two weeks of waiting they reduced the price of the DSLR by around another $500. Finally after another week, I received the order and they sent me the correct DSLR and Lens but they messed up with the accessories (counterfeit batteries and incorrect memory cards). I started following up for the refund of the price difference between my order and their shipping of the product, and also for the incorrect accessories. but it's almost 6 weeks now and no resolution. I learnt my lesson very hard way. Never to deal with them ever again and discourage everyone in the photography business to deal with them (I've a huge network of photo professionals). Ordered a newly released camera from them only because they claimed it was in stock. 2 days later received a message i had to call them claiming my card had come in "pre-declined". Salesman told me he would send my tracking number. 3 days later no tracking, no package. Finally when i threatened to cancel my order if it had not shipped they told me it would ship "this weekend". It is now October 13, and after two calls earlier this month and a third today inquiring about the status of my order and reiterating the need for the appliance by October 17, 2014, it does not appear that my item has shipped. It's been very disappointing dealing with Fumfie's customer service. For one, their warranties seem worthless. I sent in my camcorder that wasn't functioning correctly, and they said that the damage wasn't covered even though they admitted that it was probably caused by what I considered to be a default of the device. They wouldn't budge on any compensation. They did say that they would fix a minor problem that it had, but when I got it back, they hadn't. They proved on more than one occasion that they were not willing to work with me on any of these issues. I was stonewalled at every request for consideration. The reason for two stars is: one star to Jessica and one star to Jeanine who work in customer service and made an earnest effort to remedy our refund problem. But sadly the folks in the finance department did not process our refund in a timely manner ( over two weeks) and we had to enlist the help of the credit union to get our refund. The finance guy was not polite and gave us the run-around several times, once stating they never received the return, then stating the money would be refunded by a certain day and it wasn't. Then he said it was being held up by the credit union, and it wasn't. At one point he said the refund was completed, and it wasn't. Additionally, we received an email that our initial order was cancelled by Fumfie because they were out of stock. When I called to verify that it was cancelled, before buying elsewhere, I was informed that they now had them in stock and I was encouraged to place another order. Which I did. Then we received two of the same $700 item, and charged twice, as well. Lastly, Fumfie has very limited customer service hours. One night I called at 4:45 and was put on hold for 15 minutes. At 5:00pm EST a message came on the phone stating they were now closed - nobody cared enough to at least finish speaking to the customers who were on hold before closing up shop. I was very upset to be on hold for 15 minutes and then have to call back the next Business day. DO NOT buy from this Vendor. I purchased the Canon EOS 250 D that was supposed to be like new (QUESTIONABLE). I went thru the invoice and the package to assure all the items were included. At this point i am feeling great. Right out of the box this Camera displayed a message "Change the Battery Pack ". Since the camera came with 2 battery I obliged, still same message "Change the Battery Pack". Both batteries were charged and still same issue (NOTE: NO LIGHT ON THE CANON CHARGER WERE DISPLAYED DURING CHARGING. NEW IS TRULY QUESTIONABLE ). At this point I attempted to reach out to the seller to no avail. After repeatedly not getting assistance I contacted Amazon whom could not contact this seller as well. Now get this, per the sellers Amazon listing for returns. The sellers wants you to 1) pay for return shipping for a defective product right out of the box that they sold you. 2) wants you to pay a restock fee for a defective product they sold you right out of the BOX. At that point i took things into my own hand, doing my legal diligence. DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING NOT EVEN A CAMERA STRAP FROM THIS SELLER. I was very suspicious when placing my order, having read all the negative comments. But overall my experience with fumfie has been excellent. They will call you shortly after you placed your order, to try and sell you additional accessories, in a very polite and non-pushy way however. The guy I had on the phone (Michael) was really nice and patient. Few hours after placing my order, I had an e-mail confirming that it was shipped. Fedex brought me my package in two days (I chose the 2-days delivery). The camera and lenses were in their original package, and registered on the Canon website without an issue. Great experience overall, and a $300 difference with amazon. read more

Very poorly run company in all regards. Low integrity, and no professionalism whatsoever. They don't care if you have a $20 order or a $2000 dollar order, it makes no difference. I had a very expensive order and kept getting the run around. Customer service is abysmal and it is very difficult to get someone on the phone. You can expect to be on hold for an hour sometimes, and even more awesome is when you are on hold for an hour and then you get their automated message saying that they are now closed. Make sure you call them more than an hour before closing time in case you are on hold for an hour because otherwise they will just slam the door in your face just before you are about to speak to someone. Fumfie will waste lots of your time and their shipping estimates are a joke. I have no idea how this company has any good reviews whatsoever. They estimate 5-8 "working" days for your order....which is sort of true because no one there is ever working! If someone tells you that your order is in the shipping department about to get picked up by fed ex, ask them to send you a picture because they are probably lying. Their email support is totally dysfunctional also. For example right now when you try to contact them through their website it says "server is down". You can't call them and can't email them and of course they close at noon on Friday and are closed for the weekend. Maybe it is best I never get my order because there will probably be something wrong with it anyway. I placed an order for the Sony a7II body only camera, which came with a free bundle package (all junk, but hey it was free) it said the camera is in stock. I didn't think to look up reviews on Fumfie.com before that, but I did afterwords. All the reviews I saw were pretty scary, and mostly said the same thing. A few days later I started getting calls from blocked numbers, I don't answer blocked calls so I ignored them. Then I got an email from Fumfie saying that "I need to call them to complete my order" and that they have been trying to call me, which is what everyone said in their reviews. Basically they want to try to sell you more stuff, and that's exactly what happened. I explained to him I didn't have any more money to spend on it right now, but that if everything went well with my order I would buy from them when I get paid again. He assured me that it was in stock and that the order would go out that day and that I would be getting a tracking number shortly, and he guaranteed it would be here by the end of the week. Then he hung up on me. The next day I looked at my account on the site and saw that it said "in shipping" next to my order, cool, but still no tracking number. So I called and asked for one but they told me it was being prepared for shipping and that I would get on when it shipped, soon. I still never got one so I looked a few days later and on my account page, under my orders, I could see hundreds and hundreds of orders placed, and if I clicked on them I could see names, addresses, what the order was for, etc. All the info on the person, except their credit card number. I never logged out of the site before this, since my initial signup, I chose the "keep me logged in option" so how could I be seeing all this info? The site allows you to download a pdf of your invoice from the orders page, so I could actually download a pdf of every single order placed with them from other people, and all the persons info on it, hundreds and hundreds of orders. I checked my credit card and didn't see any charges, so I called Fumfie and told them what was going on. Of course they had no idea, and asked me to send them screen shots of what I saw. I looked later and saw that it was fixed, still, huge security flaw on their site. Glad I used PayPal. But before we got off the phone I asked about my order, he told me that it WAS NOT in stock and that they are hoping to get some in with their next camera shipment tomorrow, which would be Friday, and for me to call him back at 3pm and because of my trouble they would throw in a extra battery for free, or that I could get a refund or a different camera... Ok... why is it "in shipping" when it's not in stock? The website says it's in stock, the guy trying to sell me extra stuff says it's in stock. He said he doesn't know why the other guy would've told me it was. So I call him back at 3pm on Friday, they were closed. I looked at the site and saw they close every Friday at 3pm and that customer service doesn't open again until Monday. I'm pretty fed up at this point. You can actually place phone orders on Sunday, so I called and acted like I was going to place a new order, I asked if the exact same camera, the Sony a7II, I ordered was in stock, he told me yes that it for sure was. So I explained to him who I was and what was going on, and asked why was I being lied to?? He told me I needed to call customer service on Monday and that there was nothing he could do, that he only handles new orders. And he also said he doesn't know why the other two guys would tell me those things, which seems to be consistent with them. So I call customer service first thing Monday morning, a different, more friendly guy explains to me that, even though my order was placed over a week ago, because I didn't choose a express shipping option that I was not as much a priority as some one who would order after me, if they chose an express shipping option (even a week later) that they would come first no matter how long I was waiting. So a week and a half after I placed my order I still have nothing, with no end in sight. He told me that I was right, and that they were wrong and that if I wanted a refund that he could do it right away and that it would be back in my account buy the next day. So I did. I checked back around 3pm that day, still nothing so I called the billing department this time. A different guy said "oh, you want a refund?" YES I DO!!! And he pushed it through immediately, I saw an email from PayPal while I was still on the phone with him. Were they waiting on me to confirm I wanted a refund, again? So a few minutes later I placed an order for the same camera on B&H Photo, it's in stock, they sent me a tracking number that evening and it's on its way to me.
